1. misleading headline, thats got nothing against Israel flag
hadad ,   u.k   (04.30.12)
2. Bored haters
Sane ,   England   (04.30.12)
Wow, the Charedi-Haters must be really bored if they are now trawling through children's magazines in the hope of finding something to attack the Charedim with.
3. Yeah. Sure. And maybe there's a far simpler reason...
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (04.30.12)
Maybe they gave a lot of detail to flags from other countries because those aren't the flags they see on a regular basis? Oh, and just for the record, Bakehila is a weekly magazine - it's meant for Friday/Saturday, and Independence Day was on Thursday. Amazing. So now Haredi bashing has been reduced to digging through children's articles. And I also note the article carefully omits a writer, so I assume this was a group effort of some sort? Or written by an editor? Journalism can be better than this.
4. Anything for a story eh?
Henry from New York ,   USA   (04.30.12)
I'm waiting for the day that Israel starts having journalistic standards.
5. The flag of Israel should be changed to a MENORA, which is
Rivkah   (04.30.12)
HaShem's symbol for the Jews and HIs people when they came out of Egypt. The book "The Six Pointed Star: Its Origin and Useage" by Dr. O.J. Graham tells of the pagan origin of that star which is condemned in Scriptures as the star of Remphan and the star of Mollech and the star of Ashtoreth.
6. Religious Freedom
Dr Harry ,   Jerusalem   (04.30.12)
Regev, who the hell are you to say that the exclusion of the Flag is dishonoring.....If Israel is a democratic country, then as a citizen I have that freedom to choose what I FEEL, as you do with your FEEL good religion. You won't tell me when to stand or sit. WE, Jews honor our fallen, several times a year in our Yiskor Service. This has nothing to do with CORE EDUCATIONAL Program. And what is the REAL STORY behind this State????? I will not continue, because Ynet will probably reject this Talkback anyways. People are no longer falling for all the garbage articles of Hatred, that are on the Internet.
7. All haredim writing here..
Avi ,   Belgium   (04.30.12)
You fail to realise why having a goverment is important! aside from the fact that you have to be proud about it!
8. 'promotes religious freedom'?
Joseph ,   London UK   (04.30.12)
If he promotes religious freedom, that includes the freedom not to talk about the Israeli flag. 'The real story behind the foundation of the state and its symbols' -- I suspect these facts are well kown in Haredi circles. The problem is that the early secular Zionists were anti-religious and thereby alienated many Haredim.
9. #5 - Check the Seal of Israel.
Henry from New York ,   USA   (04.30.12)
Looks suspiciously like the Temple Menorah as depicted on the Arch of Titus.
10. Stop quoting "Rabbi" Uri Regev and Hiddush
Ephraim ,   Tapuah   (04.30.12)
It's like ynet found their nice puppet "rabbi" to support their anti-religious agenda. Yediot Achronot is against devoted religion, and they scrambled to find a rabbi who supports their ideology, no matter who. Hiddush is an irrelevent organization, and "rabbi" uri regev doesn't speak for anyone. Take some journalistic integrity for once, and stop pushing lowlife nobodies just because they support your agenda
11. The early zionists had strong traditional values and not
Nehama ,   Jerusalem   (04.30.12)
All my ancestors were pioneers and very traditional. The Haredim I feel have more of a problem with idea of land being settled by our own will and not a prophet. I disagree that early zionists shunned religious values. They were practical and realized you can't wait for messiah to solve your problems. Jews need to rely on themselves as we are a hated people. In his time Herzl was beloved by modern orthodox- Mizrahi movement and seculars and respected as great leader. It's do depressing to read how Haredim dont honor the flag. I have noticed haredi Sephardim Are very Zionist and it is more of an Ashkenazi haredi issue.
12. the haredim hate israel
Ze'ev ,   Nbg, germany   (05.01.12)
thats not really new. They grab every possible shekel from the state, but dont wag a finger for israel...*SHAME*
13. If Israel's supreme court justices don't respect the flag...
Ilan   (05.01.12)
Then it's ok for anyone else as well
14. Brain washed children
Haim ,   TA   (05.01.12)
One wonders what they teach them? How to dodge the draft How to live off social security and have 12 kids at the tax payers exspense ?
15. What you are paying for, so enjoy
Mea   (05.02.12)
It is preposterous. One sector financed and coddled as they betray those who go to war on their behalf, those whose toil places a roof over their family. It is a incomprehensible situation because everybody knows devotion has nothing to do with work and the prayers of Ll men rise equally. That tens of thousands of grown men do not work for their bread is dispicable. That the country allows it is just puzzling.
16. Poor YNet - patologically hating haredim, settlers........
YNet lover   (05.02.12)
YNet is pathologically fighting everything which is not on their ( left ) side. YNet is a typical example for media misused for propaganda. Who is YNet's master / checkpayer ? US / EU governments ? One thing is for sure - proper Journalism is something else than the YNet hate propaganda.....
