Their treatment of Allied prisoners of war shocked the conscience (look up "Bataan Death March"). An invasion of the Japanese home islands would have cost the lives of one million Americans, or more and would have prolonged the war. I note for the record that the bombing of Hiroshima was not enough to end the war -- it took the second bomb at Nagasaki. Even so, there were plenty of Americans who did not want to drop the bomb on Japan. Ultimately, it was President Truman's decision, and ONLY his decision. Your analogy is inapposite. In fact, it is ridiculous on its face. But we expect no less from you.
