2. Clever Redefinition
Someone ,   Somewhere   (06.19.12)
Very cute, using two different definitions of "fundamentalist" and conflating them. The study you cite defines fundamentalists as politicized and aggressive, but not as "the ones who commit horrific acts of terror." You might as well define Christian fundamentalists as "those that bomb abortion clinics," then act horrified that there are 70 million of them in the US (by an entirely different definition, of course).
3. there is a saying

one mad throw a stone in a well 100 wisemen can not get it out --- it means the problem is in the issue not in the numbour ,,, yes it is only one god sends the messengers the last one was mohammad and the last holy book is kuran and jews and cristians are not infidels jehad is against the enemy who do not justify your life and freedom who steal your land and food kill your children ,, hamass do not fight for islam sake nor iran or hisballa but alquaeda is the gost of terror it is a liquid to dessolve the wars on civilians it is not god orders it is a criminal tag
4. So the nonZionists got another fear.Yesterday it was haredim
(06.19.12)
and religious Jews in general, today it's the Muslims. But the fear of haredim is stronger for those non-Zionist chilonim.
5. #2 someone
solomon ,   bklyn   (06.19.12)
It all depends what you consider “aggressive”. Surely the terrorism and murder we see today justifies that definition.
6. Don't believe the lie!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (06.19.12)
There's is no such thing as fundamental Islam: Islam is Islam--period! It's the gullible western world that are too stupid to read-up and learn about the enemy and what they truly believe in. Many were so dumb as to vote a Muslim into the White House; and, they are still believing his lies. The Islamic false religion (I've read-up on the trash that's in the unholy koran) is a plague that must be eradicated; the world needs to wake-up to the dangers of this plague and name it for what it truly is--pure evil!!! God bless, Israel; praying for the peace of Jerusalem! Christian Zionist
7. #6 is right
Steve   (06.19.12)
Even if you want to divide Islam into practicing, observant, orthodox, fundamentalist (what have you) Muslims and Muslims who are secular-leaning, the point is, devout Muslims like the late Sheikh Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri,Yusuf Al-Qaradaw, etc., practice and teach the Islam of the prophet Muhammad; the Islam of the Qur'an. A good Muslim emulates Muhammad (the 'perfect man') who, unlike Moses and Jesus was a warrior-king, a warlord. I am guessing the vast majority of Muslims worldwide understand that jihadists are good / faithful Muslims who earn their sympathy, not to mention support their cause. Thus when #2 speaks of "fundamental Christians" who bomb abortion clinics, he would be hard-pressed to find this behavior enjoined by Jesus, unlike the shaheed (martyr) who finds marching orders in the words and the deeds of Islam's founder.
8. 7/7 in London happened because...
British realist ,   UK   (06.19.12)
...we invaded Iraq. That is now accepted as fact and stated by M16 or MI5...I get mixed up. Anyway, bombing muslim countries and killing thousands of people...or using drones in Pakistan....is going to nothing but ferment more hatred and radicalise a few more people. We should leave the ME alone...and that includes Iran. Unfortunately that is unlikely. Western governments have a new excuse to pillage. 'Humanitarian' reasons. The only sensible option is to oppose all warmongerers in our midst. We have built bridges over the past few years. Muslims are not scary. Dick Cheney wannabees...are.

in the last 20 years I didn’t heard any terror act from "fundamentalist Christians" its shame to compare the two
11. what?!
chaim witz   (06.19.12)
Up to WWII people had hardly heard about muslims. Islam was an eastern religion, exotic to western eyes. So, what happened?: (1) colonization of muslim lands due to oil exploration opened Europe and US doors to muslim immigration, (2) the presence of western potencies in muslim oil lands sparked attrition between muslims and the west, (3) support from Europe and the US to Israel increased muslim anger, (4) western women decided to decrease their fertility rate, while muslim familes decided to use western comfort and facilities to increase theirs, and now they number millions, (5) a well succeeded evangelization strategy, and (6) political correctness prevents western voices opposition.

