1. So its a problem for ...............
Poly Acrylate ,   Israel.   (05.01.12)
Dalia Yitzik , she will again need to cling onto somebody new, not for nothing she is known as super glue.
2. # 1
Butyl Ester ,   Israel   (05.01.12)
Well, following Israeli tradition she could always run for president.
3. The impact of 28 Kadima MKs
Wade ,   NYC USA   (05.01.12)
Kadima MKs are looking to return to the Kenesset in the next elections. The public has a right to ask, "What did each of you contribute to Israel during your public financed employment?" Whoever was just a name on the list and made no impact on the legislative agenda does not deserve re-election. Even Livni, who tried to be an opposition leader, did not make a favorable impression on many.
4. Kadima was born by splitting, will go on splitting!
Jouko ,   Finland   (05.01.12)
5. Livni
Yaron ,   TA   (05.01.12)
This person is a good examples for the type of politician we do not like to see in the Knesseth. Selfish and just interested in what is good for her and not what is good for our country. Not that she is the only one but the one that is the most arrogant around.
6. GOOD,let them split themselves into oblivion
chaim.s 54st ,   brooklyn ny   (05.01.12)
7. Likud & Jewish Israel
Mike ,   Israel   (05.01.12)
The only ruling party is Likud and the growing pride in our Zionist identity within the Likud thanks to Feiglin. Labor Kadima and Lapid's party are losing their ever decreasing electoral base and recruiting Arab voters gradually. In the next ten years or so we will see a cohesion of the parties who identify themselves as Jewish such as Likud NU Jewish Home and Yisrael Beitenu and the dilution of the leftist camp of Labor Kadima and Lapid. The future belongs to the Jewish majority who is becoming increasingly proud of its past and culture. The presense and likely success of Am Shalem party, who advocates army service and jobs for Haredim, will weaken the Galuti-mentality of Shas and UTJ and consequently weaken one of the major banners of the leftist camp which is hyping up the Haredi question. We are on an express line toward one Jewish state solution.
8. "We want to survive" = self-interest
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.01.12)
Well, at least they admit they're motivated by self-interest. A shift to district based voting will at least make each MK accountable, and not dependent on coat-tails. But that won't happen any time soon because it's all about self-interest.
9. Dumb & Dumber
Dr Harry ,   Jerusalem   (05.01.12)
Those MK's should be shown the door. Like little children. If Livni with 28 seats could not form a government, if Livni in the opposition did nothing but cry like a baby, what do you expect her to do with a small party???????? Those MK's should follow her bold move & retire too. Enough spending our very hard earned Shekels to go to continuous waste. ENOUGH!!!!!
10. Old party,new party,....
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.01.12)
...still the same Tzipi Livni. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
11. livni
sue ,   jerusalem   (05.01.12)
the woman is a failure. the woman is good for nothing. what kind of "new" party will she create???? members of kadima are only interested in their chairs and not in the country. can anyone tell me 3 things that this woman has done as minister of justice, minister of foreign affairs and as head of the opposition???? nothing, nothing, nothing. she's good for nothing.
12. all these parties are bad for democracy & cost money
zionist forever   (05.01.12)
There are currently 12 parties with Knesset seats and only 120 seats so and all but three of those parties are single issue ones that exist solely to join to sell their votes to any government that's willing to pay their price. The more parties there are the thinner the vote is spread and more power in the hands of single issue parties. Kadima is currently the largest party and with 28 seats have less than a quarter of the national vote. It also costs the taxpayers millions of dollars because everytime the coalition partners have a falling out because one party is not getting everything their own way they pull out the coalition and forcing the government to hold an expensive general election. After the election all the same parties join the new coalition with the same demands they had before. We need to change the system so we have real democracy not a form of democracy that exists to benefit the political elite and if Livni has any sense of self respect she will put her ego aside and get out of politics if she wants to leave Kadima because her ego was bruised.
13. "We want 2 survive". Good reason 2 B in Politics!
Ezra ,   US-IL   (05.01.12)
Speaks volumes about the KADIMA party: a bunch of self-serving children with NO VISION or track record. I hope the entire party gets wiled out in the next elections. Theyve wasted Israels time and money. Good riddance.
14. I hope
Sagi   (05.01.12)
this spells the end for Kadima.
15. Suggestion
Raptor   (05.01.12)
Could we please have a party for every citizen. 7 million parties, that's really no big deal, we can handle that. It really would make everybody happy.
16. Livni to Kadima
Ahron ,   Holon, Israel   (05.01.12)
"We must protect our phony-balony jobs gentlement!" - Tzipi Livni
17. And it will be called,.....
Gideon Reader   (05.01.12)
...Pizzenmoane, or barring that,...Kvetch. The theme will be er, whatever kadima was, but never got around to. Well, I personally know in my heart that somewhere, someplace, someone is doing a Livni in the bunker, cum Downfall thing for Blue Toob. Hmmm. Maybe Olmert, Ivri and Putz Peretz are free. (Well in Olmerts cane; NOT free) but you get the idea.
18. Dumb and dumber.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.01.12)
Livni is dumb. Her political moves, both in Likud and Kadima made no sense whatsoever and cost Israel enormously in terms of lives lost, civilians injured and financially. Those Kadima MKs who think they can save their political careers by following Livni, to a new party, are even dumber.
19. A funeral will be more appropriate!!!
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.01.12)
Oh my! You must be in a party to "survive" politically so, just make up yet another one. The more, the merrier. These people are already politically dead. They just refused to be buried. A funeral will be so much more appropriate.
20. 7
zionist forever   (05.01.12)
I don't see this problem of to many parties ending anytime soon, if anything its just going to get worse because when politicians can't get what they want from the mainstream parties. Right now the single issue parties control 52 out of 120 Knesset seats and with Yair Lapid if he gets the expected 10-11 seats mostly taken from Kadima then for the first time there will be more seats in the hands of single issue parties. With a system like this its debatable if Israel is even a democracy because parties promise one thing before the election but by the time all the backroom deals are done to form a coalition the government policies are nothing like what we were promised before the election. Even the MKS are not directly elected and are appointed via a party list and I imagine 90% of them wouldn't even be in the Knesset if they the politicians were elected directly based on their merits. Its a system that exists to serve the would be politicians and not the voters.
21. Jump from one sinking boat unto another... Hilarious!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (05.01.12)
22. Livni may form a new Party! What a joke
Spencer ,   Israel   (05.02.12)
Typical Kadima "members". Only out fo keep their seats no matter what. Livni proved she was useless and even proved it to herself. That's why she resigned. There is only one party to lead Israel and that's the Likud. They care about the State of Israel first and foremost. The are Zionists, not anti religious, and despite what the leftists would have us believe, the Likud are good for the not so well off section of the people. Kadima was a flash in the pan. They are finished. As for Lapid, he may steal a few seats from Labour and Kadima but that will only strengthen the Likud and hopefully one day they willbe able to have a majority without having to form a coalition.
23. Israel needs more Tzipi Livnis
I Love Israel ,   The world   (05.02.12)
Unfortunately we are such a self destructive bunch that the majority will opt for spineless twits like Nethanyahu and slobs like Lieberman. Wel done for making a stand Tzipi!
24. Livni - political party
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (05.02.12)
Livni should have all women in her party - if her plans are to start up a new political party. She should call it "Girl Power"
