1. GOOD! No sense in haters benefiting from us!
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (04.29.12)
Screw the UK: they've always treated us like garbage. Why should they benefit from our hard work! Find another outlet: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, etc., etc. There are a ton of other places out there close by that would gladly buy these goods. Keep pushing it out there and something will bite, period! Chai Yisrael!
2. When will they boycott Turkey China&occupied Kurdistan?
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (04.29.12)
wonder what their real problem is?
3. Israel's own fault for not telling the world that they're...
NOT ILLEGAL   (04.29.12)
NOT ILLEGAL
4. Remember the chain's name and see it go broke in few years.
leo ,   usa   (04.29.12)
5. look in the mirror
Ilana Fine Bar-Hai   (04.29.12)
These people should look in the mirror once in a while. They will perhaps see how hypocritical they are. I hope Israel's supporters, who know the real truth, will boycott these chains.
6. Let Co-Op send Gaza truck loads of food
Roland Seener ,   London England   (04.29.12)
7. Spokesperson repeats Arab lies & propoganda
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (04.29.12)
The original mandate allowing close settlement applies. The Arabs insisted on no recognised borders and keep refusing to turn up to negotiate peace and borders. At best it is disputed territory but any Arab lie becomes fact for their useful idiots
8. pork
michael north ,   karmiel israel   (04.29.12)
Beware Co op-very soon all your muslim clients will be demanding the removal of pork products from your shelves amongst other non-halaal products.
9. Regardless I still love the UK! This is just OTT headline BS
Shimon ,   Kiryat G   (04.29.12)
10. Will they boycott energy Brits steal from Argentina?
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (04.29.12)
11. Good! Win - win for everyone!
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland, NZ   (04.29.12)
Co-OP upholds the principles, Tesco, Asda and Aldi get the customers.
12. BUY BLUE AND WHITE
Moshico ,   Maale Adumim   (04.29.12)
We can also Boycott!
13. UK is going down anyway
Rachel ,   US   (04.29.12)
14. Worse supermarket in UK Anyway
John Smith ,   UK   (04.29.12)
The Co Op is not one of the major supermarkets in Uk it certainly is not one of the 'big ones' and is more expensive than others. So no loss any way !!
15. Boycott Israel or Israelis is the New Antisemitism!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.29.12)
Its got nothing to do with Palestinians, Settlers or anything else. It is just the ingrained British hatred of Jews! Israel should ban the import of Palestinian goods like Humus and balaclava. I sincerely hope that Israel and Israeli companies will not be assisting the British in security for the Olympic Games. What goes around, comes around!
16. #3 NOT ILLEGAl: A qy
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.29.12)
17. I Hope Brit Jews BOYCOTT This Stinkin Store Chain!!!!
Ed Rapaport ,   USA   (04.29.12)
Jews with a conscience, that is, not Jews who support our enemies!
18. #3 NOT ILLEGAL: No quite correct.
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.29.12)
What is correct that you cannot tell people anything they don't want to hear. Being Pro-Palestinian and Anti-Israel is the new form of hatred against Jews and it is easier to swallow Arab propaganda than to listen to the Israeli side.
19. Boycott the supermarkets
Joan ,   New Zealand   (04.29.12)
Right on Peter SM - All New Zealanders and Aussies living in the UK who love Israel and Jewish people should definitely boycott these supermarkets and tell them why. Persuade their friends to do likewise.
20. To the BDS-Movement
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (04.29.12)
What would happen, if Israel stops completely human and medical help to Palestinians? And all technical and agricultural assistance to the palestinian authorities? I think Israel must completely stop every co-operation with the PA. The PA may ask the BDS for help.
21. :) Very Good!
jerusalem   (04.29.12)
good use of the practice: if you dont like their actions, dont buy their products. Hope more will follow!
22. The Co-Op
Adam ,   London   (04.29.12)
The Co-Op in the scheme of things is very small in the UK. Their whole banking and retail operation uses the whole "ethical" thing as a way to attract business. The type of people who use them are the type you would find complaining about the disputed territories or on flotillas wearing bright coloured jumpers they knitted themselves etc etc Nothing worth worrying about. Doubtful Sainsbury who a large portion of their stock is held by Arab hedge funds will do this
23. #2 has it right
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.29.12)
There are far worse human rights violators in the world, look at the Saudis and the Bahrainis.
24. And it will bulild
Horst ,   Ge   (04.29.12)
And build. The relentless focus on the Isreali occupation. Despite all Israels efforts to balme everything else the occupation and denial of rights is the issue. Israel delfigitimises itself 24/7
25. Good Move!
TZvika Benoni ,   Ein Hod   (04.29.12)
Finally. This is the first move that will make Israel retreat to the real israel. Enough of 500 thousand freaks harming the image and the position of my country abroad. We've been hostage of a band of lunatics that hardly contribute to anything. I hope the boycott can rapidly spread to Europe, the US, Latin America. Within the Green Line we have hi-tech companies that can easily surpass any deficits coming from agriculture. As in South Africa, this is the fundamental move that will force those chutzpah to come their senses.
26. They should boycott...
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (04.29.12)
They should boycott the oxygen from themselves...the wicked British.
27. #25 the hypocrite
(04.29.12)
You are from Ein Hod and you are a Leftist? Look up the history of your village.
28. Simply a marketing strategy,
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (04.29.12)
and a clear sign of the end of historic Great Britain. There is no ratio of any statistics as illegal immigration is sky rocketing in the UK, but I probably 50% of London's population is colour skinned foreigners. The majority of them are muslims. The muezzins in London's mosques are the best marketing agents for anti israel firms. They want to make money with this immoral act, hopeing that muslim consumers will buy in their shops.
29. ...ever since the Farhud...
Even Balance ,   Beit Yehoshua   (04.29.12)
Ever since the Farhud slaughter of hundreds of Iraqi Jews in Baghdad where the British stood-by and watched the Jews being hacked to pieces, it has been painfully clear what their position is on Israel and Jews. My own (Jewish) father fought with the British against the Germans in North Africa by the way, with the Desert Rats - and while he was doing so, the British were standing by watching the slaughter. In Hebron during the British Mandate, the Palestinians wiped-out a Jewish community with roots going back to the bible while the British stood by and watched. (1929 - Hebron Massacre). What is it you call a Jew in what you think should be 'Jew-free' palestinian territory? Ah yes! A 'Settler'. ...just as the British must also be 'settlers' in the UK by the same yardstick, presumably?
30. De facto an arab boycott, supported by
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (04.29.12)
the OECD country UK. The BDS-movement is a british NGO. Its members are mainly muslims living in the UK and supporters of islam. Is this according to regulations of the OECD?
