1. Welcome to Israel
Daniel   (05.29.12)
2. If she...
Alex   (05.29.12)
If she swears loyalty to Israel as a Jewish state I see no problem in letting her stay atleast until it's safe for her to return, as long as she works and contributes to the country. Alternatively giving her the option to leave for another country instead of being deported.
3. Israel should accept her and protect
Israeli 2   (05.30.12)
her. Place her in a safe place and be vigilant of her every move...unless she is placed under the auspices and responsibility of other loyal Arab-Israelis. She is obviously normal, unlike the others.
4. only if she will be a propaganda prop
Golan ,   modiin   (05.30.12)
otherwise she should be sent to an Arab country like Syria where human rights is as much as a joke and Human Rights Activists.
5. I am pretty sure
Mara ,   Vienna   (05.30.12)
that there are lots of Arabs who would like to live in Israel rather than in the territories, but would not dare to say it openly and no Arab in Israel would dream to go to there. Be merciful, Israel, and give her shelter, that might teach the world something about the real backgrounds.
6. Palestinians woman illigal stay in Israel
JUDAH THE LION   (05.30.12)
She will be welcome to Sweden,Iceland, Denmark or Norway
7. Humanitarian Israel
Michael ,   Jerusalem   (05.30.12)
This woman she be treated treated as a refugee and be afforded indefinite residency, pending investigation into her claims, furthermore, if she should continue to be harassed or threatened by her family from the west bank, they should either be arrested or deported, because honor crimes are unacceptable in any society, certainly ours. We already treat Palestinian homosexuals as refugees (due to penalty of death in PA + Hamas controlled areas) and we should extend the same policy to women like her, as well as victims of domestic violence or religious persecution in the case of the the Christians.
8. I suppose so, but ...
AliceinWonderland ,   Oceana   (05.30.12)
It is only one individual, so she ought to be allowed to stay, especially as she has already taken up residence. As far as the honor killing story goes - quite possible, of course. But people will say anything to "get papers." She easily could be another Norma Khouri. It is hard to say.
9. earn your stay
Ellen ,   Netanya   (05.30.12)
The world denies the twisted concept of honor killings and only sees Israel as the " bad one" This women can stay AFTER she goes on speaking tours. Let her travel to the university campuses ( world wide) to speak about the truth. Let her go under Israeli protection.Let Israel foot the bill. When she is done with a year tour and has told her story in person, AND in the press only then would she have earned the right to stay in Israel.
10. what?!
chaim witz   (05.30.12)
11. what?!
chaim witz   (05.30.12)
Since when Israel is a safe harbor for illegals? This person probably does not have any proofs that what she is saying is true. And even if it is, giving her protection is a problem for palestinian authorities, not the State of Israel. Let them send her away.
12. The court cannot admit...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.30.12)
... that we are making peace, and a state in our backyard, with a government that would allow one of its citizens to be murdered in cold blood. The precedent sent from such a ruling would derail the entire fabric of the Oslo Peace Process.
13. Remove those arabs who are traitors, bring in those arabs
hippocrates ,   earth   (05.30.12)
who r friends
14. Palestinian problem
Barak ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.30.12)
This honor killing is a Palestinian problem. Israelis should not have to take in illegals because they would be killed back in their Arab lands. The world community should put the pressure on Arabs not to murder their own women, not make it Israel's problem to stop it from happening.
15. ISRAEL CANNOT IMPOSE ITS LAWS
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (05.30.12)
onto the citizen of another country. If she wants to become Israeli then Israel will protect her.
16. Why all this effort to deport this girl, while Eritreans...
Scott ,   USA   (05.30.12)
nap in playgrounds?
17. Its her homeland
PalestinianChristian ,   Ramallah   (05.30.12)
She should be able to stay inside of Jewish Palestine if she is not safe returning to her town. Ramallah, Jaffa, Nablus, Nazareth- its all our homeland anyways. You can not be illegal in your own land. So let her stay where she is safe. And no #2, she can pledge loyalty to "Israel" but not to a Jewish state, as we are not Jewish but Muslim and Christian.
18. #6
Ali ,   Jerosalem,Palestine   (05.30.12)
She is welcome to stay in her country as long as she wants.
19. Give her time, she will mary a Jew
Yossef   (05.30.12)
she will convert and become more jewish than most of the talkbackers ;-)
20. Let UN Protect Her and Abbas be Responsible for it
Netanya ,   Netanya   (05.30.12)
Let the world see what is really the truth, that the palestinians are treated poorly, not by Israel, but by the palelstinians. Make Abbas responsible for her protection and this should be brought to the world's attention, loudly! She should be a hero to all the palestinians who live in fear daily!
21. so what
David ,   Haifa Israel   (05.30.12)
22. Where Is the UN?Assorted"human rightists"&leftist loudmouths
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (05.30.12)
and the rest of the Israel bashing industry? Do the pure Swiss and South Africans regard this as legal?
23. deport her
American Jewess ,   USA   (05.30.12)
Deport her, along with the homosexual Arabs, to a country supporting BDS--the Scandinavias or South Africa for example If you let one in, a flood will follow, all claiming to be under a death threat in their benighted Muslim homelands.
24. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.30.12)
Oh, please. Why don't you consider the REASON she cannot return home? Why cannot she be safe in her family home? That will tell you precisely why there is no making "peace" with you primitive and violent lot. And it isn't your homeland. You are an Arab. You can claim the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert (that is where most of you come from, after all) but you cannot claim the land which belongs to the Jews. Finally, Israel IS the Jewish state. Q.E.D., pledging loyalty to the Jewish state is pledging loyalty to Israel. You cannot split that hair, ya'habibi. Don't even try.
25. to# 17 "palistinien"
Marcelo ,   Berlin / TLV   (05.30.12)
you are very funny. Vintage and nostalgic people like you calling themself palestineans when that name was used until 1947...well, so you might be also using the URSS and Yugoslavia, arent you? Anyway, "pali", you can write whatever you want, negate it, close your eyes, scream and even sometimes throw a rock...ISRAEL will stay and will get stronger and stronger with the years. You kind used to make me angry and sad, but you know, you are all a joke. Keep on selling thos T-shirts with the jordanean flag as the whole Israel...you will be as miserable as now or even worst with the years to come....bye bye "pali"...
26. I wish for her the best
jerusalem   (05.30.12)
I hope she wins the case and if so needs to move somewhere else for secrecy. Sadly, Its cases like this where I thank God we are under occupation. May God change backward societal problems such as this.
27. #12: true
jerusalem   (05.30.12)
Imagine those Arab cases who also happen to be residents/citizens of israel having the honor killing 'phenomenon' still in action and the duty of tracking them down and charging the perpetrators being swept under the table with negligence or purposely disregarding it. Its actions such as what you state and the above that actually incriminates and damages israel (something that you probably care about more than I do, no offense)
28. Let Obama save her....
Send her to the US ,   Israel   (05.30.12)
Or let him see the true brutality of the Arabs for himself.
29. Let her stay - it's the right thing to do
Talula ,   Israel   (05.30.12)
30. #18
dude ,   rome   (05.30.12)
