I left Israel years ago. Real estate is very expensive. It's insane! No problem to live nearby haredim, it's Israel, so it's fine. Why contractors, government, don't build small, popular, low cost flats to people like us?

Both are now university graduates with professions. How are YOUR children doing? Are my taxes enough to support your children while the men learn Torah (even if they're not really capable of understanding what they learn) or do they have a job to go to every day and study Torah in their free time, the way the Rambam and other REAL Torah sages did? Contractors build for profit, if people are willing to pay the price they demand (which is out of your price range), you soluction should be simple: GET A JOB!
