1. hillary Come On Now Isn't This Game
(05.31.12)
Getting old? Israel Has No Peace Partner, the arab/bedouins aka pali's are A Divided people With Mal Intent. Israel gives and abu mazen Takes. Israel comes to the table Ready To Negoiate and abu mazen runs the other way. How Many Israeli's Go Into arab villages and Murder Sleeping Familes including infants? How Years have Israel Fired Rockets, missiles and Mortar rounds into gaza and west bank? Truth Be Told Two States For Two People Has Been Done,Achived or What ever you want to call it, #1 Israel and #2 trans-jordan aka jordan ruled by Pseudo-king abdallah. Now iran and syria Is What should be priority, now don't you think mademoiselle ?
2. Now all she needs to do is to get Abbas to the table
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (05.31.12)
For almost 4 years now Abbas has used every trick and excuse to avoid direct negotiations. He got a 10 month building freeze and waited until the end of month 9 to start talks, and not about peace but about extending the freeze. For the past 2 years he has added more and more preconditions to attending talks. So let's see him willing to come to the table and talk, without preconditions to predetermine the outcome.
3. Clinton is very brilliant
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado,U.S   (06.01.12)
She says Peace can only come thru negotiantions! She learned her genius from neville chamberlin
4. How pathetic..
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (06.01.12)
It doesn't take a good diplomat to convince Israel to negotiate..Let Hilary first bring the other side to the "table".. Who does Hillary think, she is fooling ? Unforftunetly, too many.. Applying pressure only on Israel and repeating the same old record about " unileteral step"s and "direct talk"s, is almost as old, as her bad hair style and her uniform.. The fact, that the Palestinians had never negotiated with Israel, is telling enough...But not too many care about the the factual truth...Until it will come back to "bite" them...Did Israel's so-called allies forget what happened in Camp David ? And those where the good old times...
5. Secretary of State Hails Negotiations
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (06.01.12)
Well our Madam Secretary of State has concluded that negotiations between the PA and Israel are the way to resolve the divisions between them. Where has she been the last 7 decades? Duh! Negotiations began in the early 1990s ( maybe earlier)and have continued - off and on - to this very day. But ,as in doing the tango, it requires 2 parties. While the Israelis have sacrificed their lives for peace, the Pals have sacrificed their lives for war.If the Pals had placed as much effort and "treasure" into building a peace and a growing economy as the Jewish state, there would be peace, stability and economic growth for both nations at the present time.
6. There's no chance that direct talks...
Reuven   (06.01.12)
will lead to an enduring peace. The Palis have a society that is enmeshed in Jihad...murder. We must be strong at all times. Concessions on our part are viewed as weaknesses by our enemies.
7. Clinton should clarify that 2 states include Jewish one
Sam ,   Canada   (06.01.12)
There is not going to be successful negotiations if the Palestinians just try to BS the West. The Palestinians keep taking naive Western leaders for a ride. Clinton should have the guts to tell Palestinians that peace leads to acceptance of a Jewish majority Israel. Otherwise, what's the point of talks?
8. Never been to smart
Robert ,   Farmington ,Wv   (06.01.12)
She's never been to smart to begin with , she has no business being the secretary of state. she could not keep order inside her family you really believe she can keep order outside her family. May the lord forever bless the state of Israel......
9. More &more americans now see israel as a major liability
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (06.01.12)
10. HC still dreams of being president of the UN with total
Bernie ,   Erehwon, USA   (06.01.12)
global power - one up from Obumer so she can order Israel about. Her ego is only matched by her presumption. She also excells at closing her eyes to evil. Cohabitation with Sick Willie gave her endless practice.
11. Let's be real!
Anshel ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.01.12)
U.S. Secretary of State deserves grade F in history. In modern time there were 3 kind of piece negotiations and treaties: a) by bombing the enemy to submission (Germany and Japan and recently Serbia). Those two countries signed a peace treaty dictated to them with a long term effect. b) peace treaties were negotiated and implemented after a long war of attrition, where neither side could achieve substantive gains. The result was that "the weaker" side became unhappy and and aggressively pursued to change the peace treaty. That what exactly happened after World War I and it is happening to Iran. c) peace treaty was pursued in order to conquer and divide (Munich peace treaty in 1938, Germany and the Soviet Union in 1939.) Those peace treaties have a very short life span. Israel is probably the only country on this planet that was deprived not one, not twice, but 3 times to score a decisive and final victory over the the Arab countries (1956, 1967 and 1973). Israel is also probably only country that after defeating the aggressors is being asked to return territory that is rightfully belongs (Est Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria) Well, fellow Americans, you will have a great opportunity to change the course of U.S. foreign policy visa Israel this coming November. An obvious choice emerged on the horizon.
12. Action vs talk
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (06.01.12)
Translated, Clinton's statements mean: My Muslim Brotherhood friends would not like it if Israel attacked Iran, and our voters might be upset. So, wait and do nothing until after the election, after which Obama's "undying commitment to Israel's security" will die a quick death, and Obama will throw Israel under the bus.
