Naolmi ,   Tel aviv   (04.18.12)
You should be dismiised !!!!!!!!!!! and fast
4. What a shame
Frank ,   Canada   (04.18.12)
Gantz and Barak are the ones who should be dismissed for this ugly action. Eisner should sue them.
5. israel should withdraw from Palestinian land & make peace
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (04.18.12)
Peace benefits everyone.
6. A reasonable punishment
Avramele   (04.18.12)
From the body language of both sides before and after the incident it appears that tensions were low and their was little potential for an out of hand confrontation. Eisner lost it while others under his command kept their cool and kept their annoyance under control. Eisner is not worthy of the martyrdom that would have come with a more severe punishment and a generation of officers are thank god spared training by this bully. Good call.
7. Eisner was pushed too far and an 'edited' tape
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.18.12)
released by the pals is always questionable, as we've later learned by these staged propaganda 'films' that they are edited to the point of being unverifiable. if he weren't in uniform there'd be no problem, he just did what so many of us want to do. The 'protesters' purposefully, physically challenged the IDF authority, they broke the law. I hope this Dane goes back to Denmark with a memorable souvenir, a fat lip for his alliance with the devil. These traveling 'fleas circuses' are at best, cheap theatrics which are staged by anti semitic, anti Israeli out of work nazi bums.
8. I am with Eisner
Iva ,   Italy   (04.18.12)
What a shame this only furher encourages the ISM and the rest of the hate brigade. Three cheers for LT Col Eisner
9. Correct action
Shimon ,   Poleg   (04.18.12)
Whilst I despise the ISM and all of these terror support organisations, I am also a reserve combat officer in the IDF and I must say thet the way this officer acted was a total disgrace. The picture attached to this article says it all. Any Tiron on basic training would be severely punished for just holding and handling his weapon in this manner. An officer should know how to carry, handle and use his weapon and looking at these pictures this man is not acting like an officer in the IDF he looks like an idiot he is holding an automatic weapon with it's magazine inserted with his left non-dimant hand clutching the handguard of the weapon, the strap is not over his shoulder, this is ridiculous and dangerous and the M16 could have been pulled out of his hand with ease. No-combat soldier would ever in his right mind hold his weapon in such a manner while in contact with enemy elements. Eisner is a fool and he has stooped down to the low level of these evil organisations and is in fact by his actions cooperating and supporting their activity.
10. Victory
NACHMAN ,   MA'ALE ADUMIM ISRAEL   (04.18.12)
The only people who will be smiling after this will be the Arab terrorists from whom the brave Lt Col Eisner protected this country and its citizens. This has nothing to do with ethics and everything to do with the IDF deciding it is more important to assuage foreign governments and NGOs who hate us anyway than allowing a soldier who has proved himself beyond a doubt to deal with a situation in the manner required. Apart from Lt Col Eisner no one needed hospital treatment does that not tell the Top Brass something or maybe there is another agenda here - too many dati-im in high officer positions?
11. How pathetic is that!
Israel   (04.18.12)
12. Ganz past successes :Preparing IDF to the last Lebanon War.
ab   (04.18.12)
He was Sharon's Chief of Army Training.Rot had set since then.
13. Commander in IDF
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.18.12)
Who would you prefer in the IDF as a commander? Ehud Barak who let a slightly wounded soldier bleed to death because he couldn't bother to save him? Or Shalom Eisner who, in the Second Lebanon War (caused by Barak), risked his life in an unarmored jeep to recover a wounded soldier (who turned out to be dead), and then brought the body back for decent burial? If I was Hamas, Fatah, Hezbolla or Syria, I would certainly pick Barak. Gantz, Alon, Turgeman, remember one word. Karma.
14. Injustice to Eisner, the Israeli Dreyfus.
Reuven   (04.18.12)
This ought to make the ISM terrorist supporters very happy and encourage their demonizing of Israel!
15. So YNet is celebrating together with Israels enemies.......
YNet lover   (04.18.12)
But pay day will come for all of Israels enemies......
