1. How is Nasrallah licking his own wounds?
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (05.14.12)
Is his brown tongue long enough, or is somebody else licking his behind? Perhaps Ahmaarschloch himself?
2. The name of the country is Lebanon not
Dyslexic.... ,   Israel...   (05.14.12)
Hezbollah. It is the Lebanese Government who is responsible for what happens in the country not those lunatics.Hezbollah starts a war against Israel,Israel will blow Lebanon up and that would be a pity.
3. What challenge?
Rob ,   Orangevale, U.S.A.   (05.14.12)
Can you say 'Dresden', can you say Nagasaki,' can you say 'shock and awe' ? There would be no problem if you were serious about 'WINNING', let the chips fall where they may in the aftermath. Civilian escape corridor, 12 hours to get out from there, and the rest can test out martyrdom, and get back to us. Hopefully there will be no Tehran left to deal with, because if they get their chance, there will be no Israel left. Shalom Israel, Rob Rob
4. They must attack
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (05.14.12)
Nasrallah is not stupid, he knows that the real war is Sunni attacking Shia. Before Putin intervened and it looked like Obama's "rebels" were going to defeat Assad, the Sunni were already threatening Hezbollah. If Iran is attacked (by Israel, the US or Sunnis), Hezbolla will attack Israel. They will want to create the image that the American sponsored Sunni-dictatorships are fighting for Israel. If they are lucky, this image will lead to an upheaval in Turkey, Egypt and of course Saudi Arabia, an upheaval that will be a strategic victory for Iran.
5. ermm what challenge???
Yisraeli   (05.14.12)
what are you talking about challenge?, so there are civilians in the same building. Do you think they dont know whats going on in theyre own building. Its for them to run like hell not Israel stupidly trying to pin point their armaments. Flatten the building from whence any missile is fired! Period. Let the enemy know we wont play into their games anymore. War is War and in every war there is civilian casualties. Only difference between us and the enemy is we dont target civilians whereas they do.
6. By living in a building with rockets and military, they are
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.14.12)
"civilians" but participants. Maybe they are getting free rent to be cannon fodder, and they pay the price.
7. #3 Rob! Do u think usa would have a
gali vashdi ,   israel not palastine   (05.14.12)
leg to stand on without us here in Israel? no i didnt think so, you go back to your coffee and slice of noidea and leave the IDF to it cos we out here ain't worried! shalom dude
8. The war legality rules are on Israel's side.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (05.14.12)
Attacking from civilian populations is not an immunity. And the notion of disproportionate response cannot apply when it comes to Hezbullah, Syria or Iran - they have made their intentions crystal clear, which must be measured against any charges on Israel.
9. Not all Lebanese are Hezbollah
Mo ,   Canada   (05.14.12)
There are many of us Lebanese against Hezbollah the problem is the ones. That are against them are fighting with pen and paper and peace not weapons
10. Declaration of war
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.14.12)
If Hezbollah (part of Lebanon's government) attacks Israel upon orders from their puppet masters in Iran, it amounts to a declaration of war against Israel by Iran. If Hezbollah fires missiles at Israel, that amounts to a declaration of war against Israel by Lebanon. I question the wisdom of such a move, but you cannot protect people from themselves.
11. Just one more info...
Paolo S. ,   Israel   (05.14.12)
“In the villages there are three-story houses: on one floor there are rockets, then there is a family on the next floor, then a (military) headquarters then another family”. And this order changes continuously, even on the same building, from time to time. The matter? Using human shields is a good tactic, for 2 simple reasons: 1) You are able to gain time in the case of an attack. 2) If something goes wrong (the civilian are killed), then you will have one more way to spread your indecent propaganda.
12. So in other words, the next time around it will only
8th generation Sabra   (05.14.12)
take 34 hours to send Lebanon back to the primordial ooze from whence it crawled. Perfect!
13. Labanon is not Canada
Rob ,   Orangevale, U.S.A.   (05.14.12)
It is a joke to hear you espouse the great Lebanese from Canada. Why are you not in Beirut, telling the masse the same thing? Oh Yeah, it's because you would go 'missing' the same day. It must be very hard to yell all the way across the oceans and think somebody hears you, only to receive derision on the return waves. Shalom Lebanese Canada dude. Oy. Rob
14. lesson of 2006 already forgotten ???
inconito   (05.14.12)
well, let's see merkava burn again on the fields. these images of "supposed" Israeli soldiers weeping as 12 years women will repeat again! lol
15. Who won in 2006??
Sammy ,   NY   (05.14.12)
It was clear that Israel did NOT win... it's quite likely another war could lead to more humiliation as well!
