1. Yeahhhh!!!! Bibi is the king and Nobumma
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.17.12)
is the wimp !
2. Could you think of any other title &picture more denigrating
tom ,   tel aviv   (05.17.12)
to a leader of a country? If the answer is yes, please provide an example. I could be simply under the spell of the famous "Jewish/Israeli-victimhood syndrome". Somehow I don't think so.........
3. Trust Bibi !
Josh Steinberg   (05.17.12)
Trust Bibi ! He is the brother of the man who conducted the most spectacular hostage rescue operation in history (contrast to the American failed hostage rescue attempt in Iran in 1979). His father is one of the most renowned Israeli scholars. Both he & Ehud Barak is also highly educated and highly decorated veterans. Trust both of them, not Obama or USA - they are only bothered only about their election & economy. Remember WWII - no one came to help and 6 million died. Depend on ourselves, not others. Bibi & Ehud will save Israel from the dreaded nuclear fangs of the Ayatollahs and the second Holocaust.
4. Time. Time magazine? Are they...
Gideon Reader   (05.17.12)
...still publishing? Who knew? Do they actually have a profitable readership? Or ANY readership? Of people? Time is rarely seen even in doctor's offices. Huh. Gose to show you. Or something.
5. What the Saudi owned Time overlooks
Arie   (05.17.12)
The Parliamentarian Democratic Republic that Israel, it is the VOTERS and CITIZENS that decide who is at the helm. Unlike Time's Saudi overlords, and the fealty to "messiah" obama, this is not a dynasty of despots and cult leaders, which continue unabated by threat of force. When Israelis want a change, it will occur at the ballot box, not as is typical of Islamist states where it occurs at the end of an artillery shell
6. Ynet bashing time
Dan ,   usa   (05.17.12)
I remember when Erdogan was named Time's person of the Year Ynet and it's posters bashed Time for as being unpopular and a terrible publication but now they call Time a "Renowned publication" for putting this monster on the cover.
7. "Renowned" is a stretch for TIME
Chosid ,   New Jersey, USA   (05.17.12)
This is the same magazine that showed a nursing woman on the cover last week. The only thing this magazine is renowned for is poor editorial standards.
8. Bibi Has Been Making All The Moves
(05.17.12)
Twords Peace. However the mythical fractured arabs have the Obsticle. When time published this article the Title should be"are the mythical people going to come to the negotiating table?" are the mythical people going to Renounce All Violence? Are the mythical people going To Recognize The Israeli State and it's People!
9. Times Error
Jean-Pierre ,   Austria   (05.17.12)
It is not up to Bibi to make Peace and War, Times need to get its stupid facts straight, it is Up to the Arabs if they want peace, but they are waging war on Israel ever since
10. Bibi Is An Estemed Israeli With A Royal Like
(05.17.12)
Like pedigree, All with much hard work, good descisions and much sacrifice. But with all due respect mr stengel The Only Kings of the Israeli People were Ordained With The Blessing of Ha Shem. All Israeli's Must Stand As One in Support of Benjamin (Bibi) Netenyahu. Bibi does make war he Finishes It. arabs and Now persians beat the war drums, any future wars will be in Defence of Israel and it's People! ברוך הא שם
11. Time defines "making peace" as giving away out land.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.17.12)
Time defines "making peace" as giving away much of our sole tiny Homeland, and rendering Israel indefensible. Bibi has no mandate to do any such thing and the vast majority of Israelis wouldn't let him get away with any such "peace deal". Israel needs a P.M. with the courage to claim Judea and Samaria. Israel needs a P.M. who never concedes our rights. Even if he or she is does not speak as well Bibi.
12. Yes Time, to be a really good Israeli PM...
FreddyNYC ,   NYC USA   (05.17.12)
... Bibi must use his strength to benefit...palestinian moslems
13. Given the choices insidiously presented by Richard Stengel
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.17.12)
I prefer that Netanyahu will be a "hated" "unhistoric" person aiming at protecting and defending the entire land of Israel between the river and the sea, as the historical, ancient, original, first, present, current, last, future and eternal Jewish homeland from a demographic, territorial, political, legal, geo-political, cultural, economic, psychological, emotional, spiritual and military point of view with total control over the entire land of Israel without any Israeli Arabs or "Palestinians" (and without any "Palestinian" state that has never existed in history) then being a "loved" historic" person who sacrifices the national rights of the Jewish people and carves up the remaining 22% of the British Mandate of Palestine and gives them to a foreign, imperialist Arab civilization aiming at erasing Jews and 4000 years of Jewish history from Israel and the face of the earth. I prefer that a hated Netanyahu will defend my country and bomb Iran into oblivion then being an internationally "loved" leader that sacrifices 6 million Jews in Israel to make Iran and other anti-Semites such as Richard Stengel happy. I prefer that Netanyahu is hated but speaks the truth - namely, that we Jews are one of the oldest living civilizations on earth and in the Middle East, that we have lived in Israel for 4000 years, that we Jews have existed for thousands of years before Christianity, Islam, "West", "East", "Orient", "Occident", Europe, Russia, USA, Arabs or Moslems even existed and that Israel is our historical homeland and that no "Palestinian" people, tribe, race, culture, identity, nationality, ethnicity, nation, kings, dynasties, temples and palaces, language, alphabet or religion, currency or laws, kingdom, nation state, city state, republic, duchy, principality or empire have ever existed in recorded history, and therefore only we Jew can claim the land and not the Arabs. NO - the world has no right to take the Jewish land from the Jewish people. NO - Israel's enemies have no right to destroy us or develop nukes.
