1. STALISLAMINISM
DWOLF ,   Monte Sereno, CA   (04.14.12)
Their democracy is the democracy of Stalin where only one party rules and decides on the characteristics of their democracy which includes eliminating all dissidents and eradicating that which the Egyptian youth might have been driving to revolutionize. In its stead is a Stalin like regime. Hitler did the same. He used the Weimar republics democracy to eradicate it. Welcome all the the Arab Spring
2. Suleiman
Fad Egypt   (04.14.12)
is the next president, he will be able to overcome these obstacles because there is no strong justification for that decision God bless this man , he is the man of the hour shalom
3. #2 Fad
Nour ,   One-State   (04.14.12)
Fad, did you read the article? This useless traitor is toast, history, menayel fisiteen neela...& good riddance to him and the military council, and the corrupt business elite, who in 35 years reduced Egypt to a banana republic.
4. @ 3 Nour...Lay Low!!
M Carr ,   Baltimore, USA   (04.14.12)
ā€œ...& good riddance to him and the military council, and the corrupt business elite, who in 35 years reduced Egypt to a banana republic.ā€ Iā€™m curious as to the time or era when Egypt WAS NOT a banana republic. I have my doubts that coming Islamist government will improve things very much. The Muslim Brotherhood is stacking the deck in Egypt and the hammer is about to fall. Suleiman (et al)!!! You better lay low my brothers!
5. Obamas democracy..disqualified in case he wins?

let this country move by its own desire and stop giving them businesses or aid, let iran support them if it can afford, time to let this terrorists admin survive if they can, ha?
8. Something tells me Egypt just lost Sinai
leo ,   usa   (04.15.12)
and Israel gained Gaza.
9. Interesting
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.15.12)
They were asked to disqualify Suleiman and did, but also diqualified Al-Shater (M Brotherhood). A politic, balanced decision disqualifying one person from each end of the political spectrum.
10. Obama fails again
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.15.12)
Suleiman wanted to quit, but Obama forced him to announce his candidacy as one of his desperate moves to make up for destroying American interests because of Obama's unique combination of arrogance, stupidty and racism. Suleiman knows that the only way to control Egypt will be to Bahrain-style and Assad-style massacres. Not only does he not want to massacre his own people, he saw how Obama threw Mubarak under a bus after years of service, and how Obama broke solemn promises to Israel. I would not be surprised if Suleiman is responsible for his own disqualification.
11. Let the orgy begin
Elliott ,   USA   (04.15.12)
Does anyone think any of the losing parties will settle for being a loser? This is barbaric Islam where death is victory. Once the dust settles, the suicide bombers will continue their political cannibalism and Egypt will join Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan enjoying the fruits of sharia
12. This is just setting the table
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.15.12)
The military has absolutely no intention of relinquishing control.
