31. Say Yes to 2 states!!!!
Moshe ,   US   (06.06.12)
You've got Jordan...and you've got Israel-2 states..simple solution.
32. YES TO 2 STATES
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (06.06.12)
Jordan & Israel If Abbas wants any in addition, he must learn to whistle "Dixie" while he sleeps
33. #7 - No need to wait
BEN JABO (MACHAL ,   ISRAEL   (06.06.12)
The 1967 "borders" that Abbas is talking about, are in fact the 1949 Rhodes Armistice lines aka/ Greenline When he say's 1967, he's talking aobut PRE-1967, so it's back to Rhodes again, which Arabs ignored every time that attacked us after Rhodes was in effect in 1949

You stated " Israel can also annex Judea and Samaria and repatriate the Arabs illegally squatting there to Jordan, country of their citizenship." First, I’m sure you understand that the international community would never recognize this annexation. EVER! Not even the USA. Thus, an annexation would render Israel as the only country in the world with unrecognized borders - basically forever. As for your suggestion for repatriating the Arabs to Jordan, may I suggest that you do not use cattle cars – as it would really be in bad taste.
37. A few conditions
Ron ,   OC US   (06.06.12)
First off, no to 67 borders, no so called refugees, and you musr recognize Israel as a Jewish state and accept Arab Israelis that are squatters and otherwise illegal. Your state will be largely demilitarized and will marry into Jordan for trade and education. There are some neighborhoods in Jerusalem that will be part of the PA state.
38. EXCEPT, YOU DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF PEACE!!
Riva ,   Israel   (06.06.12)
looking at the way you treat your own people as well as instilling the spirit of hatred into your young children, seems to me that your people are not capable of peace!! You simply cannot be trusted to keep your word....when you can't resist the impluse to blow yourselfs up along with the many inncocent Jews in the way, you are psycopaths! And psyopaths just don't change! i am absolutely certain that no matter what Israel would give you, within a few days, you'd be at it again with terrorism because you have absolutely no control over the murderous apetites of your people!
39. Comes from the man who every month refuses to begin talks?
Avi   (06.06.12)
Last month alone he refused peace talks with no pre conditions. And what 'sacrifice' is he referring to exactly? Losing Jordan as part of british mandate of palestine region? I'm sure he'll get it back. They already tried once.
40. It's either big Israel or big nothing at the end. Dr.Adolf-

Abu-Mazen can return to Moscow to work on his "Proffessor of Shoa denial"- dissertation. That could keep him going for some time.

Bertram ,   London, UK   (06.06.12)
An excellent solution, Sarah B, except for one or two minor problems: 1. The Palestinians residing in 'Judea and Samaria' do not have Jordanian citizenship. 2. Thus the repatriation - sorry, expulsion - of these Palestinians to Jordan is an offer to which the response by Jordan is likely to be a resounding 'thanks but no thanks'. 3. Ethnic cleansing is poor PR.
42. To Sam: Jewry Must Become More Aggressive
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (06.06.12)
To Sam: right on. Israel has the high ground and can go back into the Strip and Pales controlled areas..at will. It has the tanks, F15Is, F16s, artillery, missiles (Popeyes), Jerichos, not to forget it's 500 nukes, now supplemented by the latest Dolphin. Abbas, Ashrawi, Fayyad, Erekat, etc., know darn well, that Israel is the 5th mightest country on the planet. They are NOT, WW2, hapless/feckless and unarmed Jews, going to gas chambers. Abbas circles around the issues by going to the UN, EU, Economic Forums..etc., for pity AND support. He understands w/o the US..he is handcuffed...but Arafat told the Pales to keep on pushing, and pushing and pushing. Notice he doesn't talk about the right of return (not a right, but an agreement, per UN242 which Abbas has already dismissed as "moot". The Arab Spring can go either way..time will tell. But, Egypt knows what if, what if Israel bombs the Dam and moves forces into the ?Sinai ( Merkavas/Abrams, etc.), which now have laser as shields. (Unlike 73), Syria is imploding..and Assad will fall soon..Will the Sunnis ally with Iran, I wonder? The land is disputed caus the Arabs fought 7 wars, and lost all. The rest is history. Jordan is the real Palestine under the Mandate for Palestine..a homeland for we Jews..its in the language. Frankly, Abbas is not as clever as he thinks..repeating old, tired cliches. But, Israel has to unify..black refugee and Ethopian problems notwithstanding. The "Cottage Cheese" protests are absurd...Labor strikes cost Israel 500m shekels day. Israel's economy is booming...while Europe s Euro is sliding and nations are bankrupt. Okay, so the govt should consider public housing for the real needy..like our own section 8. with modifications. The Allon Plan with adjustments should be considered..give autonomy to the Arabs., but no social benefits. Israel could declare a partial marshal law...to stop the defeatests and retreatest..5th column and Peace Now types. It is in a war for its survival...and should know that the Muslims will show it no sympathy or mercy. For proof, look at Syria. Bibi and Olmert are eyeing the US constantly and are bending over backwards to not aggravate Obama and crew. One ans..we Americans must vote for Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich (Sec of State), Hold them to promise to move embassy to Jerusalem...providing F35 Eages will aid. Israel and Diaspora Jews must get more aggressie..and stop being so timid. (Invites attacks).
43. But MANY ARABS DO NOT WANT to be in the PA STATE
Gofer ,   Israel   (06.06.12)
Given that the so-called PA justice system which gives the death penalty for selling land to Jews or for even speaking out against unjust political policies, i'm wondering why "free nations" would want to support this KGB-racist style "democracy." We who live over the green line like me and other Israelis hear personally from Arabs we come in contact with that they would perfer Israeli rule, but they are AFRAID TO SPEAK UP FOR FEAR OF BEING LYNCHED OR KILLED! They view Israeli law/society as more humane and want to be a part of it! Many Arabs actually get along well with Jews, and this whole affair of "occupation, etc." is created by leader-thugs who often rip off the big budgets and get very wealthy and powerful while the little Arab guy has to put up with all their bullying! AND the Israeli who was once friendly with them has to stay away. There was a time before the so called Oslo when Arabs would use the Kupot and other services of the Jewish Yishuvs in peace with Jews and do daily friendly business. Things were going great for both sides and everyone was actually happy! Even today, I know personally that there are "underground" businesses with daily active interaction of Jews and Arabs who like each other-so what i'm saying is there really CAN BE peace if the LEADERS WEREN'T IN THE WAY TO CREATE A FANTASY FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT!