14. Stengel tries to force his OWN support of
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.17.12)
the Palis on Bibi...SHOVE it Stengel and Time !
15. Time's Love Affair with Bibi
Jake ,   USA   (05.17.12)
Time Magazine also recently listed Netanyahu as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Many are interpreting the recent love affair with Bibi, as a shrewd method of appealing to his ego, hoping that his stature becomes more important to him than doing what is best for his country.
16. Arabs laugh the loudest when Jews cry.
Ber ,   Yahud   (05.17.12)
Get ready for a dry spell. Hard to imainged the national disaster if Olmert had PM through the Obama years; demogogic frenemy of the Jews. Bower to the Saudis, champion of the Arab spring, phillabuster of atmomic mahdis, and sheep of the racist, jew bashing, reverend Wright. In one hand the white flag of peace and the other....
17. To Time: It takes two to make peace. Israel cannot
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (05.17.12)
continue to make concesions just to satisfy the world' stupidity while the Palestinians haven't move one millimiter from their demands. Whch includes de return to all refugees to Israel proper. On the other Hand Abbas can be the president of the PA but with no authority to compromise. He is subject 1st. To the Palestinian Parliament whos political parties don't recognize the right of Israel to exist. and 2nd. To the Arab League, whos demands are imposible for Israel to accept. If Abbas compromises he is a dead man, just like happened to Sadat.. There is not one Palestinian who can dare make peace with Israel. Most of Palestinian Leaders are corrrupt and second who ever dares to make pece is a dead man. Olmert gave more than he was entitled and at the end Abbas did not compromise. Same happened between Arafat and Barak.. The settlemnts are an excuse. Best example is Sinai and Gaza. When Israel has had to withdraw from settlents it did. But to stop building for nothing is stupid. Nataniahu said as allmost all PM ministers before him averything is for negotiation. But no preconditions. Palestinians know this. They know Israel can withdraw, but the reality is even if we give all Jerusalem and Haifa and Tel Aviv; Palestinians will only be satisfied with the destruction of Israel. From this point of view Hams is clear in his Agenda, there is not double talk like with Abu Masen So Mssrs from Time don't ask only Bibi, as the Palestinians, the Arab league and the rest of muslim countries. And then tell Nataniahu if he can make piece or not.
18. The Seventh Seal and The Raid on Entebbe
Adam Neira ,   Pari, France   (05.17.12)
Time's debating with G-d idea is a bit like the scene out of Ingmar Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" where the protaganist is playing chess with death. A Rubik’s Cube can always be solved in twenty moves if the right equation is in place. This is called the G-d Algorithm. It has been prophesied that all people will turn to G-d over time and that a marriage of the nations will take place. The people of the ancient Holy Land and Persia are destined to be part of this dynamic. A common goal and purpose can unite people if it is worthy, noble and realistic. Isaiah talks of a time when swords will be beaten into ploughshares. Irving Kirchner’s “Raid on Entebbe”. (The most realistic and best one of the lot by far.) is relevant here. There are a couple of pertinent lines in the film. At 1:27:50, Lt.Col. Yoni Netanyahu played by Stephen Macht to Bronson's comment "And they're still negotiating !" "That's democracy !” What is my point ? The Jewish people have a proud tradition of respecting the highest opinion on any given subject, witness the Talmudic discussions. At 1:04:59, Brigadier General Dan Shomron played by Charles Bronson addressing Lt. Gen. Mordechai Gur, played by Jack Warden......"Morda, we're wasting time, this mission needs a goal NOW to pull itself together." Point Two - A reconvened NPT Conference to be held in Jerusalem by the end of 2012 is the circuit breaker to the Iran/West imbroglio. The Iranian people deserve a better future, not more punishment. The timeline is as follows... (1) An overarching vision and plan to phase out nuclear weapons by 2025 enunciated. All nations agree and sign off on the initiative. Timeline : Dec. 3rd 2012 – 4 day conference. Agreements signed. Nuclear energy fostered whilst proliferation is halted; 2013/2014 IAEA’s annual budget expanded to $10 Billion. Staff numbers increased to 25,000. Including : Management, Inspectors, Monitors, Dismantlers (Model is Pantex plant USA) etc. IAEA structure upgraded; 2015/2016 – Inspections of all nations facilities; 2017 to 2023– Dismantlement program in percentage wise, return the chips to the dealer fashion; Dec. 2023 – Last nuclear weapon dismantled; 2024 - Signing off ceremonies. 