61. Stop the ISM deserves praise for this
Stop the ISM ,   New York, New York   (04.13.12)
Lee Kaplan and StoptheISM.com have been after the Israeli government for years to do something about these "internationals" (communist-anarchists allied with the Arab-Muslims fascists) from getting into the country and fomenting trouble as human shields for the terror groups. Daily riots in Judea and Samaria are what they bring to the country and they abuse our soldiers and police. No sovereign nation should or does allow this except for Israel. Peace will only come when Israel stands up for itself as it is doing here.
62. To: Sagi at No. 40
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.12)
I think I know to what you are referring, but he to whom you refer was actually born in the small village of Bethlehem HaGalilit, near Nazareth, not in Bethlehem in Judea. Hate to debunk a long-cherished Christian myth, but -- oh well.
63. Israel is more liberal and democratic than the USA
Frank ,   USA   (04.13.12)
Because in my country they would have been escorted to jail and paid a huge fine. The gentle Israeli attitude toward the vicious dogs (the international supporters of the Palestinian Arab terrorism) is not warranted.
64. The problem is the ultra leftist Israeli character
Dan ,   California USA   (04.13.12)
Israel has become very permissive. Obviously the Israelis are in a state of denial that they are not living in one of worst neighborhood on this planet but somewhere in Micronesia surrounded by peace and tranquility. Israel can never let its guard down because it is surrounded by thugs, racists and serial murderers. The only reason the "international" crap is challenging Israel in such fashion is because Israel is too gentle and liberal with her enemies.
65. Where is Palestine?
ltrail ,   United States   (04.13.12)
If anywhere, it is in the heart of the Jewish State of Israel, the Jewish Homeland. What are so-called palestinians? They are people no longer welcome in the homelands of Syriah, Jordan, or Eqypt, for crimes against their countries.
66. #56
Sam M ,   UK   (04.13.12)
As many as it takes is the answer! As long as these morons keep trying to enter Israel they will be denied entry or kicked out! Who cares about public opinion your own included! Since egypt has an appalling human rights record including a shoot to kill policy against destitute african refugees seeking sanctuary in Israel we can safely asume that any activists who dared to protest in your country wouldn't receive a particularly warm welcome either and would be lucky to escape with their lives! Arabs are always the first to raise human rights issues where Israel is concerned when in comparison with the arab world Israel is a veritable paradise not only for Jews but also for palestinians who show no sign of storming the Israeli/egyptian border in search of a better life!
67. '56 #
Sam M ,   UK   (04.13.12)
I meant of course palestinians living on the west bank under Israeli control and not the pals of gaza!
68. #56
Sam M ,   UK   (04.13.12)
You should be more concerned about the terrible problems facing your own country which has more unemployed egyptians than you can throw a stick at while millions more live in abject poverty. And with islamists poised to take control of the government things will only get worse! Egyptians can only look across the border at conditions in Israel with a sense of envy!
69. To: No. 45
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.12)
I agree, except the sentence you propose would not be sustainable. It would be better to classify them as security detainees, in which case they can be held indefinitely. Solitary confinement in the Negev, no speaking to fellow detainees, no cellphones, iPads, iPods, wristwatches, belts, shoelaces, legal representation when Israel gets around to it (there are, after all, far more important issues that Israel must deal with) -- that should take some of the sheen off their zeal.
70. To: Daniel at No. 46
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.12)
Thank you for your kind words. The degree of spin that these phony humanitarians put on everything is remarkable. If they would devote their efforts to trying to bring REAL humanitarian aid to all the places in dire need of such aid, I might take them seriously. As it is, however, they studiously avoid places such as the Congo, or Somalia, or the Ivory Coast, or Sierra Leone, or Libya, or Nigeria, or Zimbabwe, or Syria, or Myanmar .... frauds, all of them. Dyed-in-the wool Jew haters. On the bright side, those that do land in Israel can be immediately detained -- indefinitely -- as security prisoners, under unpleasant circumstances.
71. #64. Israel has to make her enemies pay dearly.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.13.12)
#64 Dan. You make an excellent point. Bashing Jews and Israel has become a no lose game. Cowardly poseurs feel empowered to do anything they want to Israel - knowing they won't be forced to pay any price for it. We must change this situation drastically. Israel must find all ways available to make her enemies pay very dearly.
72. JET2 not refunding tickets. Lufthansa are refunding
Sami ,   New York, USA   (04.13.12)
JET2 not refunding tickets. Lufthansa are refunding.
73. To: No. 56
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.12)
As many as Israel wishes. That's the fun part of being a sovereign state -- you don't need permission to deny entry to anyone seeking to enter. You have a tendency to ask a great many incredibly stupid questions, but I think you've achieved a new low with your absolutely inane query at No. 56.
74. Israelis pretend they live in Iceland surrounded by water
Eric ,   USA   (04.13.12)
Unfortunately Israel is bordering Syria a country of despots and criminals. Hezbollastan and Hamastan are the 2 ugly terrorist entities supported by Iran. The international trash critical of Israel is made of morons who either do not fully comprehend the nature of Palestinian Arab terrorism/fascism or refuse to understand the Middle Eastern neighborhood. They never lost a relative in a pizza parlor or in a disco that was blown up by a Palestinian terrorist. The internationals must be handled the way the USA would handle them. Do not create a 4 or 5 star resort-type detention for them. Treat them as the enemies of the state.
75. A demonstration of Israeli government paranoia
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (04.13.12)
Israel purports to be a normal "liberal democracy", but this small-mindeded demonstration of its siege mentality reflects a desperate insecurity rather than the self assured action of a mature state. A mature state would deal with fly in activists welcoming them in a respectful manner and wishing them a nice time, where ever they go. But instead Israel's government pathetically tries to hang on to Israel as a victim, creating the suspicion that it has something to hide in the occupied territories. (There is no other way for visitors to reach the Palestinian territories than via Israel.) This paranoid behaviour ( incl. threatening sanctions against airlines carrying passengers from the proscribed lists!), one could reason, hides a guilty conscience.

