1. Of course, their promises ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.14.12)
.... are worthless. Odds are they will use the family visits to arrange terror attacks.
2. Well done Hamas !
Gabe ,   Canada   (05.14.12)
This Government will give you anything you wish for. You only have to protest a little. Faking a hunger strike works the best. There is no reason to stop now.
3. Is there anyone in the government, I.D.F.,
jason white ,   afula, israel   (05.14.12)
or other security services with guts? Or are they all a bunch of PC cowards! We should have made the lives of the palis in prison 100X worse than now. Let them starve to death and never notify their families. Let each day of the hunger strike add another year to each sentence of each prisoner. Why do we need an enemy country like egypt to broker a deal? Do we tell them how to run their prisons and how to treat their prisoners. The government, I.D.F. and g.s.s. only knows how to act tough against peaceful Jews. The sooner we have new elections and clean out the PC cowards, the better it will be for Israel.
4. Kicking the can down the road
Stephen in New York   (05.14.12)
Sarah, no doubt that you’re observation is correct. Perhaps it was simply convenient to kick the can down the road. Since there are other issues on the agenda and dying hunger strikers might distract. (Sorry to offend leftists with my cold, cold thoughts.)
5. Thank G.
BK ,   USr   (05.14.12)
I hear Obama is sending two dozen pizzas--sei gesund.
6. Promises from the terrorists.
Lila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.14.12)
Hahahahahahahaha.
7. An Israeli "nakhba"!
Mara ,   Vienna   (05.14.12)
What a incapable and incompetent government Israel has got, small wonder it is not respected in the Middle East. Now Hamas will make a firework and send some over to Israel so that the Israelis can join into their joy! Israelis should better look for a nice place in Galut since Israel is lost! Even Ireland will be a bettr place compared to what Israel might face from now on!
8. What!? You let that trash play you for a victory?
Cameron ,   USA   (05.14.12)
9. Malone the Untouchable: "What are you prepared to do?"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.14.12)
In the movie "The Untouchables", beat cop Malone (played by Connery) knew what needed to be done to beat Capone. As he lay dying, Malone asks the good-hearted Ness, "What ... are you ... prepared ... to do?" before expiring. Malone would have known what needed to be done to defeat the hunger strikers: stand firm and not give an inch. Netanyahu may fancy himself a modern day Churchill, but he falls short. Thatcher knew how to handle hunger strikers. As to the head of the IPS, well, if a Malone were in charge, Israel wouldn't be handing the enemy yet another victory.
10. Dagan&Diskin silent on that, instead'll try to defend Iran

11. #8 Cameron, I hope you're not referring to...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (05.14.12)
dear President Obama.
12. The belly dancers are forgotten, from the agreement.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (05.14.12)
13. Israel gives in to the terrorists demand!
Spencer ,   Israel   (05.14.12)
It's a damn shame that Israel gave in to these terrorists' demands. None of the prisoners are "good little boys" . They are all rotten to the core. Why should they have any privileges. They chose to go on this hunger strike. The ball is in their court. If they choose to die then let them. Without them the world will be a better place.
14. palistinian prisoners
Yoel ,   Ossining,NY   (05.14.12)
Israel feared international condemnation if a prisoner died. So what else is new? But another message would have been sent to the terrorists. "Don't mess with us>"
15. The international community would condemn Israel
Frank ,   USA   (05.14.12)
regardless what Israel does or does not do. Who cares about it? Let the terrorist die and join their virgins in hell.
16. arab Prisoner Lie
emanon ,   USA   (05.14.12)
They will not stop the violence. I predict, at the very least, more missiles launched into Israel from Gaza within 24 hours. If not missiles, some other form of violence against Israelis within 12 hours.
17. Big surprise! In the end, Bibi ALWAYS concedes.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.14.12)
Big surprise! Bibi conceded to terrorists once again. Watching Bibi is like watching an old romance movie. From the first moment, you know how it will end. In the end, Bibi ALWAYS concedes. He is pathetic. Both Likud and Israel must have better.
18. What?
Beary White ,   Norway   (05.15.12)
Why let terrorists make demands and give in for the shit?
19. 11
john Darren ,   cairns-Austraalia   (05.15.12)
Unfortunately not as Obama will still be Prez of Us.He simply has no effective opposition.

Good question.
21. One day the Israeli Goverment may grow a spine
John ,   NZ   (05.15.12)
22. Political Prisoners
James ,   Canada   (05.15.12)
Most of them are political prisoners jailed for opposing Israel's occupation and confiscation of their lands. I commend them for their bravery to undergo this political protest. Israel is on the wrong side of this conflict as history has shown, the oppressed eventually come out on top.
23. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
pnina ,   tsafon   (05.15.12)
24. @ 5
(05.15.12)
I believe Romney could send pizzas
25. Give them Fox news and Christian Channels
Gianni   (05.15.12)
It can only do them good.
26. NO Israeli prisoners in solitary either? Like Amir's brother
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.15.12)
that was in solitary for his ENTIRE sentence in rabin's killing? Or will they treat the arabs better than the Israelis?
27. Don't tempt fate, Noodles
Cameron ,   USA   (05.15.12)
He might swing November, and he does have plans for lil ole Israel in the waiting. But by all means, keep letting the Palis and other assorted Muslims keep playing you for spooked suckers.
28. Break A Deal, Face The Wheel!
M Carr ,   Baltimore, USA   (05.15.12)
The Shin Bet said that in return the prisoners pledged “to absolutely stop terror activity from inside Israeli jails.” It also said terror group’s commanders outside the jails made a commitment “to prevent terror activity.” The above quote appears to be the heart of this article. My question is; what are repercussions WHEN the terrorists violate their pledge? I disagree with the talk-backers that have problems with these agreements. Bibi doesn’t authorize agreements that harm Israeli interests. Israeli prisons like all prisons have spies and informants dispersed throughout the prison population. Violators of this agreement will be found out and dealt with accordingly. As I ponder this latest agreement with the terrorists I am reminded of a line from Beyond Thunderdome , one of my favorite apocalypse movies. With a steely glare in her eyes, Auntie turns to the crowd and declares, “Break a deal, face the wheel!” The Pals would be wise to behave with extreme caution.
29. I Told You So
emanon ,   USA   (05.15.12)
Sorry, I couldn't help myself there. Read the story "Palestinians mark for 'Nakba Day' ". Fresh violence as predicted. So much for their lie of working towards peace.
