2. These are the THUGS who will witness my

personal wrath when I am king of Israel.
3. #1 Are you trying to justify this brutal act?
Commentator   (05.17.12)
There is absolutely no excuse to beat up an old woman like that. If they have suspicions about her, they should have informed the police about this and let them deal with it. That's not their job to enforce the law, that's what the police is for. And I very much doubt they have any real evidence to back up their claims because otherwise they would have complained to the police. There must be more to the story, the whole pedophile thing sounds like one dirty cover up. As for you Ora, you're an adult woman right? You should have known better before posting that comment.
4. I notice no mention the assaulter's were Hareidi.
Givalt!   (05.17.12)
Peadophile ring under her house? What is this? Reverse blood libelism?
5. # 3

I read Ora's post differently - beware the devoutly religious that may commit crimes in the name of justice. I've seen several of Ora's posts and I've never seen her display any animosity or irrationality. I think you should clarify a person's intent before attacking them, otherwise it makes you no better than the fanatical Haredim that perpetrated this attack. For the record - those guys should've gone to the police first and should be penalized to the fullest extent of the law.

So I have to read other posts of the person in question or maybe I should even get to know that person personally before I can make a proper judgement about the person's motive? What kind of nonsense is that? She should be more clear next time she makes a comment if she doesn't want to be misunderstood. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who thought she was referring to the old woman when speaking of a wolf in sheep's clothing. This is not about prejudice, this is about common sense. As for being no better than the criminals for making such an observation, are you really sure about that? I could as well criticize you for making such a ridiculous remark, but I just don't want to waste my time explaining something so obvious.

Birdi ,   Israel   (05.18.12)
Well said. I agree with you.
8. religious
joemoer ,   israel   (05.18.12)
it is getting tiresome seeing pictures of criminals in the paper who are either newly religious (wearing a kippa ) or black hatted . it seems the the majority of crime is committed by the group ..at least thats the general understanding i get from seeing the criminals in court or going to court.

If the old woman is guilty as believed the people should have taken the matter to the police. Civilian vigilante actions have no place in a society that believes in law. Beating up and old woman that MAY have been guilty is not the way to handle this matter.
10. It's Not All About Ora...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.18.12)
This is not the first time she has been attacked. The accusations of missionizing are belittled to the havoc she has wreaked on citizens and entire families in the neigborhood of Nahlaot. I don't know what could justify attacking her, but keep in mind that Ora clearly does.
11. Police
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (05.18.12)
Why didn't they just involve the police? If they had genuine evidence the police would have arrested her. What they did was a crime no matter how you look at it.
12. Some 'big bad Jews' ya got there!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (05.18.12)
it's enough to turn anyones stomach. Who beats up an unarmed old woman who they've tied to a chair? These aren't Jews, their hoodlums who attack old women. These thugs should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I can guarantee you, this is some of the worst publicity Israel can get, it comes from the rotten core of a rotten apple.

No, you don't have to read her other posts to know her motivations. She should make it clear? Dear sir, if it's "unclear" to you, then you have no justification to make an attack until you understand - that's your responsibility, and I didn't see you ask her. My point is that your knee-jerk jump to a conclusion about what she meant just makes you look like an immature hothead - much like the Haredi that attacked the woman. I'd love for you to "waste your time explaining something so obvious (apparently only to you)", but you apparently can't be bothered to do little things like clarify positions or make yourself unambiguously clear - the very thing you attacked Ora for. Now go away little man, let the grown-ups talk.
14. #11, and the police
i ,   jerusalem   (05.18.12)
I don't know if this is related to a specific large scale pedophile ring, but the one I know of represented huge failure of the police and prosescutors and some serial offenders walked free to continue their murderous pastime. The police cited contamination of witnesses and evidence, while the sickos were in possesion of incriminating video. With failures of this degree and with the large number of victims, what would you expect to happen. What if the creep next door to you harmed one of yours, and walked free?

Actually I understood her perfectly clear, and so did anyone with enough common sense to realize she was referring to the old woman when speaking of a wolf in sheep's clothing. The only one here who seems not to understand is you. It looks like you got a problem with reading comprehension. And I don't even understand why you have jumped in her defense, trying so hard to make her look misunderstood when in fact you have no idea what her real intention was when she was writing that comment. She's an adult person, I think she can speak up for herself. If she didn't mean it this way it's her fault for posting a misleading comment. Also, take a good look in the mirror because the only one who has actually attacked here is you with your childish insults like "let the grown-up's talk"... Seriously? Look at yourself, you sound like a kid who knows he has lost the argument so he switches to personal attacks, like a real loser.
16. #15 - Yes
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (05.18.12)
Yes, yes, you're certainly correct. "If she didn't mean it this way it's her fault for posting a misleading comment" - the logic of a narcissist, not the thought process of a rational person - "If I'm not sure how she meant it, maybe I should clarify before attacking her". It's her fault that you don't know how to interpret her? How clever of you. As for "and so did anyone with enough common sense" - apparently YOU are the only one here holding the position that Post #1 should be attacked (refer to post #7, I don't see anyone siding with you). As for why I'm defending her - I told you in post #5, I've read her posts before and have never seen her make a statement like the one you interpreted & posited that you should clarify her intentions before attacking her. I then made the analogy of your actions with the knee-jerk reactions of the Haredim in this article. Since you couldn't understand that, you tried to belittle me by espousing how inferior my intellect is that I didn't "understand" something so obvious. Therefore, you displayed not only that you are ill-tempered, but also that you have a delusion of grandeur, which makes you unsuitable for participating in adult discussion - hence, I dismissed (not attacked) you. Good day to you sir!
17. Don't these talkbacks tell us anything?
Edithann ,   USA   (05.19.12)
It's taught me how easy it is to attack each other rather then attack the criminals and the social aspects of the crime... . I guess that's why Israel is such a success.. TATA
18. 3 What are talking about?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.19.12)
The foto of the article shows the criminals[wolves] in Haredi [sheep s] clothing.
19. 5 Amichai You have great judgment
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.19.12)
most probably because you are goodhearted and intelligent.
20. 16 Amichai BRAVO ! !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.19.12)
21. Please
Chaim ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.19.12)
Dont write anything here if you don't know the facts of the case. Let's say the police were notified. And let's say they haven't done enough to stop these sickos from doing what they are doing. And let's say these sickos would do something to ur kids? And then you and them would need serious counseling and your lives would never be able to go back to normal. Please don't judge, thanks.
22. the main suspect
Chaim Brown ,   Israel   (06.04.12)
I don't know this boy personally but have seen him in my neighbourhood and have allot of friends in common. All the people that know him just have good things to say about him and what a helpful and kind hearted person he is. Something here with this whole story stinks. The police have him as suspect but they claim the other suspects left the country right after, if he did it why would he not have run away too ?
23. is that the woman of the conversion program?
