No; if Israel was spying, they were spying on Turkey, a member of NATO, not on NATO itself. There IS a difference. Also; Turkey supported the attempted breaking of a legal blockade put in place by its [former] ally. It's Turkey which cannot be trusted. But as you are willfully blind, I don't expect you to see the facts, only what you want the facts to be.

One of the main reasons Israel has won all its wars, especially the Six Day War, was intelligence. One does not know what can be learned from listening in, but its well worth the effort. I prefer not to get too complacent, given all that can happen in war.
34. #2 - history repeats itself - idiots show up out of woodwork

and in SF, CA, HQ of Nancy Pelosi, there really is no shortage of them.

Nothing in the article indicated it was on NATO operations, just Turkish pilots-in-training, and an unsubstantiated report at that. Turkey has aligned itself with Iran, which has announced itself as an enemy of the West (which is all NATO is made up of) and has announced it would not honor UN sanctions on Iran. If anyone needs to be herded out of NATO, it's Turkey - until it's usefulness is done.

Oh, I agree entirely. I remain unconvinced that the story is true, because I am quite confident that Israel can listen in on radio communications anywhere in the Middle East without anyone knowing. But Turkish training flights? Not likely, and not all that necessary because of Israel's fixed-orbit satellites.
37. Turkey is screwed
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (05.03.12)
she's slowly circling the rim of the toilet as she's about to be flushed down the toilet. Erdogen is an islamic pig with anti semitism that is killing him. When he dies that day will be a holiday.

Training flights have to do with tactics, not 'just' how to fly the airplane. And I am not sure if satellites can listen in on communications between fast moving airplanes.
39. Misinformation at its peak
Ibrahim ,   Turkey   (05.07.12)
All Turkish Air Force fighter planes have NATO Standard (STANAG 4175) encrypted communications systems and Link 16 datalinks. This is public knowledge. Statements such as these are directed at the lay man and misinformation used for provocation.
