Reports I've seen suggest over 90% of French Jews voting from Israel voted for Sarkozy. I don't have numbers from France itself, but indications are that Jews voted overwhelmingly for Sarkozy. In contrast, over 90% of Muslims in France voted for Hollande. After his victory, many gathered for impromptu celebrations, waving flags - not of France, but of their countries of origin, including "Palestine". Three of Hollande's senior ministers are Muslims, including that for Women's Affairs. And Justice too, so don't expect enforcement of the burqa ban.

The price of apartments will skyrocket because French Jews will pay any price for their luxury abodes, while many Israelis will have to continue renting.

unfortunately, the same is happening in n.y. and in austin and in los angeles, sn fransisco, and major cities everywhere, not just in israel....where the less fortunate financially are the victoms of those who can pay the price asked. this is happening not only in israel, but all over the world. it is not a unique israeli problem and french jews or anyone who can afford these prices can be the cause for this misfortune to others.

A "tragedy and misfortune"? How can it be such things when Jews want to move to Israel?

I am not convinced that in the near future there will be any massive immigration of the French Jews in Israel (except a few individuals), as they do not want to abandon their luxury appartments and relatively well paid jobs and positions in France, especially the middle aged people. Unless, of course, something terrible, like a Holocaust, happen to them, God forbid!
