Here in the UK we have national exams for 16 year olds and at one time I taught the syllabus for the Judaism section of the Religious Education exam. Religious education is taught in all schools, unlike in the USA. For the Reform section I used the writings of a professor at Reform Hebrew Union College to avoid my Orthodox bias. The pupils were mainly non-observant. Their final view was that if you're non-observant just be honest and say so. Why pretend you're 'Reform'. Here in London 80% of afilliated Jews are nominally Orthodox, three percent are Conservative and 17 % are Reform/Liberal.
