Sarah, I saw a very good interview on RT tonight, where a retired US general said that if Israel did a paranoid pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facillities, that nations would be lining up to sell Iran nuclear weapons to be used for a strike-back. You have acknowledged on here before that Iran is at least 18 months away from missiles capable of carrying or delivering a nuclear warhead. Therefore a pre-emptive strike by Israel or the USA would just bring you a whole world of pain. The total destruction of Israel by one or 2 "loaned" nukes would wipe out Israel and surrounding nations in part. Iran would still be there, and just start again. I guess you would continue to live in NYC....................

Islamic Iran and Turkey will never form an alliance with Israel. In fact Biblical prophecy outlines a vast invasion of coalition forces (Turkey and Iran included) against tiny Israel. Ganz first speach on wednesday sounded like the words of Panetta earlier this year when he was saying that Iran had not crossed the red line of making the decision to build a nuclear bomb. The implication was then that no action was necessary in spite of the continuing uranium enrichment , missile development & international terrorist activity. Ganz also followed in the steps of the former Mossad chief Meir Dagan who claimed Iranian leaders are "rational" meaning they will not do the unthinkable (although Dagan weakened his stand by qualifying Iran's leaders as "somewhat rational in their own way"). Now, in his second pronoucement Ganz is trying (probably on orders of his political superiors) to undo the political harm he has caused. What remains to be seen is wether or not this last talk will please the other countries (not named) which he said are ready to attack Iran.

That's an absurd scenario. Although judging from the way the United States conducted its wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Waziristan and Yemen, not at all surprising. None of the American general staff is particularly adept. Do you REALLY think that U.S. and Israeli satellites in fixed orbits over Iran might miss something like the transfer of an intercontinental ballistic missile? Do you REALLY think that Israel would not immediately launch against Iran? Trust me -- if Israel pulls out all the stops against Iran (keep in mind that nuclear physics is a distinctly Jewish invention, and we haven't lost the ability since coming to Israel). You -- the rest of the world -- and I have NO idea what types of weapons Israel can bring to bear against Iran, but I can imagine they'll be quite effective. Should war break out, I will be on the first plane to Israel. So I guess you're wrong, but it's not the first time, now, is it?

Either Bibi & Obama have already worked out a deal whereby after the election the US will carry out air strikes or Bibi will probably drag Obama into it kicking and screaming by Israel attacking Iran and when Iran retaliates Obama will have no choice but to pick up where Israel left iff.
