The Iranians are far too cowardly to attack Israel (and it would be a retaliatory strike, anyway). Iran is not afraid of the United States -- they remember how the United States sat with its thumb up -- well, you know where -- while the United States Embassy in Teheran (U.S. soil, by the way) was invaded and hostages taken.
The Iranians are very afraid of Israel, because they know what we have done to them already and what we are capable of doing. Actually, they can only imagine. The type of weaponry that Israel can bring against Iran will shock and amaze the United States, too, of that you can be certain.
But Israel is a sovereign state with every right to secure its existence. Iran has, for over thirty years, threatened that existence. And if cowardly Iran retaliates against an Israeli pre-emptive strike by targeting a U.S. asset -- well, that would be your problem, wouldn't it?
