I wish to point out to all those using terms like SS and Nazi and war criminal that they are not only stupid but they are far beyond that. If the man is 84 today then he was born in 1928. This being the case he could not have been more than 14/15 or so at the height of the Nazi regime and in the middle of wwii. Hardly a candidate for terms like war criminal or Nazi as have been used here. A person of that age is called a minor and is not responsible for his actions, in contrast to the man of today who is indeed responsible for what he states and does. So you can justify Grass as much as you want: his opinions are shared by millions: Fatah, Hamas and Iran, Neo-nazis and radical Leftists, extreme Catholics and Klansmen, skinheads and Arab firsters.