16. but then there’s the consolation
Stephen in New York   (05.14.12)
Next war will be nasty, but then there’s the consolation that Hezbollah will be defeated in detail. Eradicated.
17. 9- Those tools are insufficient
Stephen in New York   (05.14.12)
to deal with Hezbollah. Hezbollah is doing its utmost to help Assad continue his butchery. Perhaps that displeases the West. The Russians applaud Hez effort. KGB all the way.
18. #15 - OK, Which Side's Leader Hides In A Bunker Like A Rat?
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (05.14.12)
19. nasrallah
spookey ,   birmingham uk   (05.14.12)
i see they have wheeled the glockenspeial out of the cave again , he only comes out at certain times , i think the cave is in a place called la la land he needs to be in a old folks home
20. Sammy #15
David ,   Israel   (05.14.12)
Israel did win militarily, they would have destroyed Hezbollah had it not been for External political pressure by the UN to create a ceasefire. The war in 2006 had something like 5 Hezbollah to 1 IDF loss, probably more. Don't believe the rubbish you hear of Israel losing, perhaps they won the propaganda game. it's the reason why we haven't heard a peep from Hezbollah since 2006
21. Rockets,civlians,terrorists,civilians
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.14.12)
Lebanon is feasting on a very poisonous sandwich, prepared by the mulla haminei, the chef.
22. Geneva Conv.allows targeting structures with military inside
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (05.14.12)
Israel has the full force of international on its side in destroying without warning any building that has military installations inside, regardless of civilian "human shield" casualties this causes. The war crime is in arabs placing military behind civilian shields, not in killing civilians intermingled with military. Israel must place Israeli welfare first, not Lebanese "civilians" who are helping Hezbollah hide. Obliterate the Cana missile bases first, and worry about the opinions of bigoted Euro-snots latter, they don't care when Israeli civilians are bombed anyway. Goal in a future Hezb war should be to 100% obliterate their capabilities in the first Six Days of the war - a proven winning formula. Attacks on Israeli civilians should be met in kind - 7-fold retaliation. Hezb use of lethal gas weapons from Syria should be met with immediate nuking of every major city in Lebanon and Syria, and the world must be told in advance that that is exactly what will happen, no talks, no deals - that is how deterence works.
23. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.14.12)
What Merkavas? Stupido, any Israeli response to an attack from Lebanon will be fought from the air or from the sea, against which Lebanon has no defenses. We'll crush Lebanon in no time at all. I wouldn't count too much on an Israeli effort to minimize civilian casualties. Hezbollah are the war criminals here -- using human shields and deliberately caching weapons in residential dwellings (thereby turning them into legitimate military targets). You do realize that Lebanon will cease to exist and Israel will have a brand new northern border, don't you? They've had it coming for quite a while. LOL!
24. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.14.12)
It was clear that Israel did prevail, which is why Nasrallah lives in a bunker thirty feet underground and soils his skirt each time some over-eager terrorist fires a missile into Israel from Lebanon. If Hezbollah (and, by extension, Lebanon) gets stupid, Lebanon will cease to exist. You do realize this, don't you? You should.
25. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.14.12)
Well, internal Lebanese politics isn't really Israel's problem, is it? You let them into your government and gave them safe haven; now you have to suffer the consequences of that rather foolish decision. One missile fired from Lebanon into Israel means the end of Lebanon. You do realize that, I hope.
26. #22 is all Israel's military outside?
observer ,   Egypt   (05.14.12)
27. THE SECOND IN THE SERIES............
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.14.12)
Just before the resumption of talks in Baghdad. As I had predicted yesterday, some more unfounded statements from known sources should indeed follow upto the time they reconvene in Baghdad.
28. TO # 25 hezbollah will decimate your merkava
inconito   (05.14.12)
Lebanese are pride, your threats do not make sleep difficult. after the first victory, the liberation of couth lebanon , Hizbullah defeated israel in 2006. in the next war Hizbullah and Syrian forces will liberate a first part of the occupied Palestine. the first part of this plan is to start by decimating merkava!
29. what a little phisser!
(05.14.12)
30. To: No. 28
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.15.12)
No Merkavas, stupido. Missile fired from submarines and aerial bombardment that will reduce South Lebanon to a heap of rubble.
