1. Begs the question..How did a PM acquire these pieces of Art?
Al   (04.08.12)
The man was a boor and a lout. He refered to the settlers as nothing more than those who ought to spin in the wind. His legacy was to invite killers into Israel, arm them and expect to make peace with them, all the while they sowed nothing but death and destruction. His legacy is that no Israeli anywhere in Israel is safe and secure in his own land. Arabs kill Jews with nay a concern or regret. That was his legacy. His legacy like that of Sharon, will end up in the trash bin of Jewish history.
2. #1, These are dirt cheap prices even today.
Mea   (04.09.12)
The original prices were probably closer to a mere 500 dollars, or perhaps even less. Granted the state was more openly socialist back then, but I know many Israelis have original art in their homes rather than reproductions, and when that art comes onto the market as the first generation of Israelis born post statehood passes on, Israeli art will take a place at the international table. It will become a commodity.
