1. Dont trust America
Tomas Berg   (05.22.12)
America never came to help during WWII despite knowing millions of Jews were being exterminated., they only entered the war when Japan attacked them. America talked peace when Saddam was building Osirak reactor, but after Israel did the hard work, was able to invade & take over Iraq easily. America is 10,000 miles from Iran, Israel is next door. America is more worried about their economy, Israel their survival. Israel - do what has to be done....before its too late.....Attack NOW ! Don't worry about US support. The USA will be dragged in to protect their precious oil reserves, which is far more important to them than any Israeli lives .
2. What Mr. Yadlin says is very important.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (05.22.12)
But he's not the one pulling the strings, is he?
3. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.22.12)
Iran is clearly playing for time till they have operational nukes. The evil Obama regime is perfectly content to let the Mad Mullahs get away with it. There is only one sane Israeli course of action. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!

Thomas I guess that you are sitting safely in the USA.
5. The talks are meaningless
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (05.22.12)
Obama is 100% to blame for the crisis and the damage caused to US interests. Obama's main priority is to prevent an Israeli attack on Iran that would end his chances for re-election. By pretending the talks achieved something, he makes it impossible for Israel to attack. His second priority is to weaken Iran by fomenting the civil war in Syria. After Assad won the first round, Obama is now sending reinforcements including the Al-Qaeda teams that used car bombs to murder civilians in Damascus, advanced antitank missiles to the Sunni forces and possibly Western troops to join the Qatari troops already fighting Assad. The only question is whether Obama will start a world war if Putin does not abandon Assad.
6. #4 what gave you that impression ?
Tomas Berg   (05.22.12)
That would be hypocritical.

Well you did not mention from where your are. As you will have noticed there are plenty of foreign armchair generals offering their advice here If I have unjustly included you in this definition then please accept my apologies.

Israeli 2   (05.22.12)
Yadlin is merely saying to the Israeli leadership that if you go it alone, make certain it is done right. Otherwise, Israel requires outside assistance. (e.g. do not just do to Iran like you did to Iraq and Syria.) Bombing alone would be insufficient. Go in there and yank out the regime and this time do not bow to American pressure with a limited attack. If it includes civilians, so be it.
10. To: Israel Israeli at No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.22.12)
I respectfully beg to differ. By pretending that the talks achieved something hot on the heels of the pronouncement out of Teheran that Iran remains steadfast in its ultimate goal of bringing about the destruction of the State of Israel, Obama looks like a prize fool. Israel has been extraordinarily patient. But it would appear that despite Israel's preference not to act unilaterally in the run-up to the American presidential election in November, that is no longer feasible. Iran cannot be trusted, and the assortment of Western "diplomats" who believe Iran are not to be trusted, either. They either -- like Obama -- have a private agenda, or are complete idiots. Take your pick. As always, Israel must rely on itself. And if we save civilization in the process, no one will thank us. That's also predictable. The important thing to take away here is that Israel's existential concerns are exclusively Israeli. The United States can scream and foam at the mouth as much as it wants, Israel won't really much care. Nor should it. The other important thing to take away from this whole episode is that Israel should not alert the United States in advance, much the way we did not alert the United States about the impending attack on Osirac and the attack on the Syrian reactor. Both times, the United States were invited to participate, and both times the United States declined. So even though the U.S. knew it was a foregone conclusion that Israel would strike -- as indeed it did -- the United States was not informed in advance. No head's up for the Moslem-in-Chief. He'd be on the phone to Teheran in no time at all, and we cannot have that. A little public humiliation will be the perfect comeuppance for the arrogant incompetent in the White House, anyway.
11. #9. Israel should treat enemy civilians as WW II Allies did.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.22.12)
#9 Israeli. You are absolutely correct. We should all be sick and tired of the way Israel fawns over enemy civilians. Countless (mostly young) I.D.F. soldiers have lost their lives to the lunatic agenda of protecting enemy civilians at any cost. Israel should treat enemy civilians as the WW II Allies did. They are expendable. Whatever it takes to get the job done!
12. you are right mr yadlin....
les ,   canada   (05.22.12)
DON'T RUSH TO DECLAIRE iran TALKS A SUCCESS. the "talks" are going on for decades, and the result is that iran is a breath away from exploding their nuke, if they did'nt already in north korea. TIME HAS ALREADY RUN OUT!
13. Why these guys continue to give personal opinions
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (05.22.12)
If they were from the israel Inteligence they should restrain from comments, fro ethical reasons. The only valid voice should be the one of the government. This is not a tea party commentary it's something very delicate that could threten the security of the country. Why Ynet news publishes this. Doesn't Ytnews have a patriotic responsability. This has nothing to do with liberty of expression. It has to do with self restarin when we deal with the security of the State

