It simply says that the left has held this over Lieberman's head because they fear him. Most likely outcome will be a plea bargain that contains no moral turpitude. Lieberman will throw them a bone to end this. The only problem is that the left doesn't want it to end. They want to hold a threat over Lieberman's head.
