1. With some economic aid?
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (05.18.12)
Send them back with some economic aid, huh? If that aid only consists of a meal and a one-way ticket, then OK. This is not a humanitarian crisis of Israel's making and the government has no responsibility other than to the citizens of Israel.
2. Other than talk what is being done?
Rachel ,   US   (05.18.12)
3. Its the Haredim fault isnt it ?

michael Pielet ,   Israel   (05.18.12)
Return the illegals and ask them to take Meridor with them! What if they cut the fence?
5. The fault of Israeli society is that we have
jason white ,   afula, israel   (05.18.12)
fools like meridor in the knesset!
6. Why not let the U.N. do its job?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.12)
There are many well-funded agencies of the United Nations whose function is to see to the care, feeding and absorption of "refugees." These are NOT people fleeing from violence. These are people who do not wish to be conscripted, or who want to find some means of support to send funds home to be used to bring MORE of their familes to Israel illegally, or who simply wish to take up residence in a country that will feed them, care for them and give them medical care at a standard which they have never experienced. THEY don't care if Israel's social service agencies and medical facilities are taxed with the burden of the whole host of social and medical problems that these people have. THEY don't care if the needs of Israelis cannot be readily met as a result. The United Nations must assume responsibility for the illegal aliens who plague Israel. You practically cannot walk anywhere in Tel Aviv anymore without being accosted by panhandlers, many of whom are quite threatening. Israel must deport the illegal aliens, either to their countries of birth or to a facility abroad which is overseen by the United Nations. Israel should not be in the business of doing the United Nations' job -- let those overpaid, overfunded and overfed useless bureaucrats do their jobs.
7. agreements NO - mass deportation YES
zionist forever   (05.18.12)
We don't need to be looking to reach agreements we need large scale deporting. Right now deportations are in the hundreds now and again the government might deport 1000 and boast about what a good job they are doing without mentioning the fact there are 3000 entering via Sianai every month. Building fences ( which must be fences they can't just cut ) are only part of the long term solution right now we need to start kicking out the people who are already here. The vast majority are economic migrants not refugees and we should have the police make regular sweeps of areas where we know these people hang out and if they cannot prove they are here legally then arrest them and give them a 1 way ticket home. Zero tolerance unless you can prove your a refugee with a reason to be here your out, no rights to petition the court or anything. Build more than 1 super detention centre so we can not only deal with the people who are coming into the country but also the ones we round up off the streets. With the Filipinos who either came into the country illegally to work or the ones who entered on a short term work permit but decided they didn't want to go home they are also deported even if they do have children they take to protests and have hold up banners saying I LOVE ISRAEL AND I WANT TO SERVE IN THE IDF which is always a sure way to get the bleeding heart liberals on their side. With the real refugees we should set a maximum limit of how many we will take every year and we then must arrange for the UN to take the surplus off our hands and rehouse them elsewhere. The government can introduce legislation making the penalty for employing illegals very tough because right now the punishment isn't harsh enough to be a suitable deterant. Make it so employers can be jailed for hiring illegals or have their business shit down and its for the business owners to prove they didn't know. At the same time get a campaign going to get unemployed Jews doing the jobs that foreign labourers are doing now then we get people in work so its good for the economy. Israel must not allow itself to be used as the worlds biggest refugee camp or the economic land of milk and honey for everybody from the third world looking for a new life
8. Schocken family houses should become neighbours to Africans
AB   (05.18.12)
before official Israel stars doing something ith the growing problem with African freeloaders destroying Israel and Israelis
9. I am one of those residents
Ron M ,   South T.A / Zion   (05.18.12)
The situation is untenable, not acceptable. We pay the same taxes in South TA as all Israelis do, I am entitled to my quality of living as well. I am not without sympathy but this is totally unacceptable. My quality of life, property values, security, well being have all plummeted as a result of the State's inaction. I live in Africa now. Meanwhile the leftist big mouths in Northern Tel Aviv criticize. Let them spend one day here so they shut their mouths with their BS. As long as it is not in their backyard they are always in favor of anything.. Always at everyone else's expense.
10. Meridor could say the same to Arab League
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.18.12)
"...Those who remain as refugees should be treated humanely," Something that the Arab League has failed to do for 64 years. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
11. This is one issue the government should over rule the court
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.18.12)
on. Deport them. Their presence is not in the interest of the state. Furthermore, when they and their progeny get citizenship, these foreigners will swing the the votes to the leftists which is why they are supported by the left. Why allow these misfits to create criminal dens! The long term effect will be an absolute nightmare. Don't you have enough troubles than to allow another one to develop and fester??????????
12. Africans in Africa ! No more rapes because of illegals
(05.18.12)
13. To Meridor
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.18.12)
..."the recent wave of violence "is not related to the migrants". Brilliant pronouncement, man! In that case, intersperse these migrants in refugee centers throughout north Tel Aviv as well because according to you, they are not at all violent. Give the residents of north Tel Aviv the wonderful opportunity to treat the poor, suffering refugees in a most humane manner. Why be a hypocrite and bless only south Tel Aviv with their non-violent presence? Huh???
14. These blacks from Africa are the worst problem ..
Keren ,   IL-BR   (05.18.12)
...of Israel by now,but I have encountered in streets people from Sri Lanka and others parts of South India,Southern Asia..etc that I have NO IDEA how they are getting in. Israel MUST look to this problem with the URGENT care it needs lest the beautiful and so fought for Israel go through the drain quickly!
15. Reach "agreements?"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.12)
Oh, I don't think so. Put them on the next flight out, and let their home countries figure out what to do with them. I know that the United Nations has always expressed an excessive (!) amount of concern for ersatz "Palestinian" displaced persons. Perhaps those same U.N. bureaucrats can meet the flights. One or the other way, the illegal aliens who are a pox upon the House of Israel will no longer be of any concern to Israel. All countries deport illegal aliens -- particularly the undesirable ones. The United Nations has divisions which are specifically geared to address such concerns. Plenty of external resources. It is criminal to require Israel to have to deal with illegals, who contribute nothing to the State. Not our problem. Let their home countries or the United Nations deal with it. OH MY GOODNESS! That just might give the United Nations something useful to do, for a change!
16. Of course it is their fault
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.18.12)
Who else is committing those crimes? Hold the criminals responsible. Deport them all and arrest anybody aiding them and they won't come here anymore.
17. I agree with 6#.the other point is the
Dyslexic....... ,   Israel...   (05.18.12)
longer they stay the more they hate us.In the end they think we owe them a living, they are already telling us how much they hate Israel and want too go back to there countries. So what are we waiting for send the hole lot back, they are only trouble.
18. Just stop paying taxes
Berk ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (05.18.12)
and sue the state of Israel for neglecting your rights.
19. #5 ersatz Israelis
RHarris ,   London   (05.18.12)
Yet another posting showing an utter and total lack of humanity - but thrilling to read, yet again, of the "ersatz Palestinian displaced persons" a) ersatz Palestinian - utter nonsensical expression b) ersatz displaced persons - utter crapola - as if they didn't live in the territory designated as Palestine and as if they were not displaced. You can argue until you are blue in the face (and beyond, I hope) as to the reasons by hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were uprooted in 1948 and 1967, but it is impossible to ignore the truth that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians actually were displaced and saw their homes, land, assets, taken over the Custodian of Absentee Property (or even worse, they were designated ne'darim nohakhim - that most damnable of legal fictions) and the assets were then sold on to nice Jewish immigrants. I think there is a Latin expression which you should take to heart: Homo Sapiens Non Pissat In Ventum But then that would presuppose that you are 'sapiens" - rather than a fetid piece of drek dripping with racial hatred.
20. MERRIDOR! OUT of Likud! Join

