31. Force Feeding Machines
Reuven   (05.09.12)
They are very unpleasant for the feedees, but they work!
32. ICRC contradicts itself and its own principles...
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.09.12)
"Their choice must be respected and their human dignity preserved". If the Israel Prison System is to respect the wishes and preserve the human dignity of the hunger-strikers, then the IPS must allow them to die. After all, the choice to initiate a hunger strike was theirs, its continuation to the point where the hunger-strikers lives are endangered was also their choice. Choices have consequences. The hunger strikers and their families will have to learn to live with the choices they make. Should the IPS decide to force feed the strikers, their human dignity goes right out the window, as anyone who has seen a forced feeding knows... Tell the ICRC to go back to tend to its knitting.
33. Blame the hunger strike organizers
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.09.12)
Flotilla, marching to Israel's borders, flytilla and now hunger strikes. Yet another failed gimmick. Those big bad Israelis. How could they be so cruel and not allow Palestinian prisoners bi-annual photo ops with their families and the opportunity to get a college degree while in prison?
34. Welcome to the tribe, Eaglebeak!

Pull up a chair, have a little nosh.

And then you may expect to see Israel castigated pillar to post for depriving the hunger strikers of their absolute right to starve themselves to death. May as well just let them die. No great loss, and their free will remains intact right up to the end.
36. Hey, you had a bit of luck there, Eaglebeak
Cameron ,   USA   (05.11.12)
You got a pat on the back instead of the usual rant about assimilation and yet another "lost Jew". Circumcision & aliyah looming?
