1. Here they go again!!!!
Rozie   (06.02.12)
George Soros, Israeli leftists and the cronies of Obama are stirring up the heat in Israel once again. I hope the citizens of Israel understand the currents that are pushing all this.
2. Just not to Charedim!!!
Steve ,   NY USA   (06.02.12)
As long as they don't get any of this money whatsoever. I'm not racist either, just that as a religious group they do not have the right to exist in Israel. Oh! I forgot though, we need their assistance to lobby the US government to stand by Israel. And give billions of my taxpayer dollars to help the IDF. The Israeli Government sucks money from the US and then claims that Charedim don't earn their way???!!! Ha.
3. These Lazy people should work harder to make more money
hadad ,   U.K   (06.02.12)
instead of banging on their pots and pans like mad. they are in a better situation than most of people in Europe. They are lucky to have what they have in a country fighting enemies every single day from the day it was establish.
4. The douchebags are back!
jeff ,   ranaana, israel   (06.02.12)
"We don't want a government of cutbacks" "We don't want a government of privatization" "The government continues to impose taxes and limitations regardless of the fact that they are not necessary." Yea that makes total sense. No spending cuts, no privatization, no taxes. These definitely are Israel's best and brightest.
5. does anybody know what social justice is supposed to mean?
zionist forever   (06.03.12)
People seem to think that if its in the name of social justice then there is no such thing as an unreasonable demand. The social justice lot have just got out of control. It all started out over housing and alot of people could relate to that and its why so many initially turned out then the demands just got more and more. Later when it was announced Strauss sold their chocolate bars cheaper in the US than Israel there were some people who were out with their social justice banners. They have come out protesting against the rich because they are rich and want equal distribution of wealth. Now they are against they are moaning the government doesn't represent them, they are against privatization and the best bit they are against racism ( obviously referring to the illegals from Sudan & Eritrea ) but they have also been out protesting demanding their deportation. This lot just don't seem to understand that governments are elected to decide how to run the economy and what their policies should be not a bunch of socialists in Tel Aviv who want something for nothing and despise rich people because they are rich and they are not. Its an attitude that exists mostly I think because its only in the last 10-20 years we finally killed socialism in this country. Before then government owned everything and government looked after us all like we were children and as a result taxes had to be so high getting rich was impossible so we were all poor but we were at least equal and there were no evil tycoons sent by the devil himself.
6. the results of the fascist right wing goverment
Haim ,   ta   (06.03.12)
Guess thats what you get when you have a right wing coalition with Shass on board.
7. Guns or Butter
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (06.03.12)
No country on earth has unlimited resources, so all MUST CHOOSE how many resources to dedicate to war and how many resources to dedicate to a better society. Since all countries have very limited resources, it is a zero sum game, What you spend for war decreases the quality of life of most people in the country. Make your choices - more war toys or better life. Personally I choose a better life and the heck with all the expensive and useless war toys and talk of worthless war. No country on earth has ever profited from war over the long term - eventually the blow-back happens.
8. The anti-social protests
Miche Norman ,   Hod Hasharon   (06.03.12)
The reason that the government has a deficit that requires taxes to be paid is a combination of Netanyahu not having the backbone last year to stand up to the anti-social protests, saddling us with paying for free kindergardens for people who don't want to take responsibility for their own children, and the anti-business atmosphere that has been created which has slashed companies' profits meaning that they pay less taxes. With 80 billion wiped off our pension funds that means less taxes for the government and less money for us when we retire With tens of thousands of people having lost their jobs because of the anti-social protests they have at least increased leisure time for some people.
9. Birds of a feather flock together.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.03.12)
These people should join their confused friends in Tahrir Square. At least the Egyptians have an excuse for throwing out stability and replacing it with the islamic Brotherhood. The excuse, their stupid. What are the Israeliies excuse. Oh yeah, they are also stupid.
10. #6, lame post
Jake   (06.03.12)
I seem to recall that Shas was also part of the coalition in the government of Yitzhak Rabin, whom the Far Left try to expropriate for themselves and whose memory they exploit to bash their political opponents.
11. You don't live in Israel, so you don't know what's it like.
daniel ,   tel-aviv   (06.03.12)
Its very hard to live here. And its not hard because of the constant threat of war. That's something we learn as children to deal with. Its hard because the Israeli government is sucking the middle class dry. Taxes are too high. Commodities such as food, cloth, and a place to live is impossible to afford on a NIS4,000-NIS7000 salary. Most of the Israelis that you see in Coffee shops are just drinking a cup of coffee. Most Israelis I know work extremely hard, many young people have 1-2 jobs, if they can find it. And they still have to pay student loan, serve their country for one month of the year, and pay heigh taxes. Its not about the money, its about having a good quality of life. And the quality of life here sucks. There are Israelis that are making a lot of money, but there is also a shrinking middle class in Israel. Its a problem that needs to be address and not dismissed.
12. Social justice is code for "pay me to do nothing"..
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.03.12)
"Social justice" is one of those meaningless terms bandied about by leftists. It's code for "Pay me to do nothing" or "Work very hard so I don't have to do anything". It's more of the old "soak the rich" rubbish that destroyed Greece and every other state that embraces it. Israel will not fall for this evil nonsense.
13. Work more?
Betti ,   Israel   (06.03.12)
I already work six days a week from 8- 6:30 and can't make ends meet. I only pay the rent. bills, food and school fees for my daughter. I spend money on nothing else and you dare to call us lazy!
14. They should add: "We want to become like Greece"!!
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.03.12)
15. They want an Israeli debt crisis as well
Daniel ,   Daniel565@chello.nl   (06.03.12)

17. Cut the size of government and cut all
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.03.12)
fees for licenses, tax stamps, permits and anything else the ministries make us pay for. Less laws and less government "workers". Eliminate welfare, except for those that are physically unable to work. No more child allowances for those that never served in the security forces only.
18. If they want social justice, tell them to
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (06.03.12)
shut up and get a job and do for themselves. Independence is the only true form of social justice!
19. Must be nice weather again
Danny   (06.03.12)
20. #1 - Rozie
Devorah   (06.03.12)
I don't think they do understand. And even if they did, they're so self absorbed that it wouldn't matter.
21. #3 and #13 Work more?
CT Cohen ,   Tzfat, Israel   (06.14.12)
