In the past years many palaestinians have been killed in action. Therefore they too reserve the right of a honest 1 minute silence.

Yes you are right Jochi, many Palestinians have been killed in action, in the act of trying to murder innocent civilians. This minutes silence is to comemorate a murderous act on innocent Israeli sports men and women. The Palestinians actions deserve the defensive response they get. We in the civilised societies don't reward criminal acts. It would be like giving Hitler a Nobel peace prize for his war effort!
6. #1 If Olympic had a "stupid event" you would get GOLD

7. # 2, 4 6: you are very naive
Jochi Weil ,   Switzerland   (06.17.12)
You must look at the other side as well: the plaestinians rights are violated daily. Therefore they fight the imperialistic israeli soldateska. I understand that in meantime the olypic committee has oked a one minute silence for the palestinian heroes. So do not complain anymore.
8. Thank you Canada for your...

13. At Olympics there should be moment of silence in respect
Suzanne T. ,   Vancouver, Canada   (07.24.12)
I believe the fact the ''Olympic Committee'' refuses to allow a moment of silence out of respect for the slaughtered Israeli athletes, is an act of anti-semitism. The Olympic Committee should be ashamed of themselves.
