And so long as Turkey continues to make such an reasonable demand on Israel and play games with Israel, so too will Israelis vacation in the thousands of more hospitable destinations, like beautiful Greece.
33. NATO, UN - same joke
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (04.23.12)
We should not care about them. They are useless craps. They can only hit a country like Serbia...

Atilla ,   istanbul   (04.23.12)
We have no problems with Kurdish citizens If your activists offer Turkey to help poor kurdish families we welcome you.on the other hand; no one is allowed to help muslims in Israel because of the fact that muslims being under the siege in Gaza.I don't understand how a civilised person accept to punish all people. This is unfair.

still talks about apology but its too late for that he should forget israel, apology and move on turkey doesnt need israel and vice versa both country should go their own way :)
38. @ #30
(04.23.12)
All Israel has to do is apologise and pay compensation. What if Turkey had done this on an Israeli ship going to Cyprus which was under siege, sorry a legal embargo
39. Turkey Says Israel Is Not Welcome to NATO Conference
ltrail ,   United States   (04.23.12)
Turkey has yet to receive official apology over Mavi Marmara raid. As a gentile, I'm glad that the State of Israel prevented the Mavi Marmara from entering Gaza; a segment of the State of Israel. No planes, .ships, or convoys should ever be allowed to trespass into the land soverign to a nation without permission. The Mavi Marmara was threatening to trespass into the land owned by the State of Israel. The continuing islamic-fed rhetoric of Turkey, reminds me that I no longer wish to even visit their nation. Turkey should also be evicted from NATO since it is not even a North Atlantic nation.
40. FORGET these Turkeys!
Israeli 2   (04.23.12)
41. Does this mean ??
Ken Evans ,   USA   (04.23.12)
Does Turkey think that Israeli soldiers who are being beaten to death by people with clubs and steel poles and knives cannot defend themselves ?? Anyone is entitled to protect their own life in International waters or anywhere.
42. In your dreams
faysal ,   belgium   (04.23.12)
Actually their prime minister is the one who hold his people back from retaliating. I was in turkey the day the killing happened and Turks would vote for a war if they were allowed a referendum.
43. Shame on you
faysal ,   Belgium   (04.23.12)
you have to shut up because greece voted against the creation of Israel so you dont represent real free greeks
44. Forget about Turkey and vacation in Greece
Silky ,   Silkeborg, Denmark   (04.23.12)
It's 10 times better and why would any Israeli give one shekel of their money to Turkey these days. It's always better for these regimes to blame Israel for everything, while dismissing attention on themselves. How arrogant can you get?
45. 10 Caglar Tesekurler
Helen ,   London, UK   (04.23.12)
Israel don't need Turkey or NATO, the fact is that the world needs Israel!! Shalom u Slaw ve Selam sana

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.23.12)
keep slapping and Israel may spank you again and give you something more to cry about you big babies.
47. # 38
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.23.12)
What if the world were flat....you might fall off. That statement is about as relevent as your post. Israel owes nobody an apology.
48. Israel has to apologize
Ryan ,   Ireland   (04.23.12)
There is no excuse for killing innocent civilians. The whole operation was pointless: they could have easily stopped the boat from entering Gaza without parachuting Rambo-style. This vile and outrageous act should be condemned worlwide: Turkey did the right thing.
49. Do Israel need NATO with its "moral"? NO!!!
Yoav ,   Germany   (04.23.12)
50. Turkey should be kicked out of NATO
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (04.23.12)
for sending terrorists aboard a ship that attacked Israeli commando's as they boarded the vessel. Edrogan is a pompous terrorist supporting fool.

52. nato !
ilfato73 ,   milano, Italy   (04.23.12)
Turkey is an islamic country, Israel an hebrew state....where 's the different? the religion fanatism is in Israele and in Turkey.
53. #38
EZ   (04.23.12)
Turkey's demands were: 1. apologize 2. pay compensation 3. lift the blockade. Israeli ministers clearly said that they would be willing to express regret and compensate families. But lifting the blockade is an unacceptable condition since Hamas and other groups in Gaza would use that to import larger weapons (missiles) to fire into Israel. But as #37 says - both sides should move on. Israel and the Islamist version of Turkey were on a collision course anyway. Erdogan just wanted to precipitate it.
54. # 19 We'll keep slapping
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (04.23.12)
Ahmet Turkey ! why use slapping ?.Turkey has a better method, called falaka, the prisoner is tied up,and beatten on his-her soles of the feet, till a confession is extracted, than is beatten even more as punishment for the confessed crime, turkey has no shame, sending an armada of terrorists against Israel, and now claims to be the victim,as long Turkey is a member of NATO,NATO has no value as the defender of Europe and the USA,turkey is part of the axis of evil,Iran,Turkey,Syria, one wheel of this axis is coming off, turkey joined the wrong bandwagon,Turkey didn't allow American planes to use it's air fields against Saddam Hussein,Turkey is not reliable.
55. Israel not welcome
David ,   Germany   (04.23.12)
Who gives a shit what the Turks think or say? Who are they to say who can come to Chicago? When the earth quake hit they were fast to accept Israeli help and quick to forget it! No character!
56. #19 - seems like you're the ones being slapped
William ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Slapped by the EU for your actions in the region, slapped by Intl bodies for your threats against Cyprus and Israel in the E. Mediterranean, slapped by the UN for your involvement in the illegal Mavi Marmara blockade-running trip, slapped for your circumventing of Iran-sanctions, slapped by the US for even believing that you have a right to dictate attendees. The truth is - Israel will continue to grow a strong relationship with Greece and Cyprus, on security AND energy exploration. The blockade around Gaza WILL continue and nothing Erdogan can do about it. And the final truth - Western powers do welcome Israel's role in the regional NATO and do admit to its powerful position. All you will succeed in doing is pissing off everyone you come in contact with - and you're doing a nice job of that already.
57. #22 - until NATO gets pissed off at Turkey for hubris
William ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Turkey can play a power card now but have no doubt, NATO is not happy about their unstable member who is mucking up the strategic plans of the group based on their own personal agenda. Turkey's actions also cancelled the invitation to several other countries as well.
58. #42 - who holds referendums on going to war?
William ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Since Erdogan built up the talk of war, one can hardly give him kudos for calming people down. If he was any type of PM, he should have avoided supporting the Mavi Marmara which was an indirect act of war against Israel, supported by the UN's decision after an investigation. No one gives a rat's ass about the Turk's feelings that day, when they sent a ship to attack Israelis and aid Gaza terrorists.
59. #43 - that was 64 years ago
William ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Today, Greeks are more supportive of Israel and Turks, who used to be our friends, are now run by racist Islamists who throw their support behind Islamic terrorists in Gaza who terrorize civilians on both sides. Funny how time changes things.
60. #48 - where are the "innocent civilians"?
William ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Surely not the ones carrying weapons and using guns against Israel soldiers on the Mavi Marmara. Those were the ones who were killed, and deemed "legitimate targets" by Intl Laws, and the UN. The difference between an innocent civilian and a combatant is how they handle themselves. The innocent civilians were either asleep below deck or one one of the other 5 boats - and none of them were harmed in any way. Coincidence? The world looked at the evidence and sided with Israel. Did you miss that part?
