There's a difference between immigrating legally and border-jumping. Living in the US, I can tell you that illegal immigration is a huge problem. Legal immigrants come here for a better life with the intention of binding their fate with that of the host nation. Generally speaking, for better or worse, those immigrants are dedicated to being "Americans" & no longer nationally identify with their originating country. Not true with illegals - they maintain their allegiance & nationality of their originating country and willfully break the laws of the host country JUST BY THEIR PRESENCE. Their flippant attitude toward their host nation induces them to have no regard for any of the laws & they tend to break them more often. In 2007, more Americans were murdered by illegal immigrants than soldiers killed in the Iraq war. If they had any respect for the host country, they would immigrate legally. But, most don't want to share the responsibilities of citizenship, they just want to suckle the prosperous teet dry & return home. This is killing the US now & given that Israel is much smaller, it will have a greater impact in a shorter period of time.
