1. YISRAEL
cristian ,   bs as arg   (04.10.12)
the bible shows the lord as the protector and defender of yisrael, the fact that i will defend yisrael does not mean that yisrael is more or less secure but to the lord it not important that their sons of all ages bless and defend yisrael why do such warning in genesis? psalm 121 tells that never it sleep which saves to israel, the prophet zechariah said that sion is the eye of the lord, any nation to come against yisrael will be in effect against the eyes of the lord and that would not be a part of anyone intelligent action
2. For once the little also ran is RIGHT.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.10.12)
3. Better yet, recognize Jerusalem as belonging to the Jews in
Rivkah   (04.10.12)
its entirety without division or ownership of it divided. Give it all to the Jews or Armageddon will be at the door. That is what the Prophet Joel warns. The dividing of Jerusalem leads to Armageddon, Joel prophesied long ago of the latter days.
4. Santorum is obviously right
Dr Yeruham Leavitt ,   Kiriat Arba, ISRAEL   (04.10.12)
I must admit that I do not follow American internal politics very carefully. But on the basis of what I read here I can say that Santorum is obviously right. Israel is maybe the most conquered land in the world. Without making much of an effort I can count ten conquests from the time of the Canaanis. Anyone who acquired a right to land under any of these conquests is recognized by the world as the rightful owner. Only our conquest, since 1948 and 1967, is considered illegitimate. Why? Dr Yeruham Leavitt, Kiriat Arba, ISRAEL
5. Jerusalem IS the undivided Capital
Spencer ,   Israel   (04.10.12)
Of course Barak HUSSEIN Obama wont officially recognise Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel,He's anti Israel. But I was surprised to read that Republican hopeful, Romney has not come out and recognised Jerusalem as Israel's Capital. Mr. Romney. Please come out in public and recognise this fact.
6. Who has the last word?!
Taz Man ,   USA   (04.10.12)
It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about the Jerusalem issue; God has the last word on the subject: Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal city of the Jews--period!!! God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem! A Christian Zionist
7. Santorum is right but...
Gilon   (04.10.12)
Santorum is just playing plain politics. He is appealing to evangelicals and American Jews.
8.  Rick is right about this one.
Isabella ,   Tampa USA   (04.10.12)
But he is just too Catholic for this Huguenot! He single handedly got Obama off the suppression of religious rights order by talking about limiting contraception....which it was not about! Then Obummer could scream about a GOP war on women (?) for weeks. Santorum needs to get out of the race NOW!
9. Can you walk the walk, Rick?
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (04.10.12)
Once the Saudis start threatening with higher oil prices, it's likely that Santorum will say the same things as all prior presidents: "...It's up to the parties involved to sort out in negotiations..." etc etc. Some1 wanna bet against???
10. Translation: Santorum won't release Pollard either
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.10.12)
...and using Jerusalem as a fig leaf.
11. Muslims attacking Gospels more than Judaism.
BUTSeriously ,   Australia   (04.10.12)
By negating the Jewish historical Capital and denying there was ever a Jerusalem temple, the Gospels becomes false because it says Jesus visited a mythical temple. The God of Israel has check mated any Christian which denies Jewish their Capital or Hebron.
12. Someone should remind Santorum of 250UN res.
lydia ,   Brisbane   (04.10.12)
Can't make silken purse out of sow's ears even if they have to bribe Santorum to say it is. Israel unilateral declaration of its State and borders enshrined in UN181 as well as 250 UN resolutions says Jerusalem is occupied territory and does not belong to Israel.
13. I think Romney would support it: just hasn't said it
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (04.10.12)
Obama, after his sick and stupid move of saying he would tolerate a nuclear Iran, will most certainly lose the election. With that policy, he has only one chance of even making it a remote possibility for presidential consideration: he would have to attack and obliterate Iran and Syria. Kind of painted himself into the corner. Truth be told, he only killed two terrorists throughout his time in office without making ANY progress anywhere in his position as far as economy, peace, setting intelligent goals or changing the status quo: he did the opposite: he ransacked the constitution and raped the american people of rights. Romney or Santorum would be a good choice but I'd rather see the loose wire Gingrich make it in: at least he's got the experience and the will to make tough decisions.
14. We don't need this guy's help--ever!
Baruch ,   USA/Israel   (04.10.12)
Sarah Santorum is a liar, a bigot, a racist divider, a condescending hypocrite and those of us who are watching him closely do not trust him one bit. Sarah Santorum supports laws that will set women back a century, promote a national religion, and support a world that would unquestioningly accept every word he utters (sound familiar). We are Jews, Jersulalem is ours, it is not divisible, nor is it a recent acquisition, we appreciate deeply the support and friendship of the United States, but let us not get dragged into their political infighting. While we all have our concerns abolut our own government, in the end it at least governs--this man has no intention of considering the well being or safety of anybody but his own vanity. We are not insecure, weak, and dependant children waiting for any nod of approval--we can stand on our feet and choose our allies and recognize those who we can trust. Stand up and tell this Sarah Santorum that we are not pawns in his game!
