let me get this straight, they are boycotting the ONLY democracy in the Middle East that happens to be in a territorial dispute with a non-Nation State called "palestine", BUT they have no qualms about buying produce from Morocco, China, Russia, Indonesia, Armenia, Turkey, France, Pakistan, India, and Spain - ALL of which are in dispute or outright occupy disputed territory. As someone who travels to the UK a couple of times a year on a recreational, non-business basis, I am pleased to be able to begin my personal boycott. No Stilton. I will pass on the new tweed coat I was going to have made. No single Malt. No hotel or theater and dinner expenses. No British air carrier either. My usual approximate optional disposable expenses in the UK is roughly between $15-25K. I am sure I can convience my close and extended family not to purchase things made or services produced in the UK. Yimr for another trip to Israel. Maybe two or three.

Israeli firms should forge new relationships with Chinese, Korean and other Asian customers where Israel and the Jewish people are admired and respected and consequently Israeli goods have a certain catchet. This same hypocritical, sanctimonious supermarket sees fit to sell figs from Turkey in spite of that countrys brutal repression of the kurds which far supasses anything Israel has been accused of not forgetting to mention numerous other human rights abuses taking place in turkey such as the torture and persecution of journalists. Turkey is just one of a long list of countries with terrible human rights records whose goods are welcome in the co-op. I won't be buying any further goods from my local co-op which benefits from my custom to the tune of hundreds of pounds a year and hope all uk Jews and supporters of Israel will do likewise since the value of the contracts affected is fairly modest and a counter boycott of the co-op has the potential to lead to losses far in excess of the value of the contracts at stake. All european companies that take part in the anti-semitic delegitimisation campaign against israel should be boycotted and denied entry into the Israeli market.
