In northern China, Mandshuria a 100000 jewish community lived between 1900 and 1950. No news about any conflicts with chinese until the communist invasion. So chinese and jews did live together you are not correct.
32. Funny article
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (04.24.12)
Tell that to the average Israeli who makes less than $600.00 a week or the Israeli soldier who earns $100.00 a month

35. #7 - yours is not a very informed post :-(
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (04.24.12)
"long noses" was meant to be humorous. "How much influence do Jews have on Chinese economic policy? 0.1 %? ". Ties Between China And Israel Get Even Stronger. http://tinyurl.com/bpkx2q6 "Sure, Jews may hold high positions in Western financial institutions but ...". Oh really?! Jews are represented by 12% of the Senate for 1.7% of the population. and 12 Jews are in Congress. Oh, and pretty much every bookstore in China has books about Jews in it, displayed with a Star of David next to them. And BTW the Talmud is found on the bookshelf of huge numbers of families in the Far East. The really sad thing is that people click to say that they like your post, when you are simply spreading misinformation :-(
36. Y net Y not?
Shlomo   (04.24.12)
Ynet did not publish my post. It had no swear words, no incisive chat, just honesty for you to debate. I have had many years experience of living in China, but Ynet does not want you to know about it. Maybe it was posted in the Hebrew section which nobody reads.........
37. #29: EXcellent! GREAT Observation, blu.
Israeli 2   (04.24.12)
38. #32 all my working life I never made more that 600 a week
Al   (04.25.12)
and today I am worth millions. How did I do that? Try to figure it out.
39. My experiences in China and other Asian countries
Arnold-Canada ,   Canada   (04.25.12)
Loved the people. Loved the countries. Loved the food and entertainment But what I really learned from the culture was the work ethic and their tenacity in negotiations. Believe me when I tell you they want your business ...but at their price. You really have to get down to the nitty gritty for the pennies but they know where they want to be in the final sale. And it becomes a game of cat and mouse. They are fantastic. I think most westerners give up and just want to shake hands and go out for drinks and dinner.
40. My Chinese cousins and I agree with #29
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.25.12)
I have worked with many Chinese engineers here in the U.S. and I developed friendships with many of them. Of course, we often talked about China and Israel, comparing the two, We call each other "cousins," both as a shared compliment and mutual admiration. I also worked with quite a few Jews and must attest that only a few of them could compare to the Chinese in work quality. In my opinion, Chinese are the smartest and most successful people on earth. I second everything said by #29, and one more thing: when a young Chinese woman signs up for a match, she is the most desired by American men serviced by the matching company. This is statistics I read in an article not long ago. The article did not say it was because Chinese women have shorter noses, but it did say Chinese wives are admired for their loyalty, cleanliness, compassion and support of the husband, as well as several other most desired by men traits.
41. Thank you Ms. Gao!
Elad ,   Houston/Israel   (04.25.12)
Learning, family, responsibility, and earn earning are enormous parts of our culture. Please feel free to explore these things in more detail. Like you, our history is very long, rich, and at time complicated. A bissel emotional, perhaps you visited a seder? Please lets meet more often than just Christmas!
42. #5 You're Hilarious
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (04.25.12)
Maybe the Israelis will use rocks and sticks to defend their country.

Probably none of them, but please ask mr Ehud Olmert, whose parents lived in Mandshuria.
44. to #7, "Long nose" as compliment
Lily   (07.05.13)
I am a Chinese born and raised in Hong Kong, and I can explain. According to Chinese "face reading," nose shows how rich a person will be in his life. "Jewish nose" is not a bad nose at all in Chinese eyes - fortune tellers think that people who have "Jewish nose" are very smart at doing business. Therefore, yes, it is a compliment.
