1. Great idea...
Tuvia Schertzman,MD ,   Betar Ilit, Israel   (05.31.12)
Should be required of all Christians. All Jews should be required to know Hebrew. Let all the Christians in the US also learn Aramaic. It will keep them busy.
2. Jesus
Shimon ,   Poleg   (05.31.12)
Yesua or Issa prayed in Hebrew He was Jewish. Maybe these guys should have a bit of respect for the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Kinda hurts them to accept thiese facts! If they want to feel closer to their messiah they could maybe be a bit more constructive in the Land of the Jews - Israel and not seek to destroy us!
3. Aramaic in Israel
Gerald ,   Galilee, Israel   (06.01.12)
Some of the immigrants from Kurdistan were also Aramaic speakers, and I would guess that in numeric terms they and their former Muslim neighbours in Iraq/Turkey probably outnumber the Christian Aramaic speakers, A comparison of the two dialects would be interesting
4. Jesus' language
MR   (06.01.12)
They would be better off learning Hebrew and get a better understanding of Jesus' own religion instead of using that terrible translation they do.
5. Jesus was a REBBI,and a JEW,speaking BOTH
Dr. David   (09.20.12)
Hebrew and JUDEO Aramaic. He speaks to Jews, in Hebrew, and sermons are in Hebrew, not Aramaic, and reference to biblical text are clearly of Hebrew origin. The claim by Christians to Aramaic use is designed to deny Jesus's national identity. It is purely hate motivated attempts at denial of Jewish roots and rights over their ancestral land. Christianity does not believe Jesus. That is the main source of the issue.
