Reuven   (06.23.12)
2. who is responsible for idf
marv   (06.23.12)
barak is in charge of the idf who complains that response is feeble. Since 1999 barak has been feeble, weak, weak, weak like olmert in uniform. Bibi, you want barak, good luck.
3. JESUSALEN
JESUSALEN ,   JESUSALEN   (06.23.12)
4. Wrong analysis
Maurice ,   Los Angeles, USA   (06.23.12)
The reason Israel is not responding more forcefully is because of pressure from the Obama administration. Obama does not want anymore distraction five month ahead of the elections. I wish Israel's leaders had more guts and prioritized Israeli citizens' safety.
5. israel test its new weapons on gaza .why not test the new ha
abdalla ,   plantation   (06.23.12)

Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.23.12)
7. Feeble - very very very feeble
Hennypenny   (06.23.12)
Completely agree - poor show, encourages more terror.
8. Has been too restraint for many years
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.23.12)
We should have responded with massive force from day one.
9. How about just blowing up some Hamas poobah's house?
Scott ,   USA   (06.23.12)
Give them five minutes notice. Then blow up another, and another till they get the point.
10. NU? "Armed Resistance?"
Yoram ,   Houston/Israel   (06.23.12)
Meshugeh!! This is pure aggression that will benefit nobody except to cover more Arab corruption in the Gaza and PA. Seal the borders, aim better, fire faster and more often. Peace talks scheace talks, these guys do not even think peace. Lets' get it over with, take back our land, and let those sophisticated and developed smooth running Arab countries like Jordan and Egypt keep their pets.
11. Nothing substantial will happen until
Israeli 2   (06.23.12)
this government will get some balls. We have the green light to do America's dirty war against the pirates off Etiopian waters and weapon transfer through Sudan. We can pound the attackers here and there...but nothing substantial. This government MUST change. Its cowardice is only due to it being Corrupt. MONEY!
12. bibi, barak, always the hand sitters, Where are the MEN?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.23.12)
13. Hamas Rockets from Gaza
ltrail ,   United States   (06.23.12)
On Monday alone, 130 rockets and dozens of mortar shells were fired into Israel proper, from Gaza. This is not just a minor thing, it's an on-going war by so-called palestinians. This group should be worrying about an Israeli mop-up operation. It seems that hamas does not have control over their Gaza district of Israel. Hamas better just hand over Gaza to Israel to control, for the better good of all folks.
14. Nice, Real Nice
Brett ,   Florida   (06.23.12)
I guess it's nice right now because the murderers are off target. How about if the Kennsset moved to Sedrot? How about if Israel grew a backbone? Oh wait, I know, they are celling the hamas leadership, telling them, Israel might HAVE to stike back. Way to go Israel.
15. What else is obvious
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (06.23.12)
The response of the IDF to over 100 rockets being fired into the South has been feeble. This is not the fault of the brave IDF soldiers but of the cowardly politicians who give the orders. Namely, "Defense Minister" Barak and "General" Gantz. They are to blame for not protecting the Israeli people.
16. Then Israel needs a new strategy
Ron ,   OC, US   (06.23.12)
Why not cut off supplies into Gaza, strike economic targets and launch cheap rockets into Gaza. If that does not work Israel can empty its prisons into Gaza and direct illegal African/Moslems into Gaza. A little imagination and the rockets will stop.
17. I Think That The IAF Should Prove hamas
(06.23.12)
Wrong about a feeble response, due to turmoil in eygpt? Personally I think that the IDF Brass Should Be HEAVY HANDED IN Response, for the Simple reason of These Terrorists Call for a lull or truss or whatever The F₪€k they call it! If these sand fleas Renig MAKE THEM PAY & CHANGE THEIR MIND by Doing What They Say or ELSE? שבת שלום/ברוך שם הא
18. Get a new defense minister
Rachel ,   US   (06.23.12)
19. Response to gaza Terror :So whats new ?
DT ,   TA Israel   (06.23.12)
It's been like that before, during Cast Lead and after. Israel is pandering to World opinion and the fear of global condemnation. That is more important that the lives of Israelis who live there in the South
20. Out of sight, out of mind. How about not reporting on Gaza
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.23.12)
at all? Since all we get to know is: "they fire at our population, we do nothing AND some say it's not good" we'd be blessedly oblivous to that fact and could go on our daily life in Tel Aviv. For as long as that lasts! Avanti Hammas!!!!
