I read your wonderful article today, and I am very happy that a very intelligent and well-informed person like you stands by our side, despite the enormous difficulties and animosity this surely must have brought upon you from your surroundings. You are always welcome in Israel, my brother! I salute you.

You people are the voice of reason, sanity and humanity in regimes which eschew and suppress such values. We Israelis are proud to have you as our friends, and celebrate our independence with us. And wish for you to spread the word onward. With more people like you, the future could be much brighter for the entire Middle East. Peace to you all!

This independence day in Israel is the 64th birthday of the modern day Jewish state an event that will see all Israelis celebrating this day with family gatherings, picnics, and trips to the beach. While the body politic of Israel celebrates their birthday, Israeli leaders, both politically and militarily, are preparing for the war threat given by the Islamic leaders to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Other world leaders recognized Israel's potential danger in a Middle East war, however, at the same time, they recognize that this was a miraculous event that took place when Israel became a state in 1948 after 2000 years of absence in the Biblical lands of their forefathers. The prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that this indeed would happen as revealed in Ezekiel 37 when the Lord promised that He would find the Jews scattered all across the earth, regather them into their land, and restore them as a nation. Ezekiel 34 is the record of 18 times when the Lord said that He would bring the Jews back into the Land that that God had promised them. In Ezekiel 36:22 the Lord states that He did this not for the sake of the Jewish people, but for His holy name sake. Also in Ezekiel 36, God promised the land to the Jewish people. However, Ezekiel 38 reveals that Israel will face an attack by the Islamic nations in an effort to destroy the Jewish state.
8. flyover in the south

its a great pity that eilat and the arava are not considered part of israel. for the residents of these areas there was no flyover...not 100 percent sure about eilat but the communities in the arava saw nothing. this is a growing trend..sometimes the weather report forgets to show eilat on tv. the residents of the arava communities live on a border.. and deserve to be treated to some sort of flyover...the country is so small ..what would it take... an extra ten minutes... the organisers of the countries independance ceremony should be fired from their jobs ..the government should be taken to task happy independace day to all israelis
