Most sane people want a peaceful outcome to the Iran/West imbroglio. Any strategist saying that it is ok if 1,000 Israelis, 10,000 Americans and 1,000,000 Iranians die in a "little" war is insane. Obviously if certain red lines are crossed Israel and its allies will need to use the military option, but there are a multitude of positive moves that can made before that date which will lead to the optimal outcome. Iran and the Persians circa 2012 are quite a different kettle of fish than the Iraqis circa 1981. The next few days leading up to and including the Baghdad P5+1 talks really are crucial to the future of the Middle East. P.S.