After reading your post I detect bull. Pure bull.
14. Islamist bombed anything these days.
Iranian Hunter   (06.20.12)
Except for abortion clinic probably.
15. Most westerner believe religous jew are:
Christian (not goy)   (06.20.12)
Nuts, that want to kill non-jews, except for the goyim that will be their slaves. That jewish doctors will not really help the non-jew, especially on the Sabbath. Torah teaches it is ok to cheat the non-jew. Torah teaches it is ok to lie to the non-jews.
16. Its exactly the opposite
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (06.20.12)
Only a tiny fraction of Muslims are not radical. Most of the muslims are against Israel and hate jews. You do not believe it? Then read it in the quran. In fact, regarding jews, you may compare the quran with the infamous "mein kampf".

They would call me a Zionist (One who believes in Israel's right to their God-given land)/Fundamentalist (One who simply believes in the basis truths of the Christian/Judeo Bible). In regards to those who resort to violence (depends on the situation: there are righteous wars and self-defense issues), I do not condone acts like blowing-up an abortion clinic, although I detest the agregious sin of killing the unborn child: God will judge those who participate in that hideous crime against all that should be held sacred. God will also judge, whether right or wrong, that man who decides to take drastic measures to stop the killing of those innocent babies; I'm not his judge! Now, for the acts of the murderous Crusaders and the Spanish Inquisition...these people, in my estimation, weren't Christians. They killed in the name of Roman Catholicism (Cult). My Lord, Jesus Christ is a Jew who came first for the Jew, then the Gentile. He taught love your God with all your heart, mind, soul and will; love your neighbor as yourself; love (thy enemies) and forgiveness. Those who live by the sword...will die by the sword; and, many other truths of God. Now, that's a true Christian, unlike a murderous Muslim who kills in the name of allah (false god)! Islam (false religion) does NOT believe in the same God as we Christians and Jews believe in. It would take many hours, of discussing theology, to go all all the truths. As a Christian, I love the Jews, because they gave us the oracles of God and His Son who died for the Jew first, then the gentile. Although, they rejected Christ at his first coming (we as Gentiles are blessed because of their temporay blindness to the truth); however, God hasn't forgotten his Chosen People! During the "time of Jacob's trouble" a Remant will finally come to the saving knowledge of grace , which can only be found in the shed-blood of God's only Son (on that Cross) who died for all of mankind. Without the shedding of blood...there is no remission of sins (Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world)! Soon, every knee will bow before the God-man: Jesus Christ! God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem!
18. Poor Article Choice Ynet
Sarara ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.20.12)
I’m appalled that Ynet would publish such inflammatory opinion pieces as this one. This article not only distorts and frames facts to try to prove the author’s point, but as seen in the comments below, brings extremists in their own right together for Muslim-bashing fun. It is shameful that they are given a public platform to incite hatred.

If most westerners believe all that (which they don't), most westerners are wrong. Read the meanings behind some of those phrases. Also realize that Judaism adjusts to its times, unlike Islam.

22. Fundamentel threat from jews
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (06.21.12)
Israel has a threat from fundamental jews. Just recently haredim tried to stone a jewish woman in Beth Shemesh. With the threat of fundamental islam we can manage. But Israeli authorities refuse to acknowledge the threat from haredim.
23. To Enoch @ #20!
Taz Man ,   USA   (06.21.12)
No thank you...I'm all out! I would, however, suggest some great medicine for your godless, lost soul. Jesus Christ is the perfect medicine for all spiritual ills. As He said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one gets to the Father, but my me." Unless you repent and take the proper medicine, you're bound for hell. I'll pray for you...and all those who are lost (without Jesus Christ). At judgment, you'll remember my words, as you bow before God's only Son (as Savior or Judge: choose wisely...your soul depends on it).

