coal. What are you waiting for? I've written about coal forever. Are you people that dense that you dont get it. You cant rely on them for anything. If you move to coal you will not have to supply gaza with electricity. You know and I know that Gaza gets electricity from Israel because of gas from egypt. Cut them off and be done with them.
4. "unpopular with some Egyptians" should be ALL!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.09.12)
We have huge gas reserves off our coat by we still buy from Egypt which is well on the way to abrogating the "Peace" agreement and is hostile towards Israel. As usual, the Government is dragging its feet and the gas supply will be read in 2013 or in Israel time 20 who knows! Something "smelling" in the gas business?
5. So far for
Mara ,   Vienna   (04.09.12)
Egypts ability (or even intention?) to get control over Sinai! Sooner or later Israel will have no other choice than to take over. Meanwhile Egypt will have a lot of fun with the Sinai terrorists!
6. Reuters anti-Israel bias
Shmuel ,   Anaheim, CA, USA   (04.09.12)
You can count on Reuters (and AP, NBC, etc.) to twist any story in an anti-Israel direction. They word the issue as "accusing Israel of not paying enough for the fuel". So, it's Israel's fault, according to Reuters, that Egypt agreed to the price that it receives for their gas. As this is a deal that both Israel and Egypt signed to the benefit of both sides, the Egyptian complaint is nothing more than a manifestation of their desire to terminate the peace treaty and any relations with Israel.
7. To: No. 3

No need. Israel sits atop and controls two of the largest natural gas fields in the world. Leviathan is scheduled to go live at the end of this year. Israel will have fuel in abundance then.
