1. Don't go
Steve Bronfman ,   Vancouver, Canada   (05.27.12)
Survey data consistently shows that the Spanish are the biggest Jew haters in Europe (and that's saying something). They are also the most hostile European country to Israel (again that's quite a challenge to come first in). I went to the museum in Barcelona and the only mention of Jews is one paragraph stating something like "Jews moved away" not taking responsibly for licking out all Jews (or converting the ) including my grandmothers ancestors. Boycott Spain, go to Czech or another country we're welcome!
2. Oh the irony!

Persecutions, massacres, inquisitions, forced conversion, expulsions, present day rabid anti-Semitism – yes indeed, Spain has much to offer to Jewish and Israeli tourists. So, when your economy is failing what do you do but try to get the Jews to come visiting, maybe investing, maybe reviving the once Golden Age when commerce, art and science was flourishing – and you think that restoring a few desecrated synagogues will do the trick?
3. eying the Jews?
tiki ,   belgium   (05.27.12)
They still don't like the Jews (as all the polls show), but they sure do love "them rich Jew's money". What a little "bungling over the bancrupty slope" can accomplish!
4. #1 Everything u wrote is correct.Go to see PRAGUE as u say

Spanish government has changed, and Popular´s Party (PP) is now in the government; they are pro-israelis(Jose Maria Aznar, president´s party, has advocated Israel to join NATO and called for NATO military strike against Hizbullah in Lebanon). You will fell like in your home with the new elected spanish government. Spain has changed, and spanish people are now embracing the jewish people more and more.
6. Aznar is amazing I'll give you that
Steve bronfman ,   Vancouver, canada   (05.28.12)
Jose Aznar is legendary you're right and 20% of spaniards are of Jewish ethnicity and Spain also is plagued by Jihadi terror but I can't ignore their track record I'm general. The last guy with the jewish surname, zapatero, was a total dhimmi though
7. Spanish are very Antisemitic
Sami ,   New York, USA   (05.27.12)
Spanish are very Antisemitic and pro Arab though they occupy Ceuta and Melilla in Morocco.

The rain in Spain falls only on the plain. I think she's got it.!!!!!!! La espanola cuando besa es que besa de verdad.
9. Spainish people dont like ISrael
David ,   USA   (05.28.12)
According to all polls the last 10 yrs. Majority of Spainards do not like Israel or Jews for that matter. Besides the nation of Spain is bankrupted and is desperate to bring in any revenues they can. I would not go.
10. Jewless
galilean ,   Israel   (05.28.12)
I wonder if the Spaniards realize that the reason their country is the least developed in western Europe is because it destroyed it's Jewish community 500 years ago.
11.  Spanish Jew Haters
Howard ,   Seattle USA   (05.27.12)
Why would any Jew in their right mind want to vistit a country that hates you and is very pro Arab?

I've visited many many European countries, and they are all light years behind Israel, in just about every aspect. Building is going on all over Israel at an amazing pace; just for example, the cities and towns in Ireland, looked like something out of a 1940s movie; shops and businesses boarded up, people looked down and out, and just the goods that were available all over, looked pitiful next to Israeli shops and malls, and were outrageously priced. In Israel you get a feeling of progress, hi tech, moving forward, the good life..... I don't feel this in any European country.