1. I suggest that you read Jordan's 1954 Citizenship Law, which conferred Jordanian citizenship on all West Bank Arabs and their progeny irrevocably. The Jordanians have tried to revoke that law quite a few times, but challenges to such revocation in The Hague have met with success. Why don't you ask a West Bank Arab what passport he travels on? How many countries are in the habit of issuing passports to non-citizens? 2. Oops! I guess it is repatriation after all, isn't it? All sovereign states have the right to control which non-citizens may and may not remain within its borders. Jordan may not like it, but there is nothing they can do about it. 3. So, what do you think about the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the Arab and Moslem lands in which they had lived for centuries? Most were expelled with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Where is your expression of outrage? Are you that much of a hypocrite? THAT was ethnic cleansing. There are plenty of Arabs living in Israel. There are no Jews in Algeria. Or Libya. Precious few in Tunisia. A handful in Iraq. A tiny handful in Yemen. None in Jordan. Only a small community in Morocco. Et cetera, et cetera. But that doesn't seem to tweak you at all, does it? I guess your showing sympathy would be bad "PR" for whatever cause you espouse, eh, Bertie?

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.06.12)
Ask me if I care what the international community does or does not like. The international community stood by and watched as six million Jews perished. 'nuff said. No cattle cars. No selections, gas chambers or crematoria, either. At least on our side of the border. I don't know what Jordan might do, although if their treatment of ersatz "Palestinians" in the past is any clue, there might be a legitimate cause for concern. But that would be the international community's problem, wouldn't it? Israel has an absolute right to exercise sovereignty, and that includes expelling undesirable aliens. Goodness, the United States does it all the time, right? As do many other countries. So what is your problem? (Besides anti-Semitism and hatred of the State of Israel, I mean. We recognize that problem of yours.)

Sarah B, I am surprised that someone as cynical as you should express such naivite. First of all, you seem to think that because one country throws out a bunch of people another country is obliged to let them in. Secondly, I know personally of at least one EU country which can issue a travel document for a non-EU citizen to enable unfettered travel within the EU. Finally, why not just accept that you want Israel to join the club of the other ethnic cleansers? At least, be honest like your - possible - hero, Jabotinsky. He at least acknowledged the Arab claims to Palestine but recognised that the Jews had a need to colonise (his word) as a consequence of hundreds of years of persecution

First paragraph; fifth line -- the beginnning should read "have NOT met with success." Mea culpa.

1. A travel document is not quite the same thing as a passport, now, is it? Travel documents are routinely issued by various governments, most commonly in order to allow stateless persons or refugees to study in a foreign country. But that is not the same thing as a passport, and West Bank Arabs hold Jordanian passports. 2. Your charge of "ethnic cleansing" is both absurd and unfounded. Israel has plenty of Arab citizens, Druze citizens, Bedouin citizens, Circassian citizens who enjoy all the rights and privileges of citizenship, although not all of the obligations. Judea and Samaria are non-sovereign, and were acquired by Israel in the course of fighting a defensive war against Jordan. Israel is free to settle, retain and even annex the West Bank. When that happens, the Jordanian citizens who illegally reside therein will be repatriated. That is not ethnic cleansing; not even close. It is simply repatriating undesirable aliens -- seven decades of unremitting terror and thousands of dead and maimed Jews is what has made them undesirable, and they have only themselves to blame. You remain strangely silent on the subject of the fate of Jews in Arab and Moslem lands following Israel's victory in the War of Independence. Cat got your tongue, Bertie, or are you just not intereested in addressing the subject of REAL ethnic cleansing? The Jews were perfectly happy to have a two-state solution; they accepted partition. The Arabs did not. They chose to go to war instead. They are the architects of their dilemma, and have rejected a two-state solution on multiple occasions including, most recently, one which would have awarded them 95% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a capital. They chose to start the second intifada instead. Not a wise decision, but it was their decision, and they must live with the consequences. No more bites at the apple. Israel has had quite enough of endless war and unrelenting terror. Land for peace hasn't worked out all that well, so we know that the ersatz "Palestinians" are not to be trusted. Just look at Gaza.
51. Oh Abbas!Catch up!!!

A good try, Sarah, my old dear - but, alas, not good enough. Allow me: 1. The particular travel document I had in mind was actually issued to an Israeli - Jewish - citizen. 2. Even in the case of a 'defensive' war there is no conventional international right to 'repatriate' a population. I presume you are able to support your claim of illegal residence in 'Judea and Samaria' on the part of the 'ersatz' Palestinians with reference to relevant statutes or international conventions. Let's get one thing clear. The maltreatment - and expulsion - of Jews in Arab lands was a dreadful. OK? Secondly, you appear to think that descendents should pay for the unwise decisions of their forebears. Thirdly, you have conveniently ignored my mention of Jabotinsky. Well, no more than we would expect of you, Sarah B. Don't let the facts spoil a good story.
