Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
2. Enrichment
David Max   (04.02.12)
Enrichment must NOT be allowed at all cost. The Ayatollahs can't be relied on and once the have all the enriched uranium, parts & technology ready, they can assemble the nuke within 3-4 days.
3. Lets face it the west specifically Israel..
Chris.B ,   Australia   (04.02.12)
has no choice than to accept Iran is a nuclear power.Iran doesn't need a bomb to project power. Israel can be easily destroyed by conventional means. The smartest thing for America to do would be help the Iranian peaceful nuclear program and restore relations with Iran.
4. If the discussion is not open ended...
Israeli 2   (04.02.12)
why would Iran accept the discussion? If the discussion IS open ended...Iran would have plenty of time to continue working on its bomb. Thus...either way, Iran will NOT give in to sanctions and discussions are a waste of time.
5. Its a JOKE
Moshe ,   Jerusalem   (04.02.12)
What about the hidded things under the ground that they will not show
6. Why don't you offer rods, wise guys. Iran started enrichment
Miron ,   USA   (04.02.12)
after runnign out of isotopes for its cancer treatment facilities. Why should Iranian die from brain cancer on Obama's wim? Who the heck do we think we are? The issue is not enrichment. The issue is demand to close nuclear energy production facilities. Because nuclear energy means defence. Not by arms, idiots. It means people have enough energy to build country, morons. And that means sustainable peace. It's not Iranians Obama is stifiling. It's us, Americans.
7. # 6 you are Insane

14. GLOWING CINDERS..........................#12
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (04.02.12)
Are type of words exclusively used by Sarah.Don't violate her rights. She lives in the dream world of seeing seeing Iran turning into glowing cinders.
15. Iran already has
Richard M   (04.02.12)
Iran already has enough 20% enriched Uranium for 4 nukes (just 1 is enough to wipe pout Israel). So even if they stop now, wont make any diffrerence.
16. Great In Theory, Not Realistic
Aharon   (04.02.12)
For any rational Western nation, this plan would probably work. However, Iran is not such a nation, and the plan doesn't give any punishment measures if Iran doesn't comply with the plan. What if Iran enriches at 21%, will it be ok to attach their facilities then (assuming they're not to buried)? Or will Iran just receive a letter from the IAEA telling Iran how disappointed it is that they're not following the plan?
17. Iran is a nuclear power
JD   (04.02.12)
There is nothing any power in the world can do to reverse this fact. They have gained the knowledge which can not be destroyed with military action. The P5+1 will have to understand the facts on the ground.
18. #17 so is Pakistan and India... and UK and France and China
Miron ,   USA   (04.03.12)
and nuclear stations operate in each of the Gulf states, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE. There is hardly one country in the world that counts herself a developed country and misses nuclear reactor. So, I am not sure what is your point? My point is who gave Obama right to name Iran CAST AWAY NATION??? America, go find another country to back up this sort of behavior.
19. It is all meaningless
Matt   (04.04.12)
Meaningless in the sense that Iran will continue to stockpile Uranium, use laser centrifuges, continue to build enrichment facilities, continue to build the solid fuel IRBM and develop ICBM, build the modified nose cones. So they have all the parts they just need a few months to put it all together. On the assurance they will not build a nuclear bomb. There plan has always been that with or without sanctions when they go nuclear it will be quickly and large. Russia and China will not support more sanctions so once they are removed they are not going back on. It is a sideshow of a sideshow, plan for a nuclear Iran.
20. Bottom Line ...
Elliott A. ,   Sammamish, USA   (04.07.12)
Obama will never attack Iran. Israel will never attack Iran unless it has credible evidence an attack is imminent or Iran attacks Israeli international interests. Diplomacy is merely an excuse to buy time on all sides. Iran will attack Israel when it believes it can destroy it because there will be no international response