13. Clinton can be ignored. She and Obama
DT ,   TA Israel   (06.01.12)
are "toothless" politically
14. Hillary does an absolutely wonderful job.
(06.01.12)
Everywhere she goes, she represents the United States of America flawlessly. She's doing her best to let the Israelis and Palestinians know the USA does care about both of them and our wishes are that a solution for this stalemate be found quickly. Thank you Hillary for your support.
15. America should intervene in Syria
(06.01.12)
America should intervene in Syria....democracy, freedom, massacre of innocents, yada yada, blah blah...oops no OIL unlike Libya...sorry !
16. ms. clinton as clueless as carter, bush & mr clinton.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.01.12)
Demand everything from Israel, close your eyes to FACT that arabs will never negotiate in good faith.
17. Perhaps we should first ensure that we have peace with Egypt
Yaniv ,   Israel   (06.01.12)
If a 30-year peace with Egypt is fragile, then how can we even begin to think that the ethnic thieves called Palestinians will honor any peace agreement? We are supposed to live in peace with a fraudulent people whose name they stolen (Philistine) means invader, a nickname the Israelites coined for the invader Goliath and his people. Palestine would translate as Invadia. We are supposed to live in peace with a neighbor called Invadia?
18. #9 More and more Palestinian Christians support Israel
Yaniv ,   Israel   (06.01.12)
You don't even know a small fraction of what's the binding agents of U.S. - Israeli relations. America is addicted to Israel for a list of reason that wouldn't fit a Chinese Phonebook. Israel is Americas number 1 ally, not the UK. That's not gonna change because of a one-term president like Obama.
19. Direct Talks = Suicide
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (06.01.12)
In diplomatic language, "direct talks" means that Israel will have to sacrifice land and its strategic positions while the Arabs give up nothing tangible. When the other side, i.e. the Arabs, act illogically and have only one motive in mind (undermine and destroy the Jewish presence in our ancestral home) there is nothing to "talk" about. You cannot "directly talk" with irrational people.
20. Hillary
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (06.01.12)
You are very smart but seem not to understand the realities of our region.I am living here for almost 50 years and will admit that I think the Barak has got it right this time. I can summarise the whole situation very simply, BETTR SAFE THAN SORRY.
21. Why blame Clinton
MC ,   UK   (06.01.12)
Why all this talk back cry against Hilary Clinton? She's only responding to Ehud Barak's statement about a unilateral withdrawal Ehud Barak is the real problem! He should have gone years ago he's a disaster. Why would Bibi keep in in power? We need to worry about this? The Palestinians will never make peace and the 2 state solution is dead. Why don't people wake up to what's really going on? Israel will be thrown under a bus while we sleep!!
22. It seems like Barak wants to give up ALL of Israel and
(06.01.12)
be done with it! It’s definitely time for him to go! Ehud Barak is an embarrassing and dangerous apologist, defeatist coward. It was he who offered Yasser Arafat, Yimach Shimo V’zichro the entire East Jerusalem along with 98 percent of the territories the sad world insists on calling ‘occupied.’ It was only b’chasdai hash-m that that Arafat’s heart was hardened and he refused to accept this offer, instead launching the second intafada. Had this not happened, Israel would be in an even more precarious position than they currently are. With friends and “leaders” like Barak, Israel does not need enemies. Barak, its time to leave politics-for the greater good!
23. FORTUNATELY THERE ARE SUBSTITUTES FOR CLINTON
stude ham   (06.01.12)
24. who is bigger?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.01.12)
Who is the bigger fool? Barak who turned Lebanon over to Hezbolla, did his best to give Assad control of Golan and half of Israel's water, who helped put Hamas in charge of Gaza and then protected Hamas from destruction at the hands of the IDF? Or Clinton, who spent 3 years attacking Israel, who until a year ago worshipped Assad, who suported Bahrain as they slaughtered doctors and nurses, and who together with Obama helped Ahmadinejad destroy the Green Revolution?
25. Somewhere a Village is . . .
The Prophetess ,   SC, USA   (06.01.12)
missing a yenta. And the yenta is named Hillary. Mrs. Clinton, please: go home to your placid domicile and bake brownies. Leave hardball politics to the real players. You are irrelevant.
26. This is how Israelis treat their only friend
DA ,   --   (06.01.12)
Is it any wonder they only one friend given all the venom directed at the US Secretary of State? Soon, Israel will lose US support. Anyone who doesn't see this is being extremely short-sighted.
27. No substitute for annexing liberated Judea & Samaria.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.01.12)
Israel needs to return to the pre-Oslo Disaster days when we were highly respected by friend and foes alike. In those days, Israel flatly refused to talk to terrorists. We need to return to that sane and self respecting policy. Let us end the ludicrous charade of pretending the terrorist P.A. are "peace partners". There is no substitute for annexing liberated Judea and Samaria; our more than 3,500 year old ancestral heartland.
28. to no 9
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (06.01.12)
Oh really ? Could you just define and prove in a few simple facts how is it, that it is Israel being a major liability to the world ? Surely you know and remember, that the palestinians still depend totally on Israel for almost all of their needs...Who do you think believes you ? Not even you..
29. # 26 LOL Better tell the US Congress
American ,   United States   (06.01.12)
They, like all Americans adore Bibi, so do I. obama the gay pro muslim prez will be out on his ass after the election.
30. # 27 Chaim yesssssssssssssssss!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (06.01.12)
