1. Elections on 4 September. Why disolve the Knesset now?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.06.12)
The answer is easy. The Haredim want to postpone any new law on their obligation to serve the country! Take they will. Give something to the country that protects them from being murdered by the Arabs? You must be joking!
2. Kenesset elections
Joel ,   Scarsdale, NY   (05.06.12)
#1 I understand now why Israel was created; to protect people from Arabs that want to murder them. Hey , we're giving you protection! It doesn't penetrate the thick helmet you wear, no doubt because you're brave, that if you defeated your enemy you would have no reason to have a mandatory draft. Try living as proud Jews and not looking back at America for permission every half a second like a dog on a leash. How about imitating the good things America has like a Congress that is held accountable to its districts and its constituency. You have a "democratically" elected dictatorship that is not answerable to anybody. Dissolving the Kenesset, what a joke!
3. jf he gets his way it will be a disaster for yair lapid
zionist forever   (05.06.12)
Yair Lapid has no real policy and the Tal Law was one of his main ones but if we enter the election with the issue resolved then poor old Lapid is going to find he has lost one of his most valuable playing cards and it will cost him seats. Whilst I do think its an issue that should be resolved quickly Liberman is rushing things because before we start trying to draft thousands of haredi we need a form of civilian national service. The army its not the ideal environment for many haredi and the IDF itself doesn't want to be flooded with haredi overnight. If we are going to force the haredi to start serving then we need to start making laws to get the arabs doing civilian national service and doing something about the Tel Aviv draft dodgers.
