The horrendously high tax rate is one of the reasons I won't make aliyah. Not to mention the taxes on imports. Getting my car into the country would cost more than the car itself! Motorcycle prices are twice as much as the US & car insurance is through the roof. Israel is too much of a "socialist utopia" for me to afford. I don't see how some people can afford to live there.