solomon ,   bklyn   (06.21.12)
So you are saying that G-d canceled what he told the Jews? If we are to believe you, then you should believe the Muslims who say that G-d canceled what he told the Christians when he 'sent' Mohammed. And are you also saying that the Dalai Lhama will not go to heaven? No way. Listen wisely...your soul depends on it.
25. To #24!
Taz Man ,   USA   (06.21.12)
Without Christ...one is lost--period! Christ's life fulfilled the Law, the Prophets and Psalms. I know the Truth, and it has set me free; I wish I could say the same for you; but, your own Law condemns you; man's religion, by definition, is his own attempt at attaining his own righteousness before God; that doesn't work. It is through God's grace (unmerited favor) through one's own faith in the propitiatory sacrifice of Cnrist's sacrifice upon the Cross. It's Christ's own righteousness bestowed on us, by our faith, in His shed-blood that cleanses us all of sin. Without that: one is eternally lost! Go to Jewishvoice.org if you're willing to learn something (if you have the courage to think outside of the box); if not...your loss. I'll pray for you in hope that you find the truth that will set you free from your sins. God bless! A Christian Zionist
26. #25 taz man - thank you...
solomon ,   bklyn   (06.21.12)
for your support for Israel and for your prayers. Regarding HaShem: you are 100% correct in what you say...for you. But not for me. I believe differently. I believe that Judaism is the right religion...for me, probably not for you. I believe we show our love of HaShem not by what we believe but how we behave towards our fellow human beings. I also do not believe that HaShem restricts us in the ways we have to reach Him. And you still haven't answered me about the Dalai Lhama.
27. To Solomon @ #26!
Taz Man ,   USA   (06.22.12)
Thank you. We just having differing views. I love God's Chosen People--Israel, because through them (Abraham) all nations are blessed. The Muslims' have violated God's foreign policy as is found in Genesis 12:3. I read the Torah and the New Testament; we believe in the same God the Father...but, disagree on who His Son was. Solomon, please do me a favor and read Isaiah 9:6-7. This is, in the beliefs of the Christians, describes Christ the Son of God. There are over 300+ prophecies concerning His first coming; His life fulfilled them all. There are even more concerning His Second Coming. Concerning the Dalai Lhama, he was unsaved; thus, died in his sins. He went to hell. It would take hours to discuss Christian/Judeo theology. I hope you invested some time researching the site Jewishvoice.org (it's a Jewish Messianic viewpoint). God bless you and yours; may He protect you. God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem. A Christian Zionist
28. #27 taz man (pls post)
solomon ,   bklyn   (06.22.12)
We disagree a bit more than you think. 1. One prophecy that has NOT been fulfilled and that many of my Christian friends ignore, is the main prophecy; that when the Messiah comes there will be peace in the world. Didn't happen. Some friends excuse this by saying there is "no timeline" for this. There is no timeline for when the Messiah will come, but when he comes there will be peace. We are far from that right now. Hence we Jews still await the Messiah's arrival. 2. The Dalai Lhama is still alive (to 120). He is a great man, believes in peace, and lives his life that way. Judaism says you don't have to be Jewish to get to heaven; just obey the Laws of Noah, which he certainly does. There is no 'one way' to get to heaven. That, to me, is more like the true G-d. Ha Shem was even willing to save Sodom and Gomorrah if Abraham could find 10 people who were righteous, even when they wouldn’t have been Jewish anyway. Judaism also was the first religion to state that each individual has a direct line to G-d; no intermediary necessary. I'll stick to Judaism, thank you very much. 3. "Messianic Jews", "Jews for Jesus" are nonsequiters (sp?). A Christian is one who believes in Jesus as the Messiah. Look it up in a dictionary. Messianic Jews and Jews for Jesus are Christians. If you say they are culturally Jewish, that is still not Jewish as the base line of being Jewish is believing in many things, including that the Messiah has not yet arrived. Ask any convert to Judaism. 4. From Pat Condell: ‘While Christians and Moslems want you to believe the way they believe, Jews don’t care what you believe as long as you leave them alone’. A very apt statement. 5. I sincerely wish you peace.
