1. we call on the Friends of Freedom
(06.08.12)
We are the "Friends of Freedom". If you have Oil we form a grand "coalition of the willing" instantly (even without UN mandate) like Iraq and invade with great glee and enthusiasm to bring you "democracy & freedom". Freedom in Libya, freedom in Iraq, but....errr... no oil ?...sorry, you can shove it...period..ha ha !
2. dhimmi instead of bearded goat
(06.08.12)
Kofi Annan peace plan is dead & buried. The old bearded goat bleated & emittted a lot of hot air without any results. USA should have sent ugly dhimmi Begum Katherine Ashton as emssiary instead of Kofee ? Perhaps Assad would be terrified of her ugly mug and cave in instantly !
3. Secularism will defeat & destroy sectarianism in Syria !
christian arab ,   nyc   (06.08.12)
Assad is not perfect, however he is far better than the street criminals and terrorists who want to replace him and take syria backwards hundreds of years!
4. The reason for support
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.08.12)
Is because neither Russia, Iran or China see anything wrong with Syria's actions. They have done the same and even worse, and will do it again and again to stay in power.

6. No surprise - fascist countries sticking together
Mark ,   Maale Adumim, Israel   (06.09.12)
Russia massacred Chechens by thousands, destroyed Grozny with impunity - how can they be against massacre of fellow fascist and long-time client?

8. Syria YNET should explain
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (06.09.12)
YNET should explain the military and cultural signifigance of the 2 million Alawites that control 18 million Sunni Syrians moshe
9. #3 sadly you are wrong
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.10.12)
There are many ways to save Syria, but since they all involve some advantage to Israel they will never come to be. If the Russians agree, the Wahabis will execute the bloody dictator Assad, and then genocide the millions of Alawi and Shia in Syria and Lebanon. The Christians and Druze may survive the first wave of executions, but who knows for how long. The people with the best chance are the Turks (who are protected by Turkey) and Kurds (who will join Kurdistan unless Erdogan kills them). In the near future the safest place in the Middle East for Druze, Christian, Alawi and Shia will be Israel.
10. @9 sadly for idiots like you are, Assad also is elected
Miron ,   USA   (06.11.12)
immature people like you are, cowards, and mercenaries might get excited by the opportunities in Syria. But that's where it all ends. And if you think you have a bright future, check out fate of US Vietnam mercenaries. Their scalps are drying on the walls of CIA, to ensure those responcible can seep Margheritas and sleep at night without worry about Haague.
11. As foretold!
John Prophet   (06.11.12)
The head case that runs Iran believes he speaks with and gets direction from Allah, the words, promises and threats of men are meaningless to him. Pure Evil rules the day in Iran and Syria, as it did with Nazi Germany. Evil of this magnitude can not be negotiated with, it must be destroyed. As it was with Nazi Germany so must it be with Iran and Syria. Failure to burn this Evil now will only allow it to circle the globe! It is written,
12. Syria was never a nation state
Raphael ,   Netanya   (06.11.12)
To keep their strategic advantages, Russia and Iran will not waver a second to help Assad to establish a fortified sanctuary in the Alawite area, including Tartus harbor and Bassel el Assad airport bases. Besides, this will be a shelter against genocide for Christians, Druze and other threatened minorities
