1. Palestinians are starting the fires
Ilan   (06.08.12)
Last week in the briefing the army confirmed the claims of the residents of Yitzhar that the Arabs are initiating the conflicts and are the ones responsible for starting the fires. If you are going to report events do so honestly.
2. Israeli withdrawal is only solution that benefits both sides
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (06.08.12)
There must be justice for the Palestinian people before there can be peace.
3. Violence
Abu Yussef al Yahudi ,   Bue_Aires-Argentina   (06.08.12)
IMHO, Israel through the IDF and the Border Police, must take hard measures to stop, once and for all, this useless and senseless violence. I was viewing the video that is included in the article, and indeed, I felt a deep sense of sadness for this real Human Tragedy. In this particular case, as a human being and a Jew too, I won´t defend neither the settlers nor the Palestinian people, because I have not enough information regarding the true facts in this issue, but, again, I feel that really it is a matter of useless violence, that must be stopped RIGHT NOW, to avert further escalation, with more senseless bloodshed. Shabat Shalom
4. If the arabs lay down their weapons, violence there'll be
Get Real ,   Not the Same   (06.08.12)

5. if Israel doesn't stop incitement of violence & cant control
observer ,   Egypt   (06.08.12)
the West Bank, Jordan has to retake the territory. The world experienced how Jordan did excellently controlled the West Bank in the years 1948-1967.
6. Arab Holy Places?
Dan ,   Florida - Tel Aviv   (06.08.12)
I cannot visit Rachel's Tomb or the Tomb of the Patriarchs without armored cars and IDF protection. What the hell does anyone care about a dead and obscure Sheikh Salman el-Farsi who made no religious or historical positive contribution?
7. Sovereignty
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (06.08.12)
Many people of whatever political persuasion are stuck in a redundant mindset. The settlements in Judea and Samaria/The West Bank can grow naturally within certain zones. The Jews will not kick all the Palestinians out and the Palestinians will not kick all the Jews out. The Land will be shared. If peace, co-operation and vision dominate the region's GDP will grow to the benefit of all parties. A rising tide will lift all the boats and the petty delineations between the sects will break down.
8. Prepare concrete plans to pay "Palestinians" to leave.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.08.12)
No nation has a stronger historic and legal claim on her land than Israel has for Judea and Samaria. Now is the time to prepare concrete plans to pay "Palestinian" poseurs to leave our land forever. "Palestinians" have told pollsters, for decades, that most want to leave. Israel should help them do so.

is Israel ready to Swap Tel Aviv/Haifa for Judea and Samaria?
10. Humanitarian Movement
Zivron   (06.08.12)
The State of Israel is a State born in Human Rights Sanctuary for the Jews not a religious messianic delusion allowing any prehistoric ideologies fundamentalistic Judaism or fundamentalistic Islam or nationalisms to take hold. One State for Two People's with the Jews and the USA controlling external security. An interim Two State Remedy is still feasible.
11. PEACE WITHOU ARABS
George ,   Washington, USA   (06.09.12)
Let the Palestinians move out of Judea and Samaria and Gaza.(West Bank and Gaza). Then peace will reign in those areas. That is for sure.
12. Israel has to remove all illegal arab settlers
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.09.12)
from our liberated Jewish territories. All of the land we liberated in 1967 has to become part of Israel. All foreigners helping the arab terrorists should themselves be targeted by the security forces. They are anti Semites aiding terrorism. The same goes for the Israeli leftists.
13. #9. Joking? This is our land. No swaps.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.09.12)
#9 Joking right? This land is ours and has been ours for more than 3,500 years. There will be no swaps. The answer is to pay "Palestinians" to leave our land forever. They are already leaving Judea and Samaria by the thousands annually, without Israeli compensation. Most want to leave and have been telling pollsters that for decades. Israel should make concrete plans to pay them to leave.

So, the Army confirmed that the settlers from Yitzhar were protecting their fields? Find “Yitzhar” and “Orif (aka Urif)” on Google Earth. And look closely - you can clearly see the olive groves in question – the ones that were started on fire. You’ll find that this orchard is built around the village of Orin and is nearly a half-mile from the settlement of Yitzhar. That’s right, the settlement of Yitzhar. Where last November, the Education Ministry shut down this settlements High school and Yeshiva because of their continued and ongoing involvement in violence against the Palestinians, Border Guards and Security forces. Indeed, several members of this settlement are suspected of “price-tag” attacks, not to mention their suspected involvement in the burning of the Yasouf mosque. And now we are left with a question: Why would the settlers would run a half mile to put out a fire - in a orchard - that is not even theirs? Did they bring along a fire hose, fire extinguishers and wet blankets? Well, no. A more believable scenario is this: A well known and documented violent group from the settlement of Yitzhar set out one morning to torch the Palestinian’s olive grove. And when the Palestinians responded – they shot one – and - after they shot him – they handcuffed and beat him. Further, when Security forces arrived – this group responded by stoning them too – wounding one Border Guard. The settlers from Yitzhar were not protecting their grove. Indeed, the spokesman from the settlement of Yitzhar, Avraham Binyamin said it best: “One must always keep in mind that in this equation there is only one murderous side”

18. Way too much use of the word ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.12.12)
.... "lynching." To the extent I am aware, the only people who have ever been lynched have been Jews, and always at the hands of the ersatz "Palestinians."
19. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.12.12)
Sorry, but Israel is a little disinclined to continue to reward the ersatz "Palestinians." They've been on the losing end of six wars, all started by the Arabs. Israel withdrew from Gaza. Where's the peace? Arabs don't know the meaning of the word -- just look at Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain .... Arabs aren't INTERESTED in peace. All they are INTERESTED in is jihad and martyrdom. Well, the ersatz "Palestinians" are free to martyr themselves ... somewhere else. We've had as much of you as anyone can stand. Violence and terror are hard-wired into your DNA. Bunch of knuckle-draggers, all of you. You are very definitely spending too much time at the gaming tables. It has addled your alleged brain.