john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (04.14.12)
I would also include no toilet paper on your list.
77.  What . No boats?
Pasquinel ,   Canada   (04.14.12)
78. It does not matter if airlines are cancelling tickets...
Mark Wilson ,   U.S.A.   (04.14.12)
What matters is that those tickets cancelled are by owners who believe that Israel is a criminal state... A point well made whether they make the flight or not...
79. #75 If Jews followed your British crap or all those
Sam ,   USA   (04.14.12)
who did a lot of harm to Jews throughout history there would be no Israel or any Jews. You are very confused. Israel in not in the Kensington-type neighborhood. It is on the border with Hamastan. They know better how to protect their interests against the sick Western supporters of Palestinian Arab terrorism.
80. 75
(04.14.12)
absolute trash! israel has nothing to hide at all. many activists came into the territories and gaza in the past. many! but when trouble makers intend to come in and cause mayhem, yes, israel has the right to deny them entry. just like western countries including the usa denies entry and even deports persons islamists that they deem a national security risk. the case in point is england court order to deport rahid salah and the blind sheik.
81. #75: Another ignoramus Israel-Hater
Simon ,   Los Angeles, CA   (04.14.12)
(There is no other way for visitors to reach the Palestinian territories than via Israel.) If your equally clueless friends want to visit the "Palestinian Territories" they can fly to Jordan and enter through the Allenby Bridge. No need to fly into Ben Gurion airport.
82. # 75
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.14.12)
Tell the truth Ben, you're just so upset that you cant join the activists on their way to Israel because you were yourself deported in 2002 & you can never return (to Israel) Sob, sob.
83. No 75
Emma ,   Arab Occupied London   (04.14.12)
I wouldn't expect you to write anything nice about Israel given your hatred of that country and your desire to demonise her at every opportunity. These activists have no intention of doing anything peaceful, they are coming to cause disruption and spread their hatred of Israel and to do the state harm. As a sovereign state Israel has every right to refuse entry to people who plan to cause disruption. These people, like you, have hatred of Israel and Israelis at their core. Jews do tend to be a bit paranoid about people hating them, we have had thousands of years of experience of where that hatred leads to. You have obviously lived far too long in the UK a country which allows every one of your Muslim hate preacher friends and terrorists to stay in this country (and gives them houses and benefits) but that is because the UK is weak and scared of the rising Islamic influence in the country. Granted Bangor is a long way from the Muslim metropolis of London so you wouldn't really have experienced it.
84. Muy bien, Jorge..!!
Jacinto ,   Tel Aviv-ISRAEL   (04.14.12)
85. Lufthansa and the flytilla
Martin Klein ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.14.12)
I am offended my the notion that my humanitarianism is "false." I also object to the notion that the existence of other horrible regimes somehow justifies what Israel does to Palestinians under its authority. My grandparents left Tsarist Russia over a century ago to escape people like Netanyahu and Lieberman. As a Jew, it offends me to see other Jews acting like the people who once oppressed.
86. To 75, We'll just follow the British example with Geert
The Dude   (04.14.12)
Wilders... The fact is that your statement burns of hypocrisy at its best. You aren't writing this due to support of democracy, free speech, human rights, and so on. If you did you would have been showing the same outrage you're showing now, as to when HMS government blocked the entry of Geert Wilders (I believe he was eventually allowed in but the previous blocking was in contravention to EU law), and many outspoken on the conservative side of politics. And yes this unbelievable when men such as Yusuf al-Qaradawi are welcomed with open arms. Yet the moment Israel starts acting like the UK and the US, which it takes its legal right to have a no-fly' list, it is immediately labeled as 'pathetic', 'paranoid', and 'hides a guilty conscience'. In psychology there is term called, projection or projection bias. It's where someone denies his or her own qualities (the very negative ones are favored) and then ascribe them to the outside world. Generally people, but I think in this case its quite clear....
87. As a Jew
Rasjie ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.14.12)
You should be ashamed of yourself. Living in Canada and making false statements about the only democratic country in the middle east. My parents survived the camps and that's exactly why I live here. The hatred of the Jews and the Islamisation of Europe and the states is what you should worry about. The Arabs in Israel are free and they know it.
88. #85
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (04.14.12)
Sorry that your delicate sensibilities are offended by Israel's actively preventing hordes of troublemaking poseurs from entry into the country. How you can equate this and anything else about Israeli behavior with the savage oppressors of czarist Russia is beyond me. Seen any pogroms against the Palis? Hardly. And other Jews are mightily offended by attitudes like yours. Your lofty viewpoint comes from safe, peaceful Canada. What do you know about the stark realities of life in Israel?
89. #81 This just shows your ignorance
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (04.14.12)
I have entered the Palestinian occupied territories before via Allenby/King Hussein Bridge on previous occasions. But you obviously have not got a clue about the situation there. In order to get in you FIRST have to pass the Israeli border post. They have the same computers as in Ben Gurion. Of course the Jordan Valley is Occupied Territory, not Israeli territory, but it is Israel, which controls everything. The PA checkpoint is just outside Jericho, but nobody gets in or out without first passing the International border point, controlled by Israel.
90. the pathetic defenders & experts of International Law.
tiki ,   belgium   (04.14.12)
This new summer hype of Flytilla's to Israel by a bunch of morons without a job has to be stopped without anymore excuses! Let them find new protest destinations. Damascus is not far away, North Sudan, Irak, Afghanistan, Libia (out of the news/not out of problems), IRAN & many many other places are waiting desperately for their help & expertise.
