1. Live From Homs Syria
Syria Live ,   Inter, Nets   (06.10.12)
Intense gunfire and shelling continue to pummel residential housing in Homs as Syrian military try to cleanse the rest of the district: http://bambuser.com/v/2731175
2. stupid
albrecht ,   rishon lezion   (06.10.12)
after a year. since the israeli gov was since the beginning of the clashes in syria a pro assad supporter, now they turn to the syrian people.
3. Kofi Annan peace plan is dead
(06.10.12)
Kofi Annan peace plan is dead & buried. The old bearded goat emittted a lot of hot air without any results. Dont expect American help, only lip service unless America gets some benefit. No oil in Syria unlike Libya or Iraq. And when mushroom clouds rise over Tel-Aviv & Israel, Obama will still be talking of sanctions & "all options are on the table".
4. its not a question of oil
Yisraeli   (06.10.12)
but rather who are the elements fighting assad, no longer western minded democratic reform seekers. But imported Jihadis who seek to bring down the secular regime and replace it with a sharia brotherhood regime. Thats why the west is holding back, it learned from Libya and saw just who the rebels were. Israel is best to shut up and mind its own affairs whilst keeping a sharp eye on whats happening there.
5. If syrian Victims come to power, they willhave same attitude
Alan ,   SA   (06.10.12)
to Israel as Assad Regime....No amount of Jewish or Israeli help of whatever kind will make them change the "Itbach Yahud" (kill the Jews) hatred their religion has as its central tenet. It is a principle of their faith and confession.
6. Watch and Learn
M Carr ,   Baltimore, USA   (06.10.12)
The Syrian situation is so ironic. Syria, Lebanon, Iran and others have been trying to encircle Israel for years and have succeeded for the most part. Their plan is to do to the Israelis what is happening to the Syrians. I disagree with those that call for something to be done to stop the slaughter in Syria. The world needs to witness the Muslim World’s way of handling things when left to their own devices. So, to all the naïve, left-wing, Muslim sympathizers living in Israel I say watch and learn. You could be next on the Caliphate hit list.
7. Axis of non capitulation is more likely....
Chris.B ,   Australia   (06.10.12)
the real culprits of this mess are Israel its lacky the U.S and the sub players Turkey and Saudia Arabia These shortsighted regimes are trying to take out Assad in the dream that Syria will embrace Israel or America and break away from Russia and Iran.Everybody knows Syria is pivotal for Iran in blunting Israels power projection.Russia also knows what is going on and is keen to keep its position in Syria.

I don't know what you are drinking, but if you believe that the US is a "lacky" of Israel then you are totally ignorant of the happenings in the ME.Indeed, the opposite of your opinion regarding the actions of the US,Turkey and the Saudis is happening : NOTHING! That is the proper action:NOTHING!Allowing both sides to kill each other off will create a stable country free of those who hate the Jew and the other peoples of Europe and the US, and give the talented Syrian people an opportunity to establish a peaceful country and one that could be an actual source for an economic emergence in that region.
9. To Netanyahu ...an empty talking head
Al   (06.10.12)
and so dear sir oh wise one what did you do lately to ensure Israels Jewish survival? Lets hear oh wise one.. What have you done sir? Nothing..you are following the camatose Sharon to your own political demise. Your deeds will be quickly forgotten. Your name will be despised. You have sown the seeds for your own demise as a PM.
10. Tell the truth Bibi!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (06.10.12)
Syrian government. It is being aided by Iran and Hezbollah, but the rebels are nothing but Al Qaeda Islamic extremists backed by the Saudis!! I would rather the somewhat secular government of Assad, then the Islamic extremists that will enforce Sharia laws and step up their attacks on Israel!
11. #2 who is the stupid one?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.10.12)
As predicted, people like you will soon say that Assad and Mubarak are Zionists who served in Sayeret with Netanyahu and Barak. Let me say it again: the Saudi sponsored revolution in revolution has nothing to do with Israel. It is a religious struggle between psychotic Wahabi and Shia and a struggle for money between Saudi Arabia and Iran. And if you really are in Rishon you better pray that the IDF does its work well, because if he can Assad will do a Saddam: attack Israel to prove that Saudi Arabia is a Zionist organization attacking Syria at the behest of the Elders of Zion. (by the way, I wrote this before I read #7 the man who thinks with his down under.)
12. Meddling
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.10.12)
Pity, Rabin, Peres and Barak failed to return the Golan to its "rightful" owners in return for peace. Remember you only make peace with your enemies. Keep those propellers spinning. Israel should keep its big mouth shut about what is going on Syria. No matter what happens in Syria it will not be good for israel.

18. Syrian refugees soon to flood Israel
Rudy Haugeneder ,   Victoria, BC, Canada   (06.12.12)
As this Syrian civil war intensifies, it is reasonable to assume Israel may soon be flooded by refugees, from both sides of the conflict, and especially after one side emerges the winner. Is Israel prepared? Will Syrian refugees be treated as badly as Black refugees/workers in Israel?