I agree with your long post but your words are wasted. You know very well that the UN is a useless org.And the PM will not deport anyone-he can only see what cooking with Iran.Of course the people -a million demonstrating might be the answer.

john Darren ,   cairns-Austraalia   (05.19.12)
You certainly don't know very much about why there is such a thing about ersatz"Palestinians".Read your own ME history. What about the 8000,000 Jews expelled from Arab countries.RHarris, don't kid your self ,you are an Arab.
24. Finish the fence fasrt
Reuven   (05.19.12)
Do it very, verty quiickly. But don't wait for it to be copmpleted. Send large grouops of them out of Israel NOW!
25. How?
Joe ,   Harare Zimbabwe   (05.19.12)
How can you Jews be so stupid? You are letting the scum of the Earth into your country without any reaction? Wake up and get rid of them by yourselves with sticks and stones! Why are you waiting for your idiotic and corrupt government to save you?
26. To: No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.19.12)
The only people who were ever considered and identified as Palestinians were the Jews. Arabs were always identified in census records -- both during the Ottoman Era and the British Mandate -- as "Arabs" or "Bedouins." Never, but NEVER, were they identified as Palestinians. Only Jews were identified as such. Today's so-called ersatz "Palestinians" are therefore precisely that -- ersatz. Whether you like it or not. The Arab people who populate the so-called "refugee" camps are NOT refugees. They were voluntary quits who heeded the call from Arab leadership to move away to allow the "conquering Arab armies to throw the Jews into the sea." Well, of course it didn't quite work out that way, but they did leave voluntarily, and it is entirely within Israel's discretion to deny them the right to return. I note for the record that those Arabs who did NOT heed the call and remained in their homes are Israeli citizens and enjoy all the rights and privileges of citizenship, although not all of the obligations. Israel, as a sovereign state, has the absolute right to exercise eminent domain. Those homes and lands (nearly all of which had no deeds of ownership attached, by the way) which were abandoned became property which reverted to the State of Israel. Whether you like it or not. How is it that your vaunted ersatz "Palestinians" did not invent themselves until 1964? How is it that the ones living in Judea and Samaria were quite content to be Jordanian -- and remain Jordanian citizens to this day, despite Jordan's best efforts to undo their 1954 Citizenship Law, which conferred Jordanian citizenship upon all West Bank Arabs AND THEIR PROGENY irreovcably. The Hague has consistently ruled that "irrevocably" means precisely that. The illegal Arab squatters in the West Bank are therefore Jordanian citizens, and when Israel annexes Judea and Samaria, they will be repatriated to Jordan. Six wars have been started by the Arabs, and Israel emerged victorious in all six. The ersatz "Palestinians" have engaged in over seven decades of unremitting terror against Jews, both in Israel and in the Diaspora. Don't you think that it should count for something? Moreover, the ersatz "Palestinians" have rejected no fewer than three opportunities for a two-state solution and have rejected all three including, most recently, one which would have awarded them 95% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a capital. They opted to start the second intifada instead. Of course, that proved to be a disastrous decision, but that is hardly the fault of Israel. No more bites at the apple. We have had quite enough with those violent terrorist thugs. I know Latin, too. Here's one for you: sic fratur crustulum. Chew on that, bubbeleh.

30. Meridor: Violence wave not migrants' fault
Amram Yosef ,   Petach Tikva, Israel   (05.19.12)
MIK Meridor is one hundred percent correct: in claiming that violence is 'not migrants' fault'. It is not. They are only doing what they know how to do best. The fault lies in our inept, incompetent government that has allowed thousands of these people to set camp in our cities.