2025 onwards – Ongoing monitoring, oversight, management of nuclear energy industry. (2) The core components of the Middle East jigsaw puzzle centered around Jerusalem are : The State of Israel; Gaza; The West Bank/Judea and Samaria; Jordan; Lebanon; Syria; Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Representatives of all these areas could attend the conference and be included in the ongoing deliberations. The current GDP of these areas is $1.6 Trillion. This can easily grow by more than 5% p.a. from 2013 onwards if stability prevails and a divinely mandated command and control structure is heeded. Persia will also benefit greatly. Visualise the following...Israeli and Iranian Taekwondo players meet in the 80kg division at the London Olympics on August 10th this year; In late 2013 Iranian tourists visit Israel in whilst Israelis make their way to Shiraz; It becomes possible to drive on a road from Jerusalem to Tehran in 2019; Israel, Iran, USA and Saudi Arabia play off in Group D of the 2022 Qatar World Cup; All nuclear weapons on Planet Earth have been eliminated by Dec.31st 2024. (3) The conference would provide the forum for various past foes to meet. For so many people to sit together in Jerusalem in a spirit of friendship and with an agreed upon collective mission would meet with divine blessings. (4) The overarching long term plan would provide the fulcrum, pivot and track for other international trust building initiatives that would need to take place after the conference. (5) The simple act of people just sitting with each other will work wonders. There is nothing more powerful for trust building than this method. (6) Isaiah’s swords into ploughshares prophecy becomes a reality.
19. Now I got it...Bibis gaze reminds me of
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.17.12)
Gary Coopers in "High Noon"...could this be a sign ?
20. Pathetic yellow journalism. Horrible writing.editing
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.17.12)
Typical myopic and pathetically narrow soapboxing by a journalist who moves into the realm of editorial fiction. By saying "...the Israeli leader who can finally make peace with the Palestinians ..." conjures up the make-believe theory that it is up to the Israelis alone to make peace, and that Fatah and Hamas have nothing to do with it. How typical of the magazine that has lost most of its luster over the years and become almost a has-been of media. There is no room for compromise if the Palestinians continue to refuse to negotiate. Stengel simply leaves that out of his article. There is also no room for compromise if the Palestinians insist on a total construction freeze - as we Israelis will in return demand a total freeze on Palestinian violence...and even Stengel must know that that will never happen.

22. #3: Right on!
Andrew ,   USA   (05.17.12)
I'm an American, so I don't get to vote, but if I could, I would vote for Netanyahu. I have lots of friends and relatives in Israel, so I am counting on him to keep them safe.
23. WILL BB MAKE WAR OR PEACE???
les ,   canada   (05.17.12)
does BB has a choice? WAR IT WILL BE! unlike the US going through the process of islamization under hussein, israel will have to make the last stand against the barbaric cult aiming at a world, under sharia barbarism.
24. Curious TIME used a black-and-white photo
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.17.12)
Was it to give Netanyahu a more sinister look? (Obama, in contrast, is always shown in color.) Perhaps it emblematic of their stark theme that Bibi would either be a man of peace (white) or a man of war (black). But they have a curious (and generally ignorant) understanding of what war and peace mean in this neighborhood. TIME is both a (money-losing) business and a magazine with an agenda. Like that other money-losing magazine (Newsweek), they're partial to Obama and the Democrats, generally critical of Israel. Perhaps they're hoping for a bail-out in a second Obama term.

You've got to love TIME Magazine. Last week it was a tit, this week it's an ass.
26. # 4
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (05.17.12)
For real! They've had Saddam Hussein, Nelson Mandella, Obama & Hitler on their cover! I think whatever "credibility" they had was lost long ago.
27. Ooooh! Time just crowned Bibi King and put forward
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.17.12)
the spin on his duties - so we already know where they are coming from. It would be more appropriate for Time to crown Obama the King of the Nations of Islam and put a spin on his duties towards Islam.
28. Time blowing hot air to PRESSURE israel into BOGUS
hippocrates ,   earth   (05.17.12)
Peace. This is nothing new. The same hyperbole that is in todays media was in yesterdays anarchist, leftist, or pan-arabist media. This author doesn't live in a country 8 miles wide with people who celebrate Jews' death like Americans celebrate July 4th. No thanks Jack---.
29. Bibi
josh ,   NY. USA   (05.17.12)
Hitler was on the cover of time. It does not mean anything, except what time think and no one cares what the times think.
