J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.21.12)
Hadith mentioned Beit Al- Maqdis, whats the meaning of Beit Al-Maqdis ?.is it possible that Beit Al-Maqdis is what the Jews call Beit Hamikdash, the holy Temple ? it is a Jewish holy site, what business do muslims have over there ?.christians have Rome and Beitlehem, muslims have Mecca and Medina,Jews have Jerusalem.
35. are you Jew
observer ,   Egypt   (05.21.12)
Jews in Medina at the time of Mohamed criticized him for changing the direction of his prayer from facing (qiblah) Beit Al-Maqdis where the Masjid al-Aqsa to Mecca where Kaabah (al-Masjid al-Haram) was. Qiblah (direction of prayers) was Never to except to a Masjid (Mosque). They had never contended the many so narrations of Mohammad, Muslims and Pagans about Masjid al-Aqsa. Jews never contended the many stories about Masjid al-Aqsa although this would have been a golden opportunity to destroy the new born religion. If the bible were a logbook for recording real estate property, could the bible have missed the house of G-d, the holiest of the holey and could not have told the EXACT location and exact name that would be famous by it in the whole world. Where is the exact location of the First and even the Second Temple?
36. Mecca & Medina no 29

38. Talmud Translation
AR Abu Bakar ,   Malaysia   (05.21.12)
It should be translated to Malay language as there is a very strong interest towards Jew here.
39. Talmud Translation
LION OF JUDAH   (05.21.12)
The Arabs are translating our Jewish Talmud from Hebrew to Arabic, so in future they will claim that Talmud is an Islamic and Jews have no claim whatsoever like Jerusalem. Now they are already claiming Moshe Rabenu & all the Jewish Prophets even King Solomon & KIng David were Muslims. No one will ever believe them, even though the Islam are good in twisting things from black to white and from white to orange
40. # 39 LION OF JUDAH,You are right,
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.21.12)
The muslims just came to the scene, and they claim that they invented the wheel, islam is a very primitive barbaric religion, very suitable for backwarded ignorant people.
41. # 38 Ar Abu Bakar,The importance
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.21.12)
of the Talmud isn't so much in it's content but in the way it is studied,it is studied by intelectual brain storming,by uprooting mountains and grinding them against each other, ecxellent exersise of the mind, this is not suitable for none Jews, because for Jews,to study the law is a law by itself, the Torah commands the Jews to study the law day and night, again and again.you Malasians are doing just fine, you don't need the Talmud to activate your brain, you are O.K.
42. and Jews claim Noah and Abraham were Jewish!
observer ,   Egypt   (05.21.12)

44. Correction...Jewish Mizrahis are not Arabs.
Patty Ohana ,   Rego Park USA   (05.27.12)
I want to clear this up once and for all...There are no ARAB JEWS...they are just Jews that lived in Arab lands...they were always Jews until they were kicked out. Thank God for Israel, we can finally all go home.
45. Everything is in G-d's control......
Sarah M. ,   Oregon, USA   (05.28.12)
I believe this translation, like all things, is to bring something G-d has designed to come to fruition. It has already happened, is being angry about it going to change a thing except your blood pressure?
46. @44
patty ohanski ,   Shetl   (06.01.12)
mizrahis are arab jews, while jews of germany are german jews, yemens jews are yemeni jews...are you blind? deaf? ignorant? why jews from morroco look morrocan? why yemenite jews look yemenite? why jews from europe are european looking?
47. Jews in arab lands
Julian ,   London   (06.05.12)
@46. Arabs are a race of people. The Jews therefore that lived in arab lands were NOT arabs. They were Jews who lived in arab countries,The term arab jew is an oxymoron.
48. Interfaith Daf Hayomi
Danny ,   London England   (09.23.12)
The Talmud is the basic text of practical Judaism, whichever stream you support, BUT it is very difficult to translate without giving a few commentaries. It records discussions over several centuries and includes many opinions that were not accepted. This can lead to misunderstanding if laymen see rejected opinions as reprentative of Judaism. Talmud study has become popular in parts of the Far East of late. Perhaps Muslims and Buddhists will soon join Daf Hayomi.
49. Reply to number 1. 'Waste of time'?
Danny ,   London England   (09.23.12)
Academic scholars study many esoteric subjects. Israel and Judaism are historic parts of the Middle East, so why is it a waste of time to want to understand the Talmud which is the repository of Jewish Law, values and history?
50. Number 18. Talmud mentioned in Toras Moshe
Joseph ,   London UK   (09.23.12)
The Mishnah and the Gemorra that comprise the Talmud were finally written down around the year 500 CE, long after the end of the Biblical Era. That's why the Torah and Tanach do not mention the Talmud. The Torah says you should follow the Sages of each generation and they are listed in the tractate known as Pirkei Avos or Ethics of the fathers.