Chaim, 100% right. However: Even Yitzhak Rabin, when questioned as to what happened to the spirit of 1967, sadly replied: "I do not have this sort of men anymore"...And what happened even to him, who was once known to Arabs as "a bone crusher" - He dug up Yasser Arafat from the garbage dump in Tunisia and shared a Nobel Peace price (!!!???) with this arch terrorist
15. #10 and treason
RHarris ,   London   (05.22.12)
Well - never mind the article - I am shocked at your words. If you were an Israeli Arab MK and spoke the same way about the Prime Minister of Israel ("a little public humiliation for the arrogant incompetent in the White House") - you would be the first one leading the screaming "expel the goy" "send the Fakestinian back to Arabia" etc. I guess that your ever-arrogant superior statements only work one way - i.e. against other people, but what is sauce for the gander is certainly not, in your book, sauce for the effed goose.
16. To: No. 15 - SECOND ATTEMPT
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.23.12)
Obama is incompetent, and you need look no further than the mess in the Middle East and the economy in the United States -- which has been in a persistent downward spiral -- to understand that. He is arrogant in his dismissive off-mike comments about Prime Minister Netanyahu. Obama knelt and kissed the ring of the Saudi king during his official state visit to Riyadh, but has consistently exhibited a zero-tolerance policy toward America's only dependable ally in the Middle East -- the State of Israel. Only when he started plummeting in the polls and he needed to plump up his campaign coffers did Obama start making noises which might be construed as somewhat favorable to Israel, although his gestures have not been credible, and are almost universally discounted -- and not just by Jews. Therein the arrogance. I'm not advocating the violent overthrow of the United States, which would constitute treason. Nor do I give aid and comfort to enemies of the United States (how else to characterize pumping $3 billion a year into the country that sheltered Osama bin Laden for 10 years?). I am simply exercising my right to freely express my views -- that Obama is incompetent, arrogant and should not be re-elected. That is actually a rather widely-held view in the United States. Don't you have enough to do to keep your home-grown terrorist radicals at bay in the U.K.? Finally, I do not hold public office in the United States. Nor in Israel, for that matter. An Arab MK DOES hold office in Israel, and is thus bound by Israeli not to engage in treasonous activities. That did not stop several of them from visiting Libya and meeting with Qaddafi several years ago, and it did not stop MK Zoabi from sailing aboard the MAVI MARMARA, whose expressed intention was to violate Israel's fully lawful and internationally recognized maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip. You will recall that the Palmer Report decreed Israel's blockade to be both fully legal and internationally recognized. So, as members of the Knesset, they should be stripped of their credentials because they violated the very laws of the country that they have taken oaths to uphold. As to expulsion -- they spend so much time in Ramallah and hobnobbing with Hamas (equally against the law) that they may as well move either to Ramallah or to Gaza. Of course they'll never do that -- the life they lead in Israel and the freedoms and comforts that they enjoy are far superior to anything they can expect anywhere else in the Arab world. You're just a rabid anti-Semite. While I take very great care to lay the foundation for my dislike of the ersatz "Palestinians" and my contempt of other Arab and Moslem states, all you do is hurl baseless charges and considerable invective against the State of Israel. You are just a vile little individual of absolutely no consequence.

You have devastated this useless English bloke. What a dolt he is. I honestly do not have the stamina (energy) and resources to do what you do. The question is: Are they worth your free time and education? As you said they are rabid anti-semites.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.23.12)
My family asks me that all the time -- why do I bother? They are so imbued with hatred for the Jewish people and for the State of Israel, they are pretty much uneducable. Two reasons, I suppose. One would be that someone who may be "undecided" about the issues should have access to the truth and not just the absurd musings of the likes that some of the ignorant posters that frequent this thread tend to spout. The other would be to serve notice upon Europeans in particular and some others that the Jewish people are here to stay; we are articulate, intelligent and remarkably resourceful people who have our country again after a 2,000 year interregnum and no one -- but NO ONE -- is going to take it away or threaten the Jewish people again. It's also fun to make them squirm. They may see themselves as pursuers of "justice" or however they choose to characterize their enthusiastic endorsement of the fictitious ersatz "Palestinian" party line, but scratch the surface, and you will always find someone who knows nothing of the politics and the history of the region, and knows even less about international law, and probably doesn't even care all that much for the ersatz "Palestinians" -- but hates Jews. Outing them is the best part. How many times have you read "I'm not anti-Semitic; I'm only anti-Zionist." As if there were a difference. Taking them down off their imaginary pedestals from whence they profess all manner of high ideals, and showing them to be what they REALLY are -- the same uneducated, lock-step Jew haters that the Jewish people have known for millennia -- is also fun. When they offer up their posts, they are goose-stepping immaculately attired Nazis. By the time I get through with them, they are prisoners in the dock at Nuremberg, awaiting the rope. Strip them of their polished veneer (those that have any; admittedly, that's the rarity), and they are nothing. Stinking, sweating pigs with nothing that gives meaning to their drab little lives except their hatred of Jews -- that is the sweetest water of all.

" Iran is committed to the complete destruction of Israel " according to Iran's Chief of Staff. Isn't it a war declaration ?