15. Jerusalem and liberal jews......
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (04.10.12)
The G-dless, faithless, assimilated jew, addicted to the Democratic Party's "values" is not interested in Jerusalem. He is a jew to show off his Rolex watch, his Mercedes and his wife's diamonds and furcoat at a Bar Mitzvah party and feast on lobster and pork at a chinese restaurant.
16. That's what they all say
Ed   (04.10.12)
CANDIDATE GEORGE W. BUSH ON THE JERUSALEM EMBASSY MOVE... • "A Bush spokesman told JTA that the governor supports moving the embassy and Bush has said in the past that he 'would start the process as soon as I got sworn in'" (Jewish Telegraphic Agency, December 2, 1999). • "George W. Bush, the front runner in the race for the Republican presidential candidacy, has declared that he will move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem the day he is inaugurated as U.S. president. Bush was speaking at a large gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Washington" (Ha'aretz, December 3, 1999). • "But something will happen when I'm president: as soon as I take office I will begin the process of moving the U.S. ambassador to the city Israel has chosen as its capital" (remarks before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, May 22, 2000). • "Something else will happen when I take office in January 2001: I will set in motion immediately the process of moving the U.S. ambassador to the city Israel has chosen as its capital, Jerusalem" (response to the American Jewish Committee's Election 2000 Questionnaire, October, 2000). And the reality: According to a report today from the Associated Press, "President Bush has backed off a campaign pledge to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and will keep it in Tel Aviv."
17. SANTORUM FOR PRESIDENT!
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (04.10.12)
18. good
bill ,   canada   (04.10.12)
good to see losers supporting israel go ask the greeks for help
19. Santorum
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (04.10.12)
Expressing the idea of recognizing Jerusalem as "Israel"'s capital automatically disqualifies Rick Santorum from holding any public office in America. It saddens me to have to say this, because he is in many other ways a fine Christian gentlemen.
20. Rick, talking to YOUR pope about this is even MORE SINCERE!!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (04.10.12)
21. DESPERATE SANTORUM is not very smart..
HAMID ,   Abu Dhabi - UA E   (04.10.12)
Pandering to the Jewish vote is a last ditch effort in his loosing effort .. The Philly Jews are all laughing at him.
22. We can't really expect the US to recognize Jerusalem...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (04.10.12)
as Israel's undivided capital until Israel itself gets rid of the al-Aqsa mosque and re-installs it's own Temple.
23. Santorum's importance at the moment equals mine !!
tom ,   tel aviv   (04.10.12)
24. Cheap talk from a cheap man to get cheap votes.
WikiMiki   (04.10.12)
25. #12
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.10.12)
No one cares about UN resolutions or International Law, only poltiical interests. Obama eradicated Libya and murders Afghani children because he thinks it is good for him. He supported shooting and raping medical personnel in Bahrain because he thought it was good for him. Santorum is correctly saying that recognizing Israel's exclusive sovereignty in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria is a critical American interest.
26. Obama & Romney can't recognize it
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.10.12)
Simply because Obama is a Muslim & Christian's don't consider Romney as one of them
27. No surprise!! Obama at first refused to even accept Israel's
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.10.12)
right to exist as the independent nation-state of the Jewish people. It was only towards the beginning of the present elections season that Obama ceased talking about "two state solution" and began to adopt the more appropriate "two-states for two-peoples" concept. Sadly, some of us, Jews, will continue to be fool by him...!!
28. 25.Israel is not US but a pisant squat in the ME
lydia ,   Brisbane   (04.10.12)
Surrounded by 300mil justifiable angry Muslims and without US support Israel is nothing, zilch, nada. If the UN resolutions and International law means nothing to Israel why then should Iran whose civilization is years more advanced with a population greater than Israel be expected to comply if Israel doesn't. .
29. read this talkback posters reply, you know Rick is OUT, SAD!
mary of bethany ,   singapore   (04.10.12)
because US is littered with majority Leftists, Liberals, Muslims, and alarming great number of Left-hate Jews.... just continue reading some talkbacks here, nuff said!
30. Oww..Owww.Oww Lydia #28
Ram ,   London   (04.10.12)
Whatever is distorting your reasoning capabilities cannot change facts. They are: 1) Israel is classed an "ally" of the US. That means they both benefit from each other, i.e. Israel is not just a "protege'" of the US...not a dead weight..like some other states. 2) There are enforceable and non-enforceable UN resolutions. None of the resolutions that Israel has not abided by are enforceable. Besides, don't you think the UN is a bit of a joke when you know the majority vote is guaranteed by despotic members? 3) Iran's population is more advanced than that of Israel? Admittedly they are more numerous than Israelis but..more advanced? This is where you show up your level of intellect! 4) Israel has never signed into the IAEA and hasn't any obligation to comply by its rules. Iran has. Besides, Israel has never declared possession of nuclear arms, let alone threaten to obliterate other states. Just some facts for you to consider.
