Facebook is fun, I never need to leave the house to know what everyone is up to. It's my lifeline. How could they consider removing these girls lifelines? The world is not a safe place, but facebook is.

Why should anyone be surprised, its a time of DIN iber alles, as in v'ahavta et HaDin, so . . . . . When we lived near Bet Shemesh, we had to send our daughter to school, a religious school near the shopping center was convenient. We were told by the woman in charge, no cell phones allowed. I asked what if there is a security need, and we have to get our daughter to safety? No exceptions. Virtual reality is a phenomenon of the 21st century. Even for some is the only reality, substitutes values. I'm not an amateur (I'm in Internet before www), but I have not (and never would have) FB for one reason only - no online real things. I want to have living friends, not virtual, I want real conversations with real people not with computers. I don’t want to neglect Zuckerberg’s work, on the contrary - it's brilliant.

Suppose someone will finance an alternative to Facebook for all girl with modest view , Muslim, Jews, Christian and Buddhist , and suppose all the girls will become friends, I am sure that when they will become mothers they will not let their children kill each other any more.

Nobody is concerened about your experience

no FB, no cell phone, no students of the opposite gender, no immodest clothing, etc. etc... I read what happens: Rabbis abusing children, men abusing women, men not serving in the army, women having 12 kids AND supporting a husband who is too busy praying to earn money, Haredy demonstrating, beating up women- bottomline: in the end same as the bad secular world with abuse, brutality, porn, ignorance. Raise responsible children instead !
