1. YAY
. ,   .   (06.05.12)
Theese soldiers have one of the best records in the army and are a great kiddush hashem its nice to finally see the real side of TRUE charadim and orthodox not just people who dress like them
2. question:
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (06.05.12)
What will happen say twenty years down the road when a charadi man becomes a general in the IDF (it can and will happen) and he orders the entire army to observe the Shabbat? (obviously this will not apply to essential activities as known to halacha)
3. #2 "twenty years down the road"
(06.05.12)
Are you kidding? Haredim will make sure that everyone observes the Shabbat AS SOON AS they would (G-d forbid) join this an anti-Torah anti-Jewish army. That's why the secular government do not want them there in the first place. They're just making believe they do and threatening and what not to calm the secular, but they really don't want them.
4. #2 Arabs will beg for peace ?

And real-estate swindlers from Tel-Aviv north and so will be gone to Berlin, Nice or San Francisco, to be never heard of again.
5. Haredim in IDF
Danny ,   London UK   (06.07.12)
During many years teaching in Haredi boys schools I noted that the most popular costume for Purim is not Mordechai, as you might expect, but IDF soldiers. Given the free choice, many, if not most Haredi boys would choose some form of military service, allowing for their Haredi way of life, combining Torah learning with military training. Protecting the Holy Land is also a major Mitzvah.
