Authentic Christians do not strive for other alliances than for the one with the Son of God. You would never be betrayed by a true Christian but likewise s/he would never feel the need for any alliance with another force. So it is a sign for complete ignorance when the German journalist Reinhard Baumgarten "explains" to his audience in his TV show "Faces of Islam" that Christianity and Islam have so much in common, having not the faintest idea of the Christian core belief and that the role of Jesus Christ in Islam is the complete denial of this Christian credo. .(German citizens have to pay for those discretionary TV productions through GEZ dues, a totalitarian compulsatory event) It is so awkward to see Baumgarten try to hammer his alliance between Islam and "Christians".