16. Israel's loss- spineless Gantz Barak and Bibi
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (04.18.12)
What Gantz, Barak and Bibi have done is to create a vast moral distance between the people of this country and those who assume the role of leadership. Israel is our home and Eisner's only ambition was to protect us and shield us from harm. Make no mistake - Without Eisner and his kind there is no Israel. Gantz this dark, stupid and altogether shortsighted judgement of Eisner will blacken out everything you have ever done or will ever do. GO HOME!!!
17. Dear Shalom,
GF ,   IL   (04.18.12)
Unfortunately your dreams and beliefs in the State of Israel, and its self hating army have been shattered. Any army that can expel 9000 of its own citizens from their homes is, by no means, an army worth serving in. May you be blessed to go on to find a proper career in an honorable profession.
18. Lt. Col. Shaul Eisner
Sean Bean ,   Sheffield, England   (04.18.12)
We salute you.
19. Ganz, Eisner, Anarchists
Carl ,   Marblehead USA   (04.18.12)
With leaders like Ganz, who needs anarchists? This Chief of Staff rewards anti-Semite foreigners for violating Israeli law and punishes an officer who used non-lethal force to open up an Israeli road that was blocked by people who should never have been allowed into the country. Whose country is it?
20. Good descision. A victory for common sense
Haim ,   TA   (04.18.12)
need to show these right wing lunatics that there is a law in this country and such actions bring disrespect to the IDF and encourage antisemitism. A victory for commen sense
21. Court-martial Gantz
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.18.12)
The man is useless as a commander and despicable as a soldier. He cowers before the enemy. In some countries, that sort of cowardice would win him summary execution in the field.
22. This is why Israel can't win wars anymore
usa   (04.18.12)
Israel has no leaders.
23. To number 5
Shimon ,   Poleg   (04.18.12)
Be careful what you wish for it may come true! If ever there is a Palestinian state it will be an Islamic supremecist state and Christians will be ethnically cleansed from such a place. The Christian 'Palestinians' will be running to LA, Canada and Israel to escape such a future! It's easy for you to talk in the USA. There are more Christian Arabs than Moslem Arabs in the USA. Here in the Middle East it's a different story! My parents were expelled from Aden and my wife's from Tripoli Just as Jews in these countries are history so will be the fate of the Christians. You guy's are 'backing the wrong horse' look see how your fellow christians are doing in Iraq and Egypt, see what'll happen in Syria soon and it'll be worse if your so-called Palestine ever exists. In Lebanon I had a covenant of blood with the Maronites think about this a little while you are on your sofa in the USA watching superbowl and eating fruit loops
24. disgusting
Julie ,   Israel   (04.18.12)
I pray that Jews will mount a campign to protest this despicable decision. Taunting, Jew-hating foreign protesters come before our own loyal, courageous soldiers. Gantz, Barak and Bibi are yellow appeasers. TO Eisner..you are our hero!
25. and what happens to this violent
JULIE ,   Israel   (04.18.12)
disrespectful, anti-Israel, anti-Jewish visitor to Israel who refused to do as a senior IDF told him and in fact actually assaulted the officer??Unbelievable. simply beyond absurdity
26. There is no place for thugs officer
Shai-Zionist!!   (04.18.12)
in IDF good step...
27. #5
Spencer ,   Israel   (04.18.12)
The only ones who DON'T want peace are the Palestinians.
28. Just a miserable thug
Kerem-BR ,   Tel Aviv   (04.18.12)
Well done ISRAEL. Proud to belong to a country where justice is made. Kol ha kavod. Israel. Fire him. Fire him. Fire him.
29. Korban
michael Pielet ,   Israel   (04.18.12)
Lt. Col. Eisner you were sacrificed. The israeli policy is intolerable and incorrect. All the anarchists should be returned upon their arrival. Those anarchists that manage to enter Israel should be deported as soon as they disturb the public peace or public security. In the end you cannot fight "city hall" Wait two years and then begin to move up the command ladder. Israel, the jewish people needs you. Thanks and good luck.
30. This Eisner idiot damaged Israel. He's not the victim.
Harzion ,   Carmiel, Israel   (04.18.12)