21. And Barak keeps his enormous salary
Ralph Haglund ,   Sweden   (06.23.12)
Normal democracies have referendum, where people can say what they want and think, like Switzerland. It is obvious that Israel needs it even thou the leaders are dead scared of it, afraid of losing some power. When even the army says the top guys seem dead afraid of arabs and Obama, and do not care a bit about Israeli citizen with life-long traumas.....
22. The IDF and Iron Dome are a waste of space
Le Corbeau   (06.23.12)
The Gazan Rocketeers Club can fire their rockets at will into Israel. The anti-missile system and targeted attacks by the IAF on the rocket launchers are ineffective, so what's the next step - another ineffectual Cast Lead offensive that murders more innocent civilians than freedom fighters?
23. Too Much Restraint?
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (06.23.12)
Big hits will be coming soon. Patience.
24. forget about israeli strikes
jimmy   (06.23.12)
idf wil not strike syria chemical stockpiles and will not strike iran no way no how. bibi cannot make a decision on his own and barak specializes in paintball guns, hitting empty buildings and aggravating ashkenazi and the idf, which has no confidence in barak.
25. One for one...
Beart White ,   Norway   (06.23.12)
IDF should return every rocket with one pinpointing a hamassss apartment/house/home. Then after 110 rocket hamaassss would say pip, pip.... Why let a neigbor terror-cell continue to exist??
26. When, Oh When,
noname   (06.23.12)
is Israel finally going to get its finger out.
27. IDF too restrained
Dan ,   Jerusalem   (06.23.12)
Israels leaders are failing again for the umpteenth time to stop the war on it's civilian population in the South. Despite the overwhelming Israeli firepower and ability to eliminate the terrorists our political leadership is once again failing to execute it's responsibilities to the people it is sworn to defend. The government has lost its reason for existing. If only the well fed leadership had to live in the South. Move the Knesset to Sderot.
28. Israel needs a real leader like Obama
sheik rattle & roll ,   usa   (06.23.12)
The US Military under Obama has killed Osama Bin Laden and is killing terrorist leaders in Pakistan on a daily basis. Israeli leaders are cowards. What kind of leaders would let it's citizens cower in bomb shelters? If missiles where launched at US citizens from Mexico I can assure you Mexico would be bombed back to the stone age and occupied by US Marines. Look at Lebanon and Syria. The Syrian government is killing it's own people and Israel does nothing. Lebanon is controlled by a terrorist group Hezbollah that is aiming tens of thousands of missiles at the heart of Israel and the IDF does nothing. This is pure weakness, nothing more nothing less. I am so happy that America will have 4 more years of Obama.
29.  Of course the response is feeble
A ,   Belgium   (06.23.12)
What more can be expected from feeble defense minister Ehud "creampuff" Barak? Doesn't Israel have anybody who can replace this wimp and do the job he or she is supposed to do, mainly, defending Israel?
30. Problem that Israel now faces
Lizzie Harris   (06.23.12)
Is that now Mubarak is no longer in power, and the Islamic Brotherhood has essentially taken control of Egypt. Egypt will no longer turn a blind eye to Israeli massacres in Gaza. Israel is dependent on Egypt maintaining the closure of the Rafah crossing. If Israel over excites the Egyptian population with armed reprisals against the Gazan citizens it is likely that that border will be opened. Which will be a serious disaster for Israeli officials, as that would probably nessescitate the re-occupation of Gaza. Something which Israel can no longer afford both diplomatically and economically. Which is why Ariel Sharon unilaterally withdrew in the first place.
